Bought a Groupon yesterday for this establishment and called to make an appointment for today. They gave us a 12 noon appointment, and we got there at 12:05 after finding a parking spot and paying the meter. When we walked in, they asked me and my husband who had originally bought a couples massage if we could do it in separate rooms. We asked why that was, and they said that they had given the room away already. We were very confused and asked them again why they gave it away and they said it was because we did not come at 12 o'clock on the dot. My husband asked why they didn't call us first to see if we were keeping a reservation, and all she said was I'm sorry. Needless to say, we called Groupon to get a full refund and we will not be coming back here. read more

(Full 90 minutes body massage) I really wanted to like this place even though I read so many negative reviews. I took the chance and decided to get a full body massage and then on the next day a reflexology massage. I had a Groupon Coupon which was such a great deal that I could not pass up. I was so so disappointed in the full body massage. As other Yelpers mentioned the woman kept leaving the room at least three times during my 90 minute massage. She never said why she was leaving she just kept walking out and returning at least 10 minutes later. The massage was a 1 out of 5, one being the least I could give a person. I could hear other guest conversation in the next room or in the hallway area. The owner/manager was like a bouncer at a nightclub, she made sure you paid 40% tip to the person giving you the massage. She gave me a difficult time and she did the same to other customers telling them this was not a nail salon or hair salon you have to (have to) pay 40% tip. She was very intimidating and I felt like she would let you leave if you tried to leave without paying the 40% tip. I paid because I had to return the next day for a reflexology/foot massage. (Reflexology) The woman who gave me the massage did a decent job at least a 3 out of 5. I was in the hallway where they have the foot massage area. I could see all the women coming out of the rooms who had people waiting for them to return to finish their massage. It appeared to me the the women who were giving the massage were taking breaks, eating and drinking which I guess is okay but they should tell the paying customer that they will be taking 10 minute breaks between the full body massage. So in reality the massage is not really 90 minutes it is probably 60 minutes at least I got to see why the women were leaving the room. During my last few minutes of my foot massage a young women left the business without paying a tip, the person in the front tried to stop her and other women came out to argued with the young women, they made her pay a tip not really sure what she gave. She then stood in the business waiting for her friend to come out of the other massage room. Yes I got to see the action from where I was sitting plus I was getting ready to leave because my foot massage was over. I think the women don't get paid through the owner they may only work on tips so that is why the tip is so important. It seems like to owner charges a rate and the tip if for the staff supplying a service, this is only my opinion and guess. I am sorry I did not listen to the reviews. Awful experience! I bought foot spa Groupon for my husband and I, but the store manager kept on asking us to buy store package instead of Groupon when I called to make reservation, and even asked me to upgrade to full body message and pay the difference in store, which I had no intention to. After service, the lady who did spa for me asked me to pay 1/3 of the original fee as the tip. If the service was good, I don't mind. But with her service, that was really ridiculous. You can't beat the price for a 70 min body massage for $40. The service isn't that great though. The lady in the front will give you attitude when you come in with the Groupon promotion. They'd rather you pay up front, but there's no need to be rude about customers buying the Groupon deal. My fiancé and I went to get a massage. The massage itself was excellent. We tipped 27%. The woman at the desk stated, "that's it?" To which I replied, "over 25% isn't good enough?" This place WAS really good until it just changed ownership this past month. My usual two girls were fired as were most of the ladies I heard. They will not honor the old stamped cards (buy 10, get 1 free massage) and I was up to my 7th one. They increased the price by increasing the time which was not a big deal to me. My new girl's skills was pretty decent--not the best but overall a 7/10. I have been going to this place for about 3 years now. Great massages. After the pandemic the prices increase a bit but I was ok with that due to the situation. My issue is that they force you to give them unusually high tips! A tip is supposed to be voluntary not mandatory and the amount of the tip is at each person's discretion. In June, I got a 90 minute massage was charged $70.00 and they MADE me tip $30.00 that is over 40%! My intention was to tip $20 which is almost 30% but they said no you have to give $30. Last night I took my friend there for the first time and we both got an hour massage for $50.00 as my friend was tipping her she was told $10.00 was not enough she wanted $15.00. I told them $10.00 is 20% . I think they should let you know upfront that their prices are not as posted because they dictate the tip amount. I love massages that's why when my cousin gave me a gift certificate in this spa I tried right away. I called them for an appointment and when I arrived they let me in right away into the room but I waited 20 mins before the lady masseur comes into my room and the manager said she is not finished to the other client. What's the use of calling and having appointment if your not on time for service. I visit here regularly since my cousin introduce them to me, but every visit I have to wait 15 to 20 mins inside the room before the masseur will be available. the place is not relaxing like other customers review you can here the noise of stepping on the floor or the noise on the next door or the noise of the street. but all the masseur i got are good and every time I left the Spa I would say all the sore and back pain totally gone. The newest arrival in Fort Lee, Eden Spa is well worth trying. An appointment is recommended as weekends are busy although the spa is already expamding to accomodate the demand. The cleanest and most welcoming of any found in the area. The background music enhances the relazing experience and the massage is performed in the most professional manner and each masseuse is well trained and pleasant. As one who has received massages for over 20 years in high quality spas in Asian, European and Mexican countries, I appreciate a good deep tissue massage and recognize one who can give a good massage. I'm genuinely confused as to why this "spa" even has a groupon as an option, since they are so clearly displeased if you purchase one. I purchased the valentines day deal on groupon for my fiance and I, and when he called to set an appointment, he of course let her know that he had already purchased the session on groupon, and when she heard that, she got extremely upset and told him to never buy via Groupon again, that she would give him a better price in house... then when he stated he'd like to set the appointment for 5pm, she said she couldn't accommodate that, even though he called over a week in advance and told him she could only take us at 8 or 9 pm, when he responded saying that was too late and that he would have to call her back after discussing it over with me, she immediately offered 12pm as an option... we're baffled lol. My boyfriend and I got the $29 groupon. We took an appointment and after making us wait for twenty minutes they started the massage. The massage was great and they did a good job however it was far from peaceful and masseuses kept taking amongst themselves. But the worst part was the end when we paid a 20% tip ( would have been 25-30% had they not been so chatty or kept interrupting and getting up during a "timed" massage. I am not the type that would write reviews about everywhere I went to; but this time, I do feel the urge to write about my terrible experience at this place, so that other people can make their informed decisions before they go there. Both me and my girlfriend got groupon deal (foot n body)to try this new place. We both were not happy about their massages n decided never go back again... Not saying they tried to push for some service different from what they offered on groupon, so that you will spend more money; they looked so desperate for money and not appreciate when you tip them by the regular standard... The worst thing is their massage skill... I am an experienced person with getting massages. The masseuse was so hard on me, even after I told her to be lighter... Yet, she didn't get any of the spots right... She just used all her strength to press on my body... I can't believe how a skinny petite lady can be so strong... The bottom of the back side my head, neck, shoulders are still hurting so much today - four days after my massage. I hope she didn't do any permanent damage on me. In the past 20 years, I may have had 200+ massages...I got a massage here from Anna for 90 min and IT WAS PHENOMENAL. I was blown away. She was very tiny but incredibly powerful and I cannot say enough about how great the massage was...in fact, I am going back for another one with her tomorrow. I was at this place just a week ago and didn't really have the problems many people had. I was there on a Sunday night and that might be why it was very quiet and the lady who gave me the 70 minutes full body massage did a great job, she went out onky a couple of times to grab some stuff but didn't even take a minute to come back. The experience overall was great for me, like I said, it could be because of the day and time I went. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the lady at the front desk seemed like didn't like the 10 dls tip a I was leaving for the lady who gave the massage and gave a look. My wife, and two of her friends, got gift certificates for this place. They showed up a bit early for their 7pm appointment; the front desk lady gave them an attitude for being early (first red flag). The massages themselves were decent, but when it came time for my wife and friends to pay, and they produced gift certificates, the front desk lady got a nasty attitude and complained about not being told before hand about the form of payment. My wife and her two friends paid with $40 certificates each; two of them gave a $10 tip and the other one gave $6 . The front desk lady got upset and told them to get more money from the ATM machine, they have at their location, so they could tip more. Needless to say my wife and her friends walked out of that place promising never to go back again, let alone recommend it. THIS WAS THE WORST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN ..!!! i had gone for a 1 hour deep tissue massage, and not even 10 minutes into it, the masseuse started asking why i paid through groupon instead of at the salon. then when she found out how much i paid, she stopped our session for a good 10 mins, (mind you, the 1hr clock is still going on) she stopped the session to see why i paid so little, she also then asked for proof that i actually did pay for the service, asked to see me phone ad what i bought. (she had already taken the payment in advance.) she kept looking to see why the amount was little compared to the prices they charged. later on during the massage, the masseuse started getting phone calls, so she picked up every single one. so the whole ambiance and quiet atmosphere was kinda gone at this time. once the 1 hour bell rang, she immediately stopped our session. (even though 10 mins of that was discussing money, and more time talking on the phone). at this point, i was very dissatisfied with this service, and debated if i should even tip her. While i was reaching for my wallet, she started asking "wheres my tip? i need tip?" so i tipped her, and the masseuse gave the most disgusted look right after, it clearly wasnt what she was expected. this has been the most unprofessional experience i have ever witnessed. I was having horrible neck pains so decided to schedule an appointment asap regardless. When I walked in the owner was up front and rushed me into the room. The 60 min massage was OK nothing to brag about. Actually the only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because the massage was decent. The space is a bit uncomfortable because the walls don't hit the ceiling so yes you hear everyone around you. I had to listen to a man continuously tell the masseuse he didn't like what she was doing. When my masseuse left the room to get warm towels and hot stones, she kept leaving my door open while I was laying there with just a towel covering me. The icing on the cake was at the end, I gave my tip to the masseuse, she counted it in front of me and threw it to the owner. The owner then tells me that I had to leave a bigger tip. Overall, the service was absolutely horrible! I was in such shock that this establishment is still running. Don't go here - I made a 7:30 PM appt telling them on the phone I had a groupon that I had purchased the same day. I brought the paper voucher with me and arrived 5 min early; the receptionist and the owner went back and forth for 15 minutes about the groupon while I sat and waited. The owner told me to call Groupon because the voucher number was not active and that it happens all the time. I called Groupon, but the automated system told me it would be an hour wait to speak to a representative. The owner wanted me to pay the regular price and come back another day to use the groupon after I worked it out with them. I almost didn't go because of the awful reviews. I too purchased a Groupon deal for a 1 hr. massage. The ladies were not rude. Nobody asked for an additional tip, and certainly, my time was not cut short. If anything, I think that it was one of the best massages I've ever gotten. You cannot tip on these services based on the discount price you pay. Don't know what tip was offered, but I certainly think that if someone "works" on your back for an hour, they deserve a decent tip. Any salon would charge at least $85-$100 for a 1 hr. massage, so tip accordingly. So I was really looking forward to getting a nice massage in this place. But it never happened. This place is shady. The owner/manager is an idiot. She was the one who is supposed to do my massage cuz I requested for a female. I got in the room, took my clothes off, and put the blanket over me, and waited for her. When we arrived we were told we should pay more and get a full body massage because they didn't have availability for our appointment. Neither of them were good. It felt like my grandma was trying to give me a massage. The lady's hands were just too weak and small. Purchase 1 hour massage for $29.00 threw Groupon, I called Eden Spa to book a massage and mentioned that I have a Groupon Voucher. The lady told me that I can come in anytime. Before I hang up she told me that next time not to purchase threw Groupon as the price is the same if you go there to pay. I have a lady name Lucy that gave me the massage. The massage was just ok comparable to other massage places that I have been. There are at least around 5 massage places in Fort lee Main street. The reason why I only gave Eden spa only two stars is that Lucy gave me an attitude and a sarcastic smirk and laugh after I gave her $15.00 tip. This is my second time going to this place. The first time I went with a Groupon and was told that is it the same price (and maybe cheaper) without the Groupon. The first time, the massage was good. I didn't care for my room to be directly in the line of sight of the lobby so that when the the door is opened, people can see in. Other than that, the session was good and I didn't get hassled about the 20% tip I paid. So I went back again recently for a 70 minutes massage. The masseuse was great, the only part I wasn't very comfortable with was when she stepped on my back. Otherwise, I love the massage and was thinking about asking for this particular masseuse when I come back next time. Then came time to pay. I paid the $40 + tax and gave the masseuse 20% tip. The desk lady asked the masseuse how much I gave her and the masseuse said 20%. The desk lady said the minimum tip is $10, but most people pay $20. Minimum tip??!! I've never heard of such a thing! And nowhere does it say that there is a minimum tip! I gave the $10 "minimum tip" and the desk lady again said that most people pay $20 and that it is hard work and I shouldn't pay by a percentage. I couldn't justify paying a 50% tip so I just gave her a $10 and left. If they want to charge a minimum tip, then post a sign or something. And like other reviewers, I feel that it is super rude to ask for more tip and then be reprimanded that I gave a 20% tip. Now, they have lost a monthly customer. I will be going to other places even if the prices are higher. If this place wants a higher tip for their masseuse, then increase the massage price and don't shame the customers into giving more tip than the customers are willing to pay. read more

Will never return, I don't usually leave bad reviews but how I was treated was appalling. Great massage but was treated very badly over the tip. Was giving 20% tip and was laughed at and humiliated into leaving over 40% tip. Was informed that it was a massage and not a restaurant. I was mortified. Was told that I should be leaving twenty plus dollars an hour. Therapist and receptionist first laughed at me at then sneered and looked in disgust. Being new to America I wasn't sure what to do, have since learned that this amount is not the norm.
