Our most often morning coffee ordered place. I love their Pistachio latte, their croissant and Sandwich. Sandwich was so much big Alhumdulillah that I had for dinner and suhoor both. A great addition to the Scarborough area (along the Kennedy strip). Shop for furniture, eat some great food! The space is actually quite large, and I love the fact that they don't cram in tables - nothing more annoying when the seating next to you is on top of you lol. I remember coming here when it was half the space, and I've really loved what they've done with the new renovations! The inside feels bright and spacious, with lots of tables available. The food and drinks are very good, I love their different flavoured latte options and toasts/sandwiches. Service is friendly and attentive. However, they have a strict policy on designating approximately 2/3 of the tables as being laptop-free. While I understand the need to maintain a balance between table availability and people using their laptops for work/study, this feels overly restrictive when the laptop-free side of the cafe is mostly empty whereas the "work" side is filled with people that take up a spot for hours. Some alternatives could be having a time limit for tables, enforcing this only during peak hours, or assigning large communal tables to the "work" area so it isn't 1-2 people on a laptop taking up a table for 2-4 people for hours. read more

Just found out about this aesthetic cafe on IG called Edill's Coffee House, and saw how spacious it was online! We decided to come here to get some work done. Little did we know, everyone else was thinking the same thing, too, on a Thursday afternoon lol. The line up at the counter was consistent throughout the day; it is definitely a busy and popular spot for students! Came here for the first time time. Super busy and packed. I would say if you're looking for a seat and want to study here you should come early as the place is so busy and some tables have signs that say no laptops allowed. We got the unicorn drink (matcha and butterfly pea latte) and pistachio croissant to share. I LOVED the pistachio croissant, they warmed it and it was so yummy and melted in my mouth. Cozy cafe tucked away in Scarborough - this place also allows you to work with your laptop but does have restrictions on using it on every table. I tried their tres leches iced latte and the biscoff iced latte and both were so good! I also got their biscoff croissant along with the pastrami sandwich and both of them were pretty decent. TL;DR - A great little spot offering a cozy and quaint environment to get your caffeine fix, work, or enjoy an afternoon with friends. The place is small but spotless! Washrooms are impeccable and the sitting area is a temple if you believe that cleanliness is next to holiness. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I asked what their signature drink was, and the lady at the counter recommended their ice tres lèche coffee. Our party ordered hot chocolate milk, an espresso, and the tres lèche drink, and a brownie. The hot chocolate was delicious. Rich and unctuous, and the temperature was perfect. Too often, coffee houses serve scalding hot cocoa. An excellent option for those who don't want coffee. The tres lèche is a delicious "desert coffee." It has the right amount of sweetness and doesn't hide the coffee taste. If you're checking this place out for the first time, I highly recommend it. The espresso was lovely. The coffee blend is on the fruity side, which I enjoy. If I were to offer one criticism, it would be that my shot was slightly over-extracted for my taste. Please note that I still enjoyed it immensely, so it wasn't a significant issue. Finally, the brownie is homemade and worthy of the name. It hits the right balance between fudge and cake and offers an interesting compromise. Overall, my daughter, that isn't so much into deserts, really enjoyed it, so high points for that. read more

I was a recent customer at the Kennedy location and it was a pleasant visit eating and having a coffee there. However, when my friend decided to get some take out for home (pistachio croissants) I unfortunately found a very long curly hair in the pastry and had to pull it out. Needless to say this was very concerning as you can see in the picture that the strand of hair was quite obvious. I would give zero stars if I could. The disprespect of the staff and the actual owner here is disgraceful. My friend and I came from far away to this coffee house to study since we were looking to change our atmosphere. The coffee house was full, with one side being allowed for laptop use and the other side only being for tablet use. This rule would make sense if it was written anywhere, but they literally make no effort AT ALL to make this policy known. If my friend and I knew this was a thing, we would have not come in the first place, but we were already there and not planning on driving all the way back for nothing. We decided to take out our laptops in whichever table became opened first, as we realized that even in the "no-laptop" zones, people still had there laptops out and were not being told anything. Right after we took it out, one of the staff members told us we can't use our laptops there, to which I replied that it made no sense to me because the whole restaurant was full and we had nowhere else to go. Afterwards I asked to speak to the manager who repeated himself like a broken record saying "sorry these are our rules they are very strict" (while other people still had the laptops out!!), when it was still unclear to me where all these policies were written before we came. Then I proceeded to talk to the owner who completely disregarded everything I said and totally forgot the fact that I was a paying customer just like everyone else. AGAIN: all this would have been avoided if they had just made this policy clear, but they showed us zero respect for us and for our time. I will definitely not be returning to this coffee shop and will be telling everyone I know to avoid it. There is no justification for that level of disrespect towards a paying customer's time, especially when the place of business makes no effort to communicate with the client. read more
