Went in to get a fill in and pedicure. About 20 minutes into my pedicure an older white woman came in and didn't want to wait. The asian nail tech stopped doing my nails and asked me if I could come back because they were really busy. I told her that my money is green and spends just like the white woman's money and I refuse to give busy to anyone that did not value my money. She said ok and I left. In 2025 this kinda bs should not be acceptable. Not to mention there was 3 other white women that came in after me but I was the only black person and therefore I needed to come back after they serviced them white folks. Si the first time I went for a mani right before Christmas I wasn't impressed, the place is dirty and dusty and the mani was just ok. I thought I would give it another try. My usual salon and guy was out of the county and I needed a back up. I made an appointment for a mani and pedi. I was told to come at 6 pm, I felt that was weird since it said they closed at 7, however I thought maybe the lady was working late. I arrived. I was told they were busy, they took me back late, I was told the girl my apt was with was busy. so they tag teamed me. Got someone else for pedi and the girl dip the mani. The bowl was filled with cold water, they cut my skin numerous times in my feet. I have a red area a slight infection next to one toe. They did a terrible job on the mani, girl was in such a hurry with the dremmel like machine she had it on super high and cut chucks out of my nails. The mani itself is terrible. It wasn't even straight , had chunks out if it And cracks. Gel missing from the sides. The salon was even dirtier. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I would give a 0 if I could. I should not of paid anything. They were past closing and rushed me out. Despite them giving me that appointment time. My side of my toe still hurts and is red and inflamed. I'm on vacation I'm florida for 2 weeks and I wanted to get a new acrylic set. I came here knowing I would spend a lot of money because I was in florida. When I walked in I was kindly greeted and sat down with a woman. She had great conversation first of all. The technique on how she did the entire set was outstanding. I've been to many nail salons and have never not second guessed something the technician was doing. My pedicure was so relaxing and again this technician has great conversation when I wanted to talk. My first time trying this place, and it was actually by accident. I thought this was the salon my friend recommended. It was not. I gave it three stars because my nails look amazing. It is the first time I have even had dipped nails, and I am quite pleased with them. The negative part is my toes. I'm going on vacation and wanted my toes done beforehand. I will have to have them redone, as they are a mess. They look as though a child did them. I also felt like my pedicure was rushed, even though I upgraded from the stBdard one. I went here after reading reviews from others and had high expectations going into the salon. The cleanliness of the salon was impeccable and the friendliness of the owner was great. However, my dip manicure ($35) chipped within 4 days of having it without doing anything out of my daily routine. The woman doing my nails was quiet which is fine but the quality of the work is what the stars are regarding. Two of my nails were bubbled and not to mention the top coat to seal the nail chipped within an hour of leaving the salon, leaving me with a large and noticeable rough patch. While the prices are right and I am sure other experiences could have been different not the go to place for dip powder. read more

Im beyond thrilled with the my beautiful new nail set and Im pleased with the overall experience. I received great compliments right out of the door and even had a referral of mine already visit and experience it for themselves! This place has a very friendly, positive and welcoming atmosphere to it; the technicians went above and beyond to accommodate a personal special request. Lana and David work immaculately and with a fantastic drive and positive attitude. Lana cares to put her best efforts towards achieving the look I seek and btw she's got a very creative mind with fantastic suggestions/ideas for when Im just not sure what I want on my nails. Lana is just a sweetheart too. The nail tech I saw here destroyed my nails. I asked for round nails and they came out jagged and uneven. It looked like a 6 year old did my nails. I also got two cuts on my cuticles because the nail tech was definitely untrained or poorly trained. Will not be back and recommend you don't either. read more

I've been coming to Edin Nails for three years. Upon sitting down, I was told I looked like I just woke up. I continued service and let the comment go. After a bit, I apologized for looking so bad. I had a tough night and that her disparaging comment was rude. I continued to explain that a person wants to feel good about themselves when coming into a salon. I'm normally a push over, but decided I wasn't taking it today. She apologized with yet another negative response, and explained that I looked very tired. The owner was five feet away listening to the conversation and did nothing. So at this point I'm tearing up and ask her what she does when a 300 lbs. old tired person comes in? Does she tell them how tired they look or does she save those comments for me? Finally, David, the owner comes over to take the soaking bowl away and probably kick me out. He said I was over reacting and sided with his employee. I asked him, "How can you let your employee treat a customer like this?" I got up and walked out. The lady was laughing as I closed the door. Fortunately, 21st Nails(4.5 stars) across the street welcomed me into their salon and treated me with kindness. read more

In the area for the winter, found this little shop, couldn't be more pleased. Hard to find salons that do SNS, so when I saw that they offered it I decided to give them a try. Owner Mike was very friendly. Young man (Keven) that did my nails was very detailed and made sure to get them just the way I like them. I will definitely return while in the Sarasota area. After reading the reviews on Yelp I came here after work. I was on a business trip for work and this place was next to my hotel. The place was clean, only a short wait, and the customer service was great. I had the Deluxe Pedi and gell fill. Prices were great, I am from Atlanta so this was an amazing deal. UPDATE: This is not a scam. My husband and I were there in person and the "manager" who just commented was himself rude to us. My husband and I came here for (what we thought would be) a relaxing spa date. It ended up being the most uncomfortable, PAINFUL, and rushed pedicure I have ever experienced. I get pedicures about once a month, and have gotten one from here before, so I know what they are usually like. The tech doing my toes was rough and distracted. I had to say excuse me three times to get her attention and tell her she was hurting me. There was a piece of my nail lodged to the side of my skin and her response to that was "I'll check later" which never happened. There was not a single word in apology for hurting me. Her massages were so light, I could barely feel the hot stones or her fingers. The "manager" eventually took over without a single apology from either one of them. His first question to me was if I lived around here (I said yes) followed by if I was born and raised in the US. Umm how is that relevant or necessary? Also, would you ask that to any of the Caucasian ladies in the salon? No? Then you have no business asking me that. The lady doing my husband's pedicure mocked him when he sa the water was too hot with "don't you shower with hot water?" Again, not necessary or professional or accommodating. When I pointed out all this when we paid full price for our barely complete pedicures, he paused, sighed, and said "alright I'm sorry but we did the best we could." Came here for the first time last week for a full set. I walked in and the guy Nick was laying on the pedicure chair, didn't even say hi. First thing he said was pick out your color. Again, first time, and I wanted gel (thinking they would give me the color wheel) instead of regular polish. So I said well I want gel on my nails and then he gave me a snotty attitude and yelled "ok pick out your color!" Bad first impression. So I walk over to where the colors are, they're not organized by color or anything so I have to look for 10 minutes to find a color I want and they really don't have many to choose from. I like neutrals and they only have bright colors really. Diane did my nails, and I scheduled my appointment with her since I saw good reviews about her on here. Literally rushed through the whole thing, it took about 20 minutes when putting on a full set and making them look nice usually takes about 40min-1 hour. They started chipping a few days ago and now I will be going to another salon that's more personable and takes their time with details. read more
