Mushroom and Caramelized Onion Pizza - delicious
    Mariko M.

Too bad this place wasn't closer to home! Or wait, it might be dangerous as I feel that I would come here everyday. Everything here is delicious and you can't go wrong with anything. On Saturday afternoon before closing, it was still packed! Staff are extremely friendly and efficient. There are some tables so my family and I got some gelato and ate it there before our long car ride back to the west of Toronto. A special shout-out to their lasagna! I picked up one massive piece and had it for dinner the day after. I regret not getting a few. It has layers of pasta and it's full of cheese and meat. The sauce is also so good. Good for: pastries, Italian food, pizza, pasta

This was my first visit to Lamanna's Bakery thanks to a friend's recommendation that we meet there and I loved it! I immediately loved the atmosphere walking in and seeing the different stations for pizza, hot table, baked goods and gelato. I was in Italian heaven! To start I just had a mint tea with a Portuguese custard tart which was fresh and delicious. We sat at the front window area and there was a constant line up for ordering. The staff was all nice who I chatted with. Big thanks to Ashley for happily answering lots of questions I had about the gorgeous looking pizzas! I also loved the beautiful graphic design of their boxes I saw people carrying out. Some were huge and must have had cakes in them! I got a pepperoni slice to go and it was fantastic! Thin crust and so delicious! It tasted like authentic recipe from Italy and want to know specifically where. I am eager to return for more pizza and their hot table for lasagna and meatballs!

The appeal of this place seems to be that it has pizza, coffee, a hot table & sweets all under one roof. Prices are reasonable. The decor is pretty nice. Had a deluxe slice for $5.25 & cheese tortellini in rosé sauce for $9.99. The pizza had a pretty good crust - light & crisp - but the sauce, cheese & toppings were lacklustre. It also wasn't heated up enough. The tortellini was so so. Both the pasta & sauce were unimpressive. The tortellini was a bit thick & the filling not very flavourful. The sauce was very ordinary. I'm told the latte was good. Small Gelato (hazelnut & butter pecan, $4.99) was pretty good - rich, creamy & full of flavour, but sweeter than average.

Lamanna's, located on the Scarborough side of the border with Pickering, has been around for many years, serving up some good Italian food, unique pizzas, and some decadent pastries. I dropped in for lunch recently and had their Meat Lasagna. It was a very generous serving and a pretty good value at only $10.99, with bread. I got the last slice in the pan so my server piled on the sauce and cheese. Yummm! On past visits, I've had their veal, pizza, and pastries. Everything has been very good. If you haven't tried their food, you've got to treat yourself!

To start off if I'm only counting the food quality it would be 5 stars. Want to make sure readers understand I'm giving them only 3 because of the very limited seating and also the wait. The washrooms were clean and staff was great. They also offer pizza by the slice which was tasty and enough variety. We also had the arancini, lasagna and some pastries. The problem is they implemented a horrible ordering system on the right side for baked goods. It takes way too long for ordering, packing and payment. Either come up with more staff, a better system or have the online system be better. The items r not pictured and not all items r listed. Happy to give them 4/5 stars if the ordering system improves.

WOW! This spot has been on our bucket list for yeeears. And boy oh boy did it serve! So, to have a big slice you must order a minimum of 24h ahead and keep track of the bakery hours since they are not open most days after 2pm or 3pm. Then, we were pleasantly surprised that the taste of the pizza matched its impressive look! It was Italian cuisine at its finest! I made sure to take photos of the venue because there was so much more than beats the eye to this menu! Gelato, desserts, espresso bar, and hot lasagna (all looked incredibly delicious!!) We arrived 1h before closing and the servers here didn't rush us at all to leave. Overall 10/10 Thank you!

Lamannas bakery is a well known bakery/takeout Italian place on the east end of the GTA. Parking is busy near the store but just park further away if you don't want to deal with it. There's almost always a line if you're just coming in to buy something. Suggest pre ordering to make your life easier. Note that they do have separate lines for hot foods vs bakery. Food: Lasagna - great flavor, lots of nice sheets of pasta to make up the lasagna with sauce between each layer. Sauce has some meat in it and great tomato flavor. Definitely worth getting - 5/5. Arancini - this thing was huge! The crispy fried exterior works great with the smooth rice, meat and cheese inside with some veges. It is a lot of rice but it's well done and very flavorful. 5/5. Pizza - I just got the regular americano pizza. It was quite large and delicious for the price . Their huge pizza slices require pre-ordering the day before just fyi. The pizza crust was thin yet held up to the sauce and toppings. The toppings seems fresh. 4.5/5. Price: Very affordable for the quality and quantity of food you get.

Visited Lamanna's today on a Friday at around 12:30pm, during the lunchtime rush. Wow very busy, but orders were being filled nice and fast. We pre ordered 4 lobster rolls and one of their famous Big Slice's with pepperoni. Amazing quality food, loved the lobster roll. Nice and crunchy/flaky crust and the cream filling inside isn't overly sweet and tasted amazing. The big slice, the quality of cheese that they use here is A++. Crust and dough used is very good. Love the novelty of the big cardboard box too! All in all, would definitely visit again!!

The place is very well decorated. When you walk in, there's the hot foods line on the left, and the desserts on the right, which is a smart way of breaking up the line system. They have a big slice you must order 24 hours ahead (you can order online). The pizza was really good. It's a great novelty to get people in, but even better because the food actually tastes nice as well

One of my favourite places to stop in. Their lasagna is stacked and hearty! It's size is perfect for the price. You can buy one order to share for two people (or eat the whole thing on your own like I did!). I have also tried the gelato here and it is delicious! The perfect dessert to have with your pizza slice or veal parm. Lamanna's also has these unreal "Big slices" of their pizza that you can get topped with donuts, cake, cookies, or just your regular pizza toppings! The perfect addition to celebrate parties or anniversaries with.

What does one say about this great bakery/Italian food place that hasn't been said before? Stopped in on the way home one day for some pastries. Oh my goodness what to pick? The lobster tails are to die for. Crispy on the outside with lovely smooth custard cream inside - just wonderful! We also picked up some eclairs and cannoli which were excellent. Next time we'll be trying out their gelato, and perhaps something on the hot food side. Their pizza and pasta looked great. Located at the junction of Kingston Rd., Highway two and the Foral one. It's in a strip mall and lots of parking.

I love this place for their pizza slices and their delicious desserts (yes the line-up is worth it) Their margherita pizza is my favourite slice. I have also tried their pesto slice (not a huge fan). My favourite sweet treat here is the almond croissant. I wish they were open either little earlier and stayed open little longer.

You want a Sweet and decadent Pizza Slice? This is the place for you. An absolute must see place for a person with a sweet tooth.. Also a crowd pleaser at parties.

By the time we arrived, we still had to wait a bit because they had just begun our order. I do like my food hot so I didn't mind, and they were really nice and apologized for the wait. I was a bit iffy about the cleanliness. I watched them switch from station to station, brush their hair or touch their face and then the food again. We had the meat lover calzone. It was very nicely stuffed and a great, light crispy breading. But it was really watery and wet so as we ate, there was a big puddle of water. I thought it would leak oil or something but it was just water. I think it might be from the tomato sauce. It wasn't the most appealing by the end. I also got the spaghetti meatball. I actually really liked the pasta and the simple basil tomato sauce. It hit the spot for me. But the meatballs were really bad. They were oddly cut in half and had a sour, off flavor. I think the meat had gone bad. I couldn't eat it and since we did take away, I couldn't really get it redone or tell the staff. Overall, I'm glad we gave it a try anyway. It was not the best food experience and probably won't get the same items again. The pizza does look good though so maybe we will try that next time we're around.
