The venue is open and has a large breath of equipment to help you focus on training your core and specific muscles groups. I took a Momentum class that gradually builds in intensity. The Focus was on athleticism & endurance where the pace was 6 rotations (2 each at 70 - 80 - 90% off weights) on 6 different stations. Let's just say you can feel the burn! I also got adjust positions based on my flexibility and limitations. I like to give it 100% so I did change too much. It was such a great experience! I could see few monthly classes in my rotation. I really appreciate the private parking too. That's a huge plus for the area!

I told more than one trainer over in phone and in person that I did not want their services and to stop calling or emailing me. Yet this did not cease. Finally the predatory cancellation / membership annual renewal fee. They will literally charge and annual renewal fee on top of the next months fee. Doesn't matter if you cancel day of, they'll still charge you. The website offers cancellation form but this location doesn't approve them. I literally had to drive 1.5 hours to get to this location just to cancel and was met with additional fees. All around highly do not recommend this gym unless you don't have other options. Be careful of the cancellation when you do move because they will not hesitate to steal your money.

I have received a wellness consultation there and participated in their bootcamp classes. You also have the option of one-on-one personal training where the attention is all on you and your fitness goals or you can opt for the bootcamp classes (what I did!) which are small groups between 5-10 individuals, where you will will feel like you are in basic training for the Army.:) My experience with bootcamp and trainers: The bootcamp exercises vary...sprints, jumping rope, circuits, abs, squats and more. It's truly one of those feelings where it hurts but feels good. You know what I mean? You know you are working hard but it helps get results. You can burn 700+ calories in just one session! The owner Michael (who also trains) and one of the trainers Tyson (she really works you out!!) really care about your fitness goals and they do not yell at you like in real basic training! In addition to training, Shape Up gives you nutritional tips and also has their own newsletter that includes articles based around fitness/nutrition, as well as a healthy recipe that helps you to stay the course. I know when I get it in my inbox, it helps me to stay on track! The prices are in line with other studios but the personal attention they give goes far beyond many fitness places.

So if I add myself to a waitlist, and someone drops out at midnight, and now I've made other plans - thinking I can't get in this class - he CHARGES YOU! Get this, you're next in line... you actually go and fill the spot, HE STILL CHARGES ME! #MoneyGrab The owner's waitlist policy is disgusting, it's cheap and it's disgraceful. I've contacted my credit card company and the BBB as this is the 3rd time I've attempted to reason with him on this fraud. He couldn't care less and enjoying milking his members for all their worth. $22 is charged to you if you're on a waitlist and even say NO I can no longer attempt! I was clear that I didn't want to be locked into a contract, so they suggested a month-to-month option, but it ended up costing over $200 a month. They were also constantly trying to upsell me on add-ons like red light therapy, pushing yet another membership even after I had already signed up. It felt excessive and uncomfortable. When I later decided to cancel, I was told I needed to give a 30-day notice, which was never mentioned when I signed up. The way it was communicated felt dismissive, basically telling me I would definitely be charged for another month. It feels like they treat your card like it's theirs to charge whenever they want. The atmosphere also changed completely after I became a member. Before joining, they were attentive and friendly, but that disappeared once I signed up. It's easy to get in, but a nightmare to get out. The classes were unreliable as well. The instructor I signed up for missed a lot of sessions, sometimes resulting in weeks without classes. I was promised discounts for those missed sessions, but they never followed through. At one point, I went almost an entire month without the class because the trainer quit, yet I was still charged the full amount. On top of that, I was offered a $50 discount that never showed up. Instead, I was actually charged even more. When I asked about it, they said it was a billing mistake, but that doesn't change the fact that I was overcharged without my consent. The only good class was the heat/and tone and the trainer left. And you have to book a class to go and guess what if you can't go they charge you 20 dollars! EDIT: She will say she gave me a discount, after a month with no classes I never got it! Why do you think I'm upset? She also says there was not any classes only for thanksgiving? Ha what a joke, the trainer was gone for weeks after and there was not a sub once. AND this whole month, I have not been able book a class, because there are NONE. I feel bad for the people who bought a heat/tone package and never have a class to go to. This lady is lying through her teeth.

The building is restricted entrance at odd hours & I love that you can enter if you have a pass to the building or if you have the PF pass on the app. Feels super safe. As for the gym itself, it is so clean & well-kept, and there are plenty of machines for everyone to use. I used to feel intimidated because I was clueless on how to use what, but I feel pretty confident now & not scared when I'm working out.
