OMG, I went there in the winter and it didn't disappoint. Main floor has lots of Sauna rooms. They go from cold to very Hot, I do not remember the temperature numbers. Each one of them has a purpose that fits with your needs and body structure. For me the hottest one works the best. As I sweated a lot and stayed stagnant my body started to relax and get to the point that I couldn't get up. Too bad it got too hot that I needed to get out when its about 10 mins or I'd die... Please remember for hot sauna you are allowed to stay up to 12 mins and MUST take a rest in room temperature for at least 10 mins. Else you might suffer... There are sections that you can just relax, sit and chat, watch TV, stretching section, or a sleeping section. The experience in the main locker room is like going to the gym, there are people walking in nude to change and to go to the hot tubs and shower. Should be a normal experience after you have been to college gym, changing room of swimming pool, or even a normal gym. After the whole experience of 4+ hrs in this place my whole body was so relaxed that I couldn't move when I was leaving. My body was so weak and flimsy after the whole experience as if I went through a "Happy Ending"... Very well recommended if you want to have a "Happy Ending"... There are limited street parking parking so you might have to work hard to find some parking spots...

Affordable and alternative spot to sojo. You can definitely get a discounted ticket from Groupon. This place can get packed but I still enjoyed it. There are a variety of different sauna rooms some smaller than the others, rest areas and an area to play chess and go. What I love about this place is the 400 degree sauna that really cooks you. We stayed here for about 5 hours and went to all their saunas, we ended up getting a little hungry and ordered a meal to share plus a large bingsoo which was really refreshing and cooling to your body. There are no hot tubs in the general area and only separated inside the women and male area Great spot to come here to spend the day to relax.

This is my first time being at king spa. I'm really happy to be here especially I had a rough week at work. My body was sore and from the city to Jersey, the trip isn't bad at all. I'm definitely coming back here since the service is amazing. The place is big and spacious especially sanitary. They have everything especially other service and it gives an authentic Korean jjimjilbang. After I got out of the place, I felt so much better and I can breathe better since I was in that sauna for a good while, definitely it's good for your health! So yes, I recommend coming to king spa!

First time at Korean spa, definitely worth it. Most efficient to come on a weekday, and right when it opens. Weekends become quite packed by noon and people camp out so it's hard to find a seat to rest. The extra hot sauna was the most popular. The gold pyramid sauna unfortunately smelled of sweat. Not sure if each sauna is a different temperature or they just have different items in it--mineral salt sauna was pleasant. Plenty of restrooms and water filling stations. Locker rooms are clean although the hot tub/shower area did get a bit soggy by the end of the day. There are definitely people cleaning the bathrooms and floors, though. Food was yummy albeit a bit expensive Definitely coming back on a weekday!

I have been coming to King Spa and Sauna for years. It's always such a relaxing place where I literally end up spending the entire day. Any services with food purchases can add up. Find Groupon where the admission is discounted. Note: for services, the tips are included. And they exceed 20% which is kind of shitty IMO because then there is really no incentive to go "above and beyond" but it is what it is. There are water dispensers throughout the facility so that's always nice to have. The place (by my standards and since I've been coming for so many years) has declined a bit but it's still properly maintained and has more good than bad. One of the showers didn't work, one of the shower hose holder was also broken and some areas appear a bit more worn out than others. The food is a nice touch too, but they used to give so many more side dishes in the past (you now get only 3). The workers are nice enough and polite but they are stingy with time and never go over a minute more than the allotted time for any service - MAYBE the hip bath but I think those ladies work independently of the spa itself because I paid them directly (I've had deep scrubs and massages and those are tallied up at the end upon checking out). The place is also clean - yes, you walk around barefoot once in the wet area but I've seen the staff actively clean and scrub the floors mats and floors. The steam room in the wet area is great to open up your the pores before a scrub. There are 4 main whirlpools/baths/hot tubs - one cold, one warm and one hot. And one super cold, with an over the head jet coming down. My gripe can be with the fact that it does get packed on the weekends, so be mindful of that and the hours you come (usually the earlier, the better). People also need to have proper etiquette and follow instructions upon entering - there are plastic bags upon entering the locker room where you take your outside shoes off immediately and put them in the plastic bags upon entering, WELL BEFORE the area where people are walking sound barefoot. Once inside, you need to SHOWER FIRST. I saw a lady walk straight into one of the hot tubs. WHYYYY. there are signs EVERYWHERE telling you what to do and what not to do. Also, from the steam room - rinse off first, ladies, before going back in the pools. It really isn't that hard and the staff does try to enforce these rules as well. Once upstairs, I adore and live for their saunas and relaxation rooms. I also get my ass handed to me by my friend in checkers too (they have chess and checkers games.) There are plants and little water fountains/creeks that are dispersed throughout, which are also such a beautiful and nice touch. I'll never turn down a day at King Spa. 10/10 recommend + the body scrub too.

My favorite spa in the area even though it can get crowded at times it beats the glitz and glamour of Sojo in Edgewater and it's the original Korean spa of Bergen county and NJ. Once was the biggest spa in all of the east coast in the United States King spa provides saunas, baths, massages, and Korean food all in one place. It's definitely my go to if I want to relax and detox. Prices are lower on Groupon even though they have dramatically gone up since a year ago. Still cheaper than neighboring spas in the area.

Okay so at first I was a little overwhelmed by the lack of organization but after the Korean scrub and understanding the structure of the place I enjoyed my visit. The staff was welcoming and although they try to sell you additional services it's not pressured.

Go early in the morning. The place can get really crowded from mid-afternoon. I went early morning, but maybe grab a bread from the local Korean bakeries situated nearby, as the food options inside King Spa are more for lunch or dinner. There's a free shuttle but it's more convenient to go by bus or car (which I did). Feels pretty authentic like actual spas in Korea. The wet area isn't very spacious but the common area has so many hot rooms of various heat, aromas, and ambience. The cafeteria inside is decent, pretty tasty and not too pricey. I had chicken teriyaki that came with plenty of banchan sides. Non-Korean friendly since the staff can help you in English if you're confused & there seemed to be more non-Koreans than Koreans around when I was there.

I had an amazing experience here. Make sure to get here early to get a spot in the free self-parking. I ended up doing the valet parking for $5. The nude area is completely optional. You receive a uniform and two towels upon entering the locker room. You get a locker and keys. I went to eat first and had spicy veggies tofu soup. I forgot the exact name. I brought my water bottle to fill up my water. There are several saunas to experience, ice room, beauty salon, juice bar, quiet area, chess room, and the list goes on. I look forward to coming back!

What I got: Fall Special 4-in-1 Full Package (~$135): includes 1 Service (30 min Korean Body Scrub) + 1 Admission + 1 Face Mask Pack + 1 Bonus Admission Aya's take: Back at King Spa & Sauna! This time we arrived around 3pm and were able to snag street parking. I highly recommend checking their website and Groupon a few days before as they usually have coupons you can redeem. This Fall Special 4-in-1 Full Package was good value as it included 2 admissions (this alone is ~$70 on their website for 1 admission) and a Korean Body Scrub (gratuity is included) which I've never done before. As you are checking in, you secure your time for the Korean Body Scrub. Once it was close to my time, I asked the lady sitting at the desk (near the lockers) and she directed me to where I needed to go. The Korean Body Scrub Basic is a 30 minute body scrub with a "Korean Italy Towel." It removes dead skin cells and buildup you might have. It actually wasn't as relaxing as I expected but definitely a great way to exfoliate. My skin felt much smoother & cleaner after. We enjoyed some of their saunas and a game of chess before we headed out 4 hours later. It was a nice way to spend a weekend day and rejuvenate before the start of another week.

I loved King Spa,it was a bit of a drive from our area...truly worth it.Another GROUPON hit and the purchase is available for use immediately (sometimes there's a wait). We arrived and since it was our first time we were not sure of the exact check in process. The counter help wasn't "helpful" at all but we figured it out and navigated the process on our own.The spa is very clean and once you get your key towel, shorts & tee shirt...the adventure begins.Even if you are not comfortable with the nudity of entering the pools etc, there are many other relaxing rooms and activities to partake in.We had an amazing time and after a few hours felt BRAND NEW.I am thinking on buying a package,if it comes out more affordable than a GROUPON. We are looking forward to returning asap:)

Came here on Valentine's day which fell on a Friday and it was packed. Used a Groupon deal, easy to check-in. Remember to bring your ID! During check-in, they keep your ID bcus they give you a locker key wristlet. So when you check out, you give them back the locker key wristlet and they'll give you back your ID. I forgot my wallet, so they accepted my bf's credit card instead. Place has several floors and has lots of signs. Needs some getting used to to navigate. They have lots of sauna rooms, but only a few ppl can enter at a time (most just 4ppl). So if it's full, you need to wait until someone comes out so you can go in. But thankfully most ppl don't stay inside the sauna any longer than 15-20min. If they're weak sauce, then they'll leave within 5-10min haha. The hottest sauna room (located across from the ice room) has more space and can fit more than 15ppl. Apparently, they bake their eggs in this room overnight. It's THAT hot (I think 200+°F). They also provide a mat to sit on so you don't burn your butt on the floor. It's a bit tough to breathe in there so PRO TIP-- it helps to tie a small towel around your mouth. Food was expensive but tasty. Furniture and decor was a bit old and tacky, but didn't bother me too much. I was just there to relax and have a fun time with my bf and it did the job.

Perfect place to relax. Some parts are a bit dingey but overall nice. I like that in addition to the multiple saunas that there's rest areas where it isn't as hot. There's an extra hot sauna where temperatures can reach over 250 degrees F, basically an oven. My partner and I just wanted to try it, the lady managing the area meant well but it was a bit off-putting that she was basically scolding at us when we both felt fine afterwards. I know she was concerned since it was our first time but we followed the instructions and didn't stay long. Food is better than other spas like Sojo, a bit pricey but authentic. Can easily spend a day here.

Cleanliness/Vibe - Once inside, they offered me tea and I was pleasantly surprised at the bright ambiance (all those who dislike dingy massage parlors pay attention) and some chairs for waiting. I was promptly escorted to the first room which felt very close to the entrance, yet it was quiet and relaxing once I lied down behind the curtains. There was a sign advising people to NOT get naked for the treatment, which I found amusing. (Awww man~~~! Lol .. just kidding.) Treatment - I chose the one-hour massage focusing on neck & shoulder + lower back pain which is a recurring story of my life being on the tall side. My therapist, Maria, spoke limited English but communicated well to ensure my comfort with the pressure level, and when asked to go harder, dished it out no problem to dissolve those knots in my shoulder. She even gave me hot stone therapy which really helped ease my backaches. HOT STONES? That's a first from inexpensive spots! She did a thorough job and did not skimp out, going a bit after the alarm beeped to ensure completion. She also wasn't distracted by other needs of the place and stayed with me the whole time except to get the hot stones, which I really appreciated. I am taking the time to write this review because it's either so bad or so good. This place gets…read morethe latter accolade. I wish I can keep this gem all to myself but then I thought why not share the love and promote supporting local businesses such as this massage place. Don't be misled by the current storefront name "Moonlight Spa." It's legit and no-nonsense spa that really does the service impeccably and the place immaculate. Front-desk: Cindy or Jordan in the front does not push for services. I personally love the hospitality and no frills kind of welcome I get and the nice gesture of their offering of room temp Poland Spring water post-massage. It's no Pelligrino but hey in Asian culture you should not shock your system with cold water especially after a massage. Massage: I like the deep and hard tissue massage thrice in this place so far usually by older women and they are strong and know where to dig through your knots. Being in a cavewoman posture and hands tingling pins and needles from my "desk" job, I find relief with their technique -- it's like they know where to ease the pain and address my pressure points. All in all I feel like a pretzel from the massage and I sleep like a baby that night afterwards. Of course, you can request them to go deep or go light with the massage! I find them very attentive. Place: It's accessible by public transpo (there's Uber, too). I like to be on peds though, you'll pass by local shops regardless which direction you are coming from. The place itself is very clean, minimalistic (I find clutter anxiety-provoking.) I find zen here though the seats for foot massage could use a visual update. The massage rooms are simple and neat. I love and feel comfortable with the thoughtful positioning of pads and sanitary covers because Covid and Monkeypox are real! I also appreciate the fact that they offered me a mask when I forgot mine. I really think wearing a mask for venues like this should be an ongoing practice. Price: It all comes down to the $ at the end of the day and I find this place up to my standards and meeting my price point for an in and out kind of place -- you can spend a whole day here but certainly if you are on the go and want to get a message in during your lunch break, this is a good place for that. I think it's reasonable and they do give discount cards like loyalty points. Honestly, I'd love for them to have a loyalty program by referral! Other incentives: I love love how the hot stones come with the body massage. The sheets smells and look clean - trust me, I have high standards. The floors are mopped (you can tell) and the music is serene and calming. All in all, kudos to this establishment for what it offers and the service they give. I feel like a new person every time I leave this place and in better spirits than when I'm about to open the door. And yes, it is that good! This place is on top of my self-care list! When you go there, say Michelle's post on Yelp sent you here! :)

I have had many massages before but none like this, and usually they flow and feel good, even deeper massages usually can be intense and then there is usually a release, I pretty much was in pain and could not even relax. The next day I had bruising all over. Totally felt beat up....i won't go back.

This used to be my go-to spot for a massage. When I first started coming, the prices were quite…read moreaffordable, and even after they raised them, I continued going because the massages were consistently good. This was all pre-COVID. After the pandemic, I understand that prices needed to increase, but they kept going up steadily, making it less feasible for me to visit as often. Recently, I decided to return because I had a membership card for a free massage. However, after the session, they refused to honor the card, saying it was "too old" and that it belonged to the "previous owner." I found this confusing, as the membership card had the same name, address, and phone number as the current business. To add to the frustration, they giggled while explaining why my fully stamped membership card wasn't valid. It felt like this was more important to them than retaining me as a loyal customer. I still tipped my masseuse $20 because she did a fantastic job, but unfortunately, this will be my last visit. I'm disappointed that they prioritized invalidating an old membership card over keeping a returning customer.

Best in Town! I unfortunately tried several other massage…read moreplaces/spas in town until this one. Yes, I like one of the others for the wet scrub and sauna, but THIS IS THE BEST MASSAGE. "Yumi" helped ease my migraine and even meled the muscle I always have tense in my back. She felt where my body needed it most and did her job well. The people with lower reviews are complaining because they don't like tipping properly. 20% is OK for going out to eat (but minimum): not services like this: especially when someone does a great job (sorry but some Yelpers are cheap and then they shouldn't be spending money on a self-treat like this then). The music was exactly what I want/need to relax and it was clean with no smells. No smells=truly clean. So relaxed right now that I thought I'd forget if I didn't do this right away. Sleep time now.
