Unprofessional and ridiculous. Placed an order thru the website. The day the order was scheduled to be delivered they called me and said I needed to pay more for delivery fee or pay to upgrade my item or cancel because my order was too small. What a scam. If the website was incorrect (not sure if it was or not) that falls on you and Edible Arrangements, not the customer. Why wait until the DAY OF delivery to address this? Will not ever use this store again -- probably not EA as a whole either. Incredible unprofessional and disappointing. read more

It was amazing that the young lady that answered my call was so patient with me. I called from Pennsylvania to send one get well arrangement. I ended up sending a Graduation one too .. so in Essence Brittany helped me get alot done today because she took her time with me and helped me do the online and figure out what is what in edible and what is get well and what graduation. I thought they were all is the same. The Edible arrang online was saying it wanted to send my flowers out one day and the edibles the other day... so I went online and i looked up edible arrang in Escondido. The only thing that came up was all these other flowers shop and the closest edible was this one. Brittany helped me navigate through and because of her patience , I was able to order the flowers and edible and they are all going out tomorow. So I actually was just going to give up before Brittany saved the day, . My husband has been buying arrangements for me from this store at special events (Valentine's, Mother's day...) so I decided to order something for a friend's dinner last week. I asked for catering and the two platters I ordered wer perfectly on time! The delivery driver Pablo was also very courteous. All the guests were impressed with the quality of the fruit, very fresh and the chocolate is prime quality. I would not recommend this location. I ordered 3 medium and 2 large specialty holiday baskets online for 8:30am pickup the following morning. I arrived and they were not ready. Waited 30 minutes, which is a lifetime with two toddlers in the car. I asked if they could tell me which ones were the large size and she says, "The amount of fruit is the same, the large just has an extra reindeer." So I asked her if I paid $10 for one reindeer and she said "Yup!" Funny, since the online description says a large includes additional servings. I filed a complaint with the national customer service line. They said I would hear back from the owner in 24-48 hours. Still nothing and it's been almost a week. I'm pretty sure they would have called me back if they knew I had over $3000 worth of orders for client gifts this month. Oh well. After telling my husband about it, he said he had trouble with this location too when buying me a gift a few months ago. Don't waste your money or energy on this location. Try the one off of Carmel Mountain Road by the Vons. Their customer service and product is amazing! And they appreciate my business. read more

Ordered for Valentine's Day, and it didn't show up. It was to be delivered to my wife's office, and now she won't be back at work until next week. Trying to get through to customer service, but the line's been busy all evening. Gee, I wonder what people are calling about. I had been to their location in Chula Vista a few times. Once walking by it with my daughter. We stopped in, were given a free sample, and bought a few greeting cards and something small as a gift for somebody. I was at a film festival last night, and they had a booth set up. It was easily the best food to sample. They had chocolate covered strawberries (which everyone loves), but all kinds of other fruits in chocolate. Granny Smith apples, which were delicious (I didn't think you could make them with anything other than caramel). There were bananas in a white chocolate/dark chocolate combination thing. They were great. As well as other things (pineapple, nuts, etc). I didn't try those. The store manager was there and very knowledgeable about their products, as I was asking a handful of questions. The fruit baskets are just such a unique gift item, I've always thought about ordering them for somebody. I never realized the vast variety of products this company had. I'm glad they were out there, helping to make my evening a great one. read more

Talk about going "Beyond the Call of Duty.", Paul with Edible Arrangements in Encinitas certainly did. I found out my sister's mother-in-law at age 107 was dying. She obviously had a great life but I remember what it was like watching my mom pass. I knew chocolate-covered strawberries couldn't make it all better but I felt for the few minutes they were in their mouths they could bring them a happier sensation than sadness. Well, Paul arrived to deliver and of course, there was no one there. Plus I didn't realize it but the phone number I had in their profile had changed. He patiently waited while I slowly tried to figure out her new number. I was waiting to hear, well I have got to go I have other deliveries. Instead, I mentioned that she had a daughter that lived somewhere around her. He miraculously said let me have her number and before I knew it Paul had set up delivery to my niece I forgot I asked him was it too hot to leave them at her door previously and he sent me a weather map! My sister just wrote to me and has picked them up from Brooke's and said they will certainly hit the spot. Placed an order on 2/09 for Valentines Day delivery. It wasn't delivered on time and the office closed. Called the store and was told someone will call me back so we can make arrangements. Waited for over 2 hours and never got a call back. At past 7pm and I tried to call again, their office is now closed. Very disappointed. It was my first time ordering and with this experience I will never do business with this company again. It is Valentines Day and I am here explaining to my wife why she didn't get anything from me. I went there tonight at 5:45pm, saw online they close at 7 pm, my baby was asleep so I called from out front to see if they had arrangement. I needed a nice one to take to my friend after surgery in Encinitas (I live in San Diego) She said hold on let me get my manager, after holding the same girl came back on and said that they did not have that and were closing in ten minutes to come back the next day. I've been using this location off and on for a number of years now - using both online and phone ordering. I haven't sampled this location's product as I haven't been the recipient - although that WOULD be amusing to send a cute little arrangement to myself at my workplace from "a secret admirer" every so often just to get my coworkers wondering. I never spammed the recipients with polls or surveys on the quality of product or timing of delivery but I never heard any ill talk about the gift horses's teeth either so I assume it's all been good. Needless to say I'm happy with their service and plan to continue using them in the future. I might add I usually don't wait till the last frantic minute to place the orders so I haven't stress tested their services. Your mileage, as always, may vary greatly. read more

Although the edible arrangement looked as I expected it to, it was not delivered on the same day despite what the website offered. I received a phone call saying that it was too late in the day to make a same day delivery without any compensation. Your company should not allow someone to place an order for same day delivery, if it is not feasible. I also sent an email to complain, and yet I received no reply. read more

Stopped in to pickup a 12 piece chocolate dipped fruit box for a friend's bday. They were running a special for $10 (thanks slickdeals). I came in at 5:30 and they were able to make my order within 15-20 minutes. Everyone enjoyed the fruit, especially me! read more

I was so disappointed with my experience here. I happened to order the day of the San Diego blackout so I didn't get my order which is understandable but the way everything was handled afterwards and the fact they got my order wrong merits this disappointed review. I drove all the way to their location only to be called as I got there that my order wasn't even made and wouldn't be ready despite my quoted pick up time. Despite wasting gas and having to wait an extra day for my goods, I had to pay extra money for delivery! I had no time to pick up my order due to work and they even delivered the wrong items! The only redeeming factor was the taste! After all the great reviews this location has received, I have to wonder why I was treated so poorly! read more

Val had a lot to talk about when the original order I placed was unsuccessful in getting delivered. She did a very great job of talking her way into making me feel better for not being able to get a birthday gift to my friend on time. Her promises were never fulfilled a day later and with the help of a trainee the next day my phone calls to them took up over 2 hours of my life that will never get back. I did get back only a small sum of what I paid (over $50) because the service was so disappointing. My gift was delivered two days late and WITHOUT the promised (make you feel better) upgrade. The saddest part is that I was REALLY hoping Val could pull through and get her team in check. She may work hard on her customer service script but its going to take an entire crew to make an arrangement happen. Thats all I needed, and it was a stressful upsetting affair. read more

I ordered online for delivery on early morning 2/13 for delivery 2/14(valentines day). I was out of the country in South America on business travel. I assumed my order would deliver. I retuned home on 2/15. I asked my family if they received my valentines delivery on 2/14. They said no. I called EA and they said they could not deliver in Valentines day as they were "swamped". They said they could cancel the order or deliver afternoon on 2/15. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager offered to upgrade the order. I told here "that's not the point. The point is valentines day has past." Finally they delivered Late afternoon 2/15. The driver said the same thing as the manager said, "we were swamped yesterday." Wow...!!!!! read more
