Finally!!! I've been in Matawan for 4 years (from Brooklyn & then Staten Island), and have only just now found a nail salon I could spend hours in. The prices are still super-reasonable because they've only just opened (hopefully they'll keep them reasonable so I can be a regular!) I went in with my 9 and 4-year-olds for my eldest daughter's birthday. She got a mani/pedi with me, and my youngest got a mani. The techs were super-sweet and treated my girls as full-price paying customers - I've been to places where they just kinda sweep tiny humans under the rug ,and just get them done as quickly as possibly to get them out. My girls have never been to have their nails done though and now they're in love - uh-oh! The massages really did them in! lol and they gave them hand painted nail art, too!!! My mani/pedi were super relaxing and the massages perfect. My nails were gorgeous (I've already removed the polish though since it chipped, so no picture). I'm really impressed with this salon and am even more excited that it's down the street from my house! My other favorite thing about this place (which is pretty important to me) is that aesthetically, it's beautiful inside, they don't have any TVs (I HATE TVS AT PLACES IN WHICH I'M TRYING TO RELAX!!!!!) and they have nice calming music playing! Brand new. Super friendly. The massage chairs for pedicures are amazing. The massage chairs they have you wait in to try are crazy! They have lots of specials that they explain but don't push on you like some places do. TONS OF COLORS and basically all brand new polishes. I got a spa pedicure and plain manicure for $45 (it was their special for $35 spa pedicure and $10 more for a manicure). When I called before hand I think they said their price for mani/pedi was $35 regularly but Im not positive. My only complaint is that I like my nails to dry under the lamp because it really hardens the polish and makes it last longer and they had me sit in the massage chair BUT I didn't ask so I don't know if they have the lamp dryers as well (my fault). read more

I've been here twice now and got a gel manicure. The woman who did my nails each time (totally forgot to ask her name ) was very detail oriented, took her time to make sure it looked it's best. My nails look amazing AND the gel lasted until my best appointment, full two weeks without any chipping or peeling...and other than being grown out, looked great still after that time. I would recommend making an appointment and they are generally right on time. Salon is clean and hygienic, everyone is very friendly, overall great experience. So happy I found this gem!! I walked into this place and it's very clean, like, immaculate. The music is super relaxing and you might fall asleep (not a bad thing!) So, they took me right away and I got my manicure -- a gel nail fill and color. The price is the same as everywhere else, and the quality is much better. This is hands down the best nail salon I have ever been to in my life! Luckily for me I live 3 minutes away! Adele took care of me today. They took me without an appointment (I'll make one next time). I felt so welcomed by the staff who are true professionals. I left having only spent $40 (not including tip) and was amazed with the experience. The staff does not let you want for anything. I have never been treated so well at a nail salon and I've lived in super urban areas with high end salons like Hoboken and Downtown Jersey city. Experience walk through below if you are interested in the details! Everything is brand spanking New including the massage chairs which are awesome! They offer you coffee, green tea or water about 36 times. They have a huge OPI selection. I got a spa pedicure for 35 bucks thinking it's just a 10 min massage plus regular pedicure. Adele put some type of lotion stuff on my legs, wrapped them in plastic then a warm towel. She took that stuff off about 10 mins later and then added hot shea butter,massages then adds lotion more massage, then when I thought she was done, hot stone massage! Finally, she added the hot wax bags on my heels then a meticulous pedicure. $34.99 With that spa pedi your manicure is also just $5 where you soak your nails in jelly crystal water stuff instead of whatever the hell it normally is. Then, yup, more massaging, arms and hands . Along with a meticulous manicure! Grand finale...you guessed it! Neck and upper back massage while you're drying your nails. The owner is clearly unorganized. It makes me sad to write a negative review bc she is a really sweet woman but I can't keep quiet anymore. Now there are appointments for a reason and they are never honored. I waited 30 minutes with my appointment and had workers walking past me confused on where to go next. Some workers tried to clean a tub instead of coming and working on me when there were other empty chairs available(Also I don't have horrendous feet where people want to steer clear lol they just don't have proper direction) People schedule appointments so that they are not waiting around 30 minutes. I understand stuff happens business gets behind but It's not just once in a while it's all the time. The owner bounces between clients doing their nails because she overbooks allows walk ins or maybe she doesn't have enough workers but don't take the walk ins or do not schedule anymore clients for the day. People come for a relaxing time and to have their nails done. They do not expect the person to be rushing, and that's what the owner does. Bounces between people and rushes. She just paints and tells you to go. She doesn't do the whole service that comes with what you are paying. If you can't honor appointments stop taking walk-ins or come up with a new appointment system. Last time I was there for a regular pedicure and a powdered manicure I was there for over 2 1/2 hours almost 3!! That is a long time! I was not getting anything crazy. I do not have long nails. Most of the time it was me sitting around waiting for someone to do my nails. Unfortunately This will be the last time I give my money to this establishment. I feel bad bc like I said the owner is sweet but she is in over her head. Maybe hire someone who can help you get organized and show you how to run the business with scheduling properly. I hate this place. The man who runs it is so rude and nasty. Every time I was in there he was either yelling at a customer on the phone or in the salon. I was so uncomfortable listening to him yell at someone over the phone about making an appointment. It's almost like he doesn't want your business. As if he is doing you the favor! He's such a dick. By far my favorite nail salon in town! The staff is always so welcoming and willing to get you in even if you don't have an appointment- which is me all the time. Michael is the only person in all the years getting manicures that has done my nails PERFECTLY. He knows exactly how to shape them the way I want them, and encourages me to let him know if they aren't literally perfect. I'm always going from one nail salon to another and I don't know why I even try because Eden Nails in Aberdeen will always be my favorite. I had gel nails done a week before vacation. The next day they started chipping and opening up at the tip. The following day I stoped by to address the matter but was told to come the next day as they had no availability to assist me. I stopped by the following day and they fixed those that cracked. I advised that other which are opening up at the tip should be corrected also but Michele the manager declined my request. I really wanted to like this place! It's so close to my new home & I thought the reviews were pretty good. I'm still into the old-school regular manicure so when I saw their huge "regular" polish selection I was thrilled. Place was clean & manicure was fine. Fast forward 2 days later.... my manicure AND pedicure are both completely chipping! I am someone who gets their nails done religiously & can usually maintain my manis about a week/9 days & my pedicures RARELY ever chip. I can't help but question if they put thinner into their polish to extend the polish life. I probably won't be back after this because it just wasn't worth it. I've heard the manager be rude to customers, and on occasion has been short with me. Gel manicures were getting sloppy and I was noticing my nails were being filed on a slant, and I'd have to ask to correct. Was scheduled for a gel pedi and mani, and because i was unhappy with the work being done i asked for the service to be cut short and her not continue, i was still charged the full price and was given a complete attitude for being unhappy with the services performed. Made another call to a nail salon, being i leave for vaca tomorrow and his exact words to me were "next time step in the corner to make a phone call like that. Doing that in front of me is rude." Then proceeded to slam my gift card on the counter when handing it back to me and walked away. went for a pedicure & gel manicure. I had pictures of what I wanted which was a simple design (just a couple accent stripes) The woman who did my pedicure just did one coat of white polish. No design and definitely needed another coat or two. A different woman did my manicure which came out decent, still not completely what I asked for but I was satisfied. However the whole time she did my nails she was on not one, but TWO phone calls. She was answering the phone for the salon but also taking a personal call with her headphones in at the same time. I asked the woman who did my manicure if she could add the simple design on my toes afterward since the other woman didn't understand what I wanted, and she was very rude about it. She did agree to do it but what she did was absolutely terrible and messy. At that point i just paid and left because i felt like i was inconveniencing them. Not only that, but after several hours my toes were still wet. When i got home i had to take them completely off and redo them myself. Total waste of money. The manicure looked okay but was longer than I wanted and not the neatest. Wouldn't recommend coming here. I am not someone who ever speaks up or corrects someone if i am unsatisfied with their service, but this was something so simple with reference pictures and they still didn't care to do it correctly. read more

I have been a loyal customer to Eden Nails since it's grand opening. My appointments were made for every 2 weeks on Saturdays. My nail technician was Emily, the owner's (Michael) wife. The nail salon is clean and relaxing, and Emily is AMAZING. There has never been a time that I was unhappy with her service. I always get a gel mani, and regular pedi. Well, during my last appointment, I had a crazy morning, and forgot to bring extra cash for Emily's tip. I paid for my service with my debit card, but I only had a small amount of cash on me for her tip. Michael (the owner) insulted me for my tip amount. He rolled his eyes, took the cash out of my hand because Emily was busy. He said the amount of the tip out loud with bitter nastiness while shaking his head in disgust. I explained to him that I was short on cash, and that I would double Emily's tip during my next appointment. I told him that he shouldn't treat his customers that way and that he was being extremely rude to a REGULAR CUSTOMER. I then told him that I will not be making another appointment and that I'm taking my business elsewhere. Before leaving the salon, I apologized to Emily and told her that I will not be coming back because her husband is disgusting. It's a shame, because I had finally found my go-to nail salon. The spa pedicure was heavenly and my gel manicures have lasted over a month where they typically they last a little over two weeks. WARNING TO ALL: Just an update to my last review from MAY (below) - After this visit, my Big toe on my left foot was throbbing for days, red and swollen..I wound up going to the Urgent care (45 co-pay) because I was in SUCH AGONIZING pain and I couldn't take it anymore...it turned out, I caught a damn infection on my toe from this place!!! My entire nail lifted on my toe and that is what the pain was..my nail separating from my toe!! I wound up having to go to a foot Doctor ($60 Co-pay) who prescribed me a topical medication (another $40 - and this is only for a 3 month supply) and I also now received a $280 bill in the mail for the foot Dr. So this freakin $50 appointment, wound up costing me over $400!!! Plus, this happened right before summer so I couldn't wear any of my sandals all summer long...UGH!! If you continue to go to this nail place (I don't know why you would!! There is a nail place on every corner!)...bring your own tools...it may look clean on the surface but that doesn't mean they are sanitizing the tools correctly. This is going to take at minimum, a year for it to go away which means, I am going to have to spend an additional $120 on more meds for this infection. This wound up being a $550 Pedicure! So, just so I can warn everyone else and, broadcast this embarrassing disgusting infection, I am doing so, so that it doesn't happen to anyone else..AVOID THIS PLACE.....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! read more

My daughter and I went there today to get pedicures for vacation. Felt rushed. They did a horrible job on my daughters toes. Filed straight across. They didn't even use a top coat on her toes. Saw a kid and took advantage of her. Mine were ok. They didn't even clean up the blue nail polish off of my skin. I would not recommend. read more

Unfortunately I needed to update this review because Eden Nails let me down. Last time I went to Eden, I got a quick manicure and pedicure since I just needed something quick and easy. My pedicure didn't even last three days and my manicure didn't either. Manicures never last for me but I was disappointed about the pedicure since I never have a problem. I went today to go get my nails done and I didn't have an appointment. Instead of asking me to wait he said he didn't have time for me. Most nail salons ask you to wait but he didn't even do that. Very disappointed and will not be going back again. Eden Nails is great! It's affordable ($25 for a gel manicure) and their staff is super friendly! Unfortunately my one nail got messed up and I had my gels for less than a week! The owner was very nice and told me to come in anytime. He didn't charge me either. Very nice establishment. Very very clean. I went there for a pedicure and gel manicure for the first time. They had 12 stations for manicures and 10 pedicure seats and 4 massage chairs to use free of charge. This was the first salon that I have been to that place disposable covers in the pedicure baths..it's always a plus to not have to worry about getting a fungus or something when you go for a pedicure. The pedicure was a great experience...in the price a leg massage, hot stones and paraffin on your heel was included for $20.00 (winter special) Everyone there was very nice and accommodating. I saw a girl named Emily and she did a wonderful job on my mani and pedi. She offered me snacks and beverages and gave a nice back and neck massage after my manicure.
