Terrible hotel building with terrible customer service…read more Building is old and consist of few buildings combined. Need to change elevator 2 times to go to your room. Rooms are nicely decorated but not what you expect for $1000 a night. They are way over priced for the quality. Front desk staff is terrible. Don't know how to handle issues which you will have plenty. We didn't have AC 2 out of 3 nights and they didn't even feel bad about it. They said basically it is what it is and we have to deal with it. One night they moved us to another room and they were acting like they were doing us a favor. It was major problem for us. second night they moved us to our room which has broken AC And gave us boxed fan to cool off. Front desk manager is clueless and don't know how to handle issues and he has kids working for him who do not know how to handle anything. They are like teenagers. I would never ever stay there again and warn anyone not to there. Oh you will wake up 5am because of dumpster trucks getting the trash and it takes like 20 min. Another thing is their damn roosters , they start 4am and won't let you sleep. Jesus, it was 3 days of hell!

We wish we had checked out and stayed at Marquesa hotel instead. But everyone was at the same hotel for the weekend so we stuck it out. For the price point, ones expectations are commensurate and this place was not even in the same universe as other hotels charging the same rate. The hotel is right on the water but in key west, the same can also be said for a gas station. Right away you know there's a problem because the elevator to reception smells like rotting seaweed (sargassum). The reception area seems like a guest room that was adapted and its small and dark and doesn't work. Then you get to the guest rooms from the year 1985 with chair railing and crown molding that has never seen a magic eraser in its life. Covered in 40 years of dust and who knows what else. The blinds have never been dusted or replaced in 40 years. Are you getting the picture? The head board had mystery smears on it. Floors were filthy with 40 years of accumulated dust. We dared not step one toe into the murky pool. We watched as guests sat there for hours, drink after drink, and never got out. Not even to use the bathroom? Ewwww. Every day the streets flood with high tide and poor civil planning so coming and going from the hotel means wading in ankle deep water and probably sewage, which is probably why the elevator smells so terribly. No wonder all the associates there seem so sad. I would be too if I worked there. I was sad for the resources and time spent here that I wont get back.

One thing we've learned is that if you have a special request, just ask , they're happy to help whenever they can. Our two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family. We love the layout and found it incredibly comfortable. While many guests prefer the ocean-view rooms, we actually enjoy them, even with the occasional cruise ship in the harbor. Besides, you're in Key West! Take a walk and explore, you'll find gorgeous ocean views all around the island. The location truly couldn't be better. You're within walking distance of Duval Street, Mallory Square, great restaurants, shopping, and so many Key West attractions. Also watch out for the valet guy. I rolled down my car window to find out where I should leave me car while checking in and despite being less than 10 feet away from me, he ignored me and walked away. After I checked in and tried to get my kiddos situated in the lobby with our luggage so I could go self-park the car I finally got his attention by him calling out "hey, can you move your car?" To which I replied "As soon as I'm done doing what I'm doing. And for the record, I tried to ask you where to park and you ignored me and walked away so... sorry, not sorry?"

It was so poorly handled that the representative gave us a $100 food credit to use at the bar, while waiting for the room issue to be resolved. My wife specifically selected this hotel because it's one of the few with a private beach. On their Key West Travel Guide, on the website, Sunset Watersports, Casa Marina Key West was specifically mentioned as a private beach that is well-maintained. The hotel made zero effort to remove Sargassum from the beach area. The piles of this seaweed are all along the water's edge. The rotting odor is disgusting and can even be smelled in one's room. No one is at the beach, adding to the congestion at the pool(s). Casa Marina Key West was disappointing.

I chose a poolside room (shared balcony). I was given room 3 and I loved it. :) There is plenty of room for two people. The bed was so comfy and the pillows were perfect. They have complimentary water (2 bottles) in your room. They have a mini fridge and options to buy snacks and liquor. They have fruit infused water next to the pool daily. You will stay hydrated. There is an honor bar next to the water; which has a few pricy options for a beer or other canned beverages. I did see plenty of people have their own drinks poolside. So, outside drinks are allowed at the pool...but no glass. They have two pools. I preferred the pool towards the back. There are lush beautiful plants all around you and you'll often see little lizards scurrying by the pool. They did not have a late checkout for my room but they were nice enough to hold my bags and have use of the pool while I waited for my friends to arrive. I would stay here again but during high season, the rooms get expensive. I loved room 3 but would love to someday stay in the cute cabin looking rooms up behind the pool. They have a covered porch, sitting room m, and a large bathroom. Overall, the service was solid. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, the bed was amazing, and the pools were a lovely respite from the crowded streets and heat of the city.

He understood our predicament very well, and it was literally less than five minutes from filling out the paperwork to taking off in our golf cart. We were a group from Margaritaville and Margaritaville has electric golf carts, so driving a gas, golf cart was a bit different, a little rougher, but all in all the experience was amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you J. V. Rental. You literally saved this Midwestern girls life because apparently unbeknownst to me I had a really bad case of heat stroke. You are simply the best.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. While there were some positives, there were several issues that left me disappointed. The hotel's location was convenient, and the exterior looked promising. However, upon entering the room, I noticed a stale odor that persisted throughout my stay. The furnishings appeared outdated and worn, giving the room an overall tired and uninviting ambiance. One of the main issues was the cleanliness. The bathroom had visible signs of wear, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. Additionally, the towels provided had stains on them, which was quite off-putting. Noise was also a problem. Thin walls meant that I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms, making it difficult to relax or sleep peacefully. This lack of sound insulation was a major drawback. The breakfast offered was mediocre at best. The selection was limited, and the quality of the food was subpar. It felt like the hotel was cutting corners in this aspect, which was disappointing given the price I paid for the stay. On a positive note, the staff was generally friendly, although their ability to address the issues was limited. They did their best to assist, but it was evident that the hotel lacked proper management and resources to truly improve the guest experience. Overall, my stay at this hotel was not up to par. With outdated rooms, cleanliness concerns, noise issues, and a lackluster breakfast, I wouldn't consider returning. We would definitely stay here again. It's adults only. You get a complimentary drink when you first check in along with a quick tour. They have small pool and bar outside. Very calm/chill environment. They don't serve breakfast, but they offer a discount at a neighboring restaurant for guests staying at the Eden House. They do offer coffee/tea in the lobby though. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms. Wasn't bad since we were just staying 2 nights. There wasn't a TV but that didn't bother us. We weren't in the room that much anyway and we found other stuff to do! There is not a refrigerator in the smaller rooms (I'm not sure if they have them in the bigger room though either), so you might want to bring a cooler if you want to keep stuff cold. Maybe bring some snacky foods too. It's a short walk to Duval Street and they do offer bike rentals at a reasonable rate. Over all, we had a great experience. People working there are friendly. I seriously love this place! It's our second time back to the Eden House and had a great time yet again. It felt so good to lay in the sun during the day and relax in those hammocks in the garden area! Happy hour was great and the Front Desk staff was super friendly. Not to mention, hubby and I slept so good while we were there, the housekeeping ladies know how to make a clean, comfy bed. We were in a porch swing deluxe room, which is a little bit bigger than small deluxe we were in last year, definitely worth the upgrade. I would recommend the Eden House to anyone looking to have a great, clean, fun, stay in Key West! read more

rude guy at the front desk. total jerk, shared bathroom was a nightmare, our drunk neighbors were abnoxious and they kept locking the door to make it more private for them.. it was a nightmare and the staff couldn't care less.. there are plenty of other hotels to go to in key west.. avoid this one read more

Only thing I would mention is that the showers are small but there's not much you can do about that at a B&B. I did notice that anyone under 18 is restrictions from June-July. Staff were very helpful and check in/out was easy. We were so grateful that on our last day they held our bags so we could go out on the town (we had a late flight). I'm sad I didn't get a chance to get into the pool, there just wasn't enough time. The water was warm and jetted and it seemed like a great place to lounge. If we ever get back down to Key West we would be happy to stay here again.

My wife and I planned a trip down and up the Keys in January as I was to start chemo and radiation on February 5th. On the 4th we received an email from American that our flight from PHX to MIA was canceled. We immediately reached out to each hotel, car and activity group that we planned. Each activity group understood and refunded us. The car company penalized us for 1 day but refunded the other 7 days. The hotel in Islamorada and Key Largo both refunded us with the Islamorada charging us for one night but it was better than nothing. We didn't mess with the one in MIA because it was a cheap hotel and wasn't worth the hassle. The Pier House first asked us for proof of the cancellation which I forwarded the email that I received from American. Heard nothing back. Reached out again asking for a refund or that we'd even be willing to rebook in May once my treatment was over and a few weeks to heal up. Finally we heard back that they were denying the refund and wouldn't accommodate our request to reschedule "because your non-refundable hotel did not qualify for modification nor refund exception.". While I understand it was non-refundable, a level of understanding should have been given as this was beyond our control and we were willing to reschedule. Needless to say, that cost me nearly $2500 so I assure you that I won't be booking with them again. I just want to pass along the compassion that this hotel management has and I'd personally recommend looking at a different property.

Had a small cleaning issue which was immediately resolved, parking in the loading zone to get your key (if late check-in) was hectic because the street is busy of nightlife. Once you get your keys (3 per set) one is for the gate, one for the room and one is for the entrance to the Inn. Parking during the day watch for the friendly roosters, they will wake you up! You can call to select your preferred breakfast. We loved the fresh brown hard boiled eggs and fruit. There is so many nice accommodations available, they provide towels for the pool or beach (bring them back and shake the sand out beforehand) sunscreens, bug spray and community fridge with inexpensive drinks for your walk or night in. Box fan is available if you're warm natured, bike rental and Gecko #11 has its own parking space which is worth the extra expense due to the amount of meter parking fees. Pool and hot tub are nice. Gecko has its on private hot tub, watch your step though they are very deep. Patio is secluded, very private, with hot tub, table and chairs outside. King bed was super comfortable, Roku TV and robes in the closet were a nice addition. We look forward to returning!

The rooms were fairly typical Key West, somewhat small, some bathrooms were updated and others were not. We stayed during an unusual cold spell and had to use the wall heater. It was loud and put out an unfavorable smell. It took some time, but it did eventually burn off. We could have used some instruction on the various remotes. One was for the air/heat wall unit, one was for the ceiling fan and the other for the TV. We never could figure out how to turn off the fan. The room was decently clean, but needed a good dusting. Overall, we would stay here again. The location, food and drink are really good, the bed is comfortable, but the room could use a bit better cleaning and instructions for using the remotes. The area outside our second floor room was large and private with chairs to relax in. That was nice, too, as well as the pool.

Really loved hanging out on the back patio by the pool between activities-- and loved the complimentary wine/beer they keep there! My only complaint might be that the rooms could have been slightly better equipped, like with a microwave for example, rather than having to use the communal microwave downstairs. However, this was still an exceptional stay and I would be happy to return!
