I'm only writing this review because I called 3 times to speak to someone about this and was told the manager would call me back. My Aunt had ordered my wife and I a nice Christmas Desert Board, the only problem was, it didn't come with the board! Which is more like a nice tray. Emailed the corporate office on December 23rd, was given a case number and said someone from the Pompton Lakes store would get back to me within 48 Hrs. Being that it was during Christmas I wasn't expecting that, but I did expect someone to reach out by the first of the year. I mean customer service is what they are there for, right? Lol so this was a quick and awful check in. Prior to today, I knew Edible Arrangements as a tremendous company that does fruit baskets, chocolates for special occasions (that's all I've used them for at least in the past, In Florida I might add). Interestingly enough, as I passed by this physical location in Pompton Lakes, they had a sign for 3.99 smoothies so my attention was immediately caught and I pulled over to order. When I entered, no one was at the register to greet me but I didn't trip about it because I put an order at the pizza place next door so I had time to burn. I ended up waiting a few minutes before hearing a loud sigh and an employee emerging from the back. It was very evident she did not want to be speaking to me as her First question was "what did I want" and as soon as I said a smoothie she rolled her eyes and said they don't have smoothies. There's a sign on the door saying that they serve smoothies so I pointed to it and asked if they're out of all smoothies, she responded "we're too busy" and walked back into the kitchen. Just a very strange interaction, very rude customer service , and if this is what the physical locations are like, I'll pass. read more

We received flowers and some candy from this location, with no name or card attached. We didn't know who had it sent it to us as a gift, so I called the store to find out. I wanted to thank whomever had it sent. They told me that the person did not want to be identified, and that's why there was no card attached. First of all does that even make sense, to send this sort of thing anonymously? (Their mistake, btw.) I said would you please call them and ask them if it's okay to be identified because I would like to thank whoever sent the package, and it doesn't make sense to send a gift like this anonymously so it's probably a mistake. She said it wasn't a mistake but agreed to contact them and then get back to me. Never happened. A week later I get a text from a friend of the family saying, "did you get the gift basket from us?" I told our friend that there was no name or card so we didn't know who sent the gift. She said that there was indeed supposed to be a name and card with the gift so edible arrangements messed up big time. People's feelings get hurt over these things. It could be so damaging. I felt really miffed that I wasn't given the opportunity to thank them before they contacted me. It was embarrassing even though it wasn't my fault. I asked my friend if she was ever contacted about getting permission to reveal her name and she said no. Long story short, don't use this location. They messed things up, lied about it and never bothered to remediate the situation. It's so unprofessional to not add a card with the name of the giver and then not allow the recipients to know who sent the gift when the recipient calls to inquire. Ordered friday afternoon for an early delivery Sunday Moms Day. I told Mohamed we would be gone at 11:00AM, No problem he says. He also asked me to spell Charles. Called Sunday at 10;30AM. She said we're busy no deliveries before 11:30 AM. There was a language barrier with everyone except Jose the driver. At 11;45 he called to lecture me. Mine was left in the sun and ruined. No response from Pompton. Filed complaint with corporate. After 2 days went to credit card to cancel mine. My daughters found it's way to a neighbors fridge. Hers was $90.00 mine was $80.00. So she sent me a picture. Her strawberries were moldy under the chocolate. New owners with zero business sense. Mothers day, HOME RUN day for a business like this. I would have had my people in at 4:00 AM to insure deliveries were at the first house at 7:00 AM. Not start at 9:00AM with MOTHERS DAY deliveries starting at 11:00 AM. Both deliveries ruined. No response from Pompton. One order left in the sun, One order containing mold. $169.00 for nothing. 2, $2:00 mugs and $10.00 of fruit. No one buys these for value. This store does not understand it's the spirit and the novelty is why we get these. They don't care and refuse to respond. Now I have to go to my credit card for the other one. Amazing. read more

Never received call from manager. I disputed credit card charge. Credit card called to dispute charges. I received a get well soon fruits of bouquet from edible arrangement on June 21 after 5pm from my colleagues. It looked presentable wrapped in a decorative plastic and fruits had fallen on the edges of the plastic wrap. I placed the bouquet in the fridge for the night. The next day, I unwrapped the fruits; the melons and honey dew were soggy and had rotten smell. I called and left a message on June 23@10:15am. I wanted to give the company a chance to return my call and waited but unfortunately, no one ever called to provide an explanation. I would never give a bad review especially if a business does not acknowledge their poor customer service nor acknowledge customers concern. As usual I waited till the last minute on a holiday. Tried a few places for custom flowers or cupcakes and struck out. Happened to stop in here and the staff was very friendly and courteous and was able to accommodate me with a custom arrangement on the spot. The wife loves the special surprise as did her coworkers. A friend from work ordered me an edible arrangement from the Pompton Lakes location. They promised delivery on a day that I would be home to receive it. They never delivered it. The following day my friend called me to ask if I had received it and I said no. When my friend called Edible Arrangements they delivered it to my house, but I was at work and the fruit sat in the hot sun on my front steps for 5 hours and I had to throw it away, it was spoiled. I called and spoke with someone there who refused to take responsibility, she said that on the day that it was supposed to be delivered, her driver had an emergency and couldn't work. But they never called my friend to tell her that they could not fulfill their delivery promise. Hard to believe there is no one else who can make deliveries for a whole day. Then she blamed my friend who placed the order that it was her fault for saying it could be left on my steps....but refused to acknowledge that was for the day they promised delivery, when I was home, not any other day! But Edible Arrangements got their money and they don't care about right from wrong. And when I told my friend what they left on my steps it was not the same thing that she ordered for me - even the label didn't match what they delivered. These people have no integrity in their business and have no sense of responsibility for clearly communicating with customers. What a shame. read more

I received a colorful arrangement from a loving friend as a sympathy gift. Unfortunately I did not have time to eat it as I was attending to guests and funeral arrangements. The company was very efficient at telling me a meal would be arriving at a specific time and a friendly young woman handed the meal to me. I admit I was disappointed that they called it a meal, and also that I am wary of pre cut fruit. By calling it a meal I had looked forward to something savory and filling to arrive. Fruit at dinnertime was not at all appealing to my appetite. I did admire the creative designs and the white confectionary peace doves and the consideration of the gift my friend chose. I put it into the refrigerator. After the funeral I had time to open it and eat it. I chose the white candy coated dove because my friend was excited about that. It was interestingly tasty that pineapple was inside. I ate just one. Then I went to work and became painfully ill. The pains in my stomach persisted and so did diarrhea for several hours. I do not recommend getting any coated fruit. I also can not recommend getting fruit in the winter as the tiny strawberries were anemic looking. I also find the idea of fruit that is prepared and cut up by a stranger, even as artfully as it appears, is rather intimidating to try. Sadly I had to toss this arrangement and I'm sure it was costly. Ethically, I could not share this arrangement as I was sickened by it. read more

I have received and sent edible arrangements in the past and decided to send an anniversary gift to our son and his wife. As it turns out they were at the hospital having their first child instead of at home when the arrangement arrived. They live in New Jersey and I live in Southwest Florida, so I couldn't run over to get the delivery. The delivery driver called me and we tired to problem solve together. The poor man went to several houses on the street trying to find someone who was home. He then looked over the property and put the delivery in what we thought was the safest place possible until a neighbor came home and went to retieve it. I think this man went above and beyond and deserves to be commended. read more

Very good quality and they might've added some more chocolate to the arrangement, Im not positive. Though it took some of the surprise aspect away, the gift giver gave my number when ordering so the delivery guy called me before delivering. I appreciated his call to make sure someone was available for pickup since it was a hot day and I wasn't around. I let him know what time someone could accept the delivery and he delivered then. I have ordered several arrangements from this store . They always look great and taste fresh!! My last order, not all the fruit was fresh. When I first contacted the store a young girl named Anne just said she could do nothing about it and read their policy. So I called the main number and I was told they had 24 hours to resolve the issue. The very next day , the manager called and replaced the fruit that wasn't fresh. They even delivered it!! It was so delicious !! So, because I only had one bad incident and they corrected it right away and the manager was super nice....I continue to give them 5 stars and my business.
