I visited my parents this past weekend and needed a new Gel-X set. My parents are new to the area, however my mom had been to Glitz a couple of times and highly recommended it. I am SO glad I went. Obsessed with my nails! The salon I believe is new - and they did a fantastic job!!! It was beautiful/had relaxing vibes with an amazing aesthetic, super clean, and the nail stations were awesome (loved that the UV lights were located inside the bottom of the table you get your nails done on). The staff was friendly and welcoming. I got a new fresh Gel-X set with additional glass chrome (and had my old ratchet set removed lol) and SIENNA absolutely nailed it. She's incredibly skilled and detail-oriented, and my nails came out flawless--smooth, shiny, and exactly what I wanted. I will DEFINITELY be back once I return to Sarasota and hope to see Sienna again! 5 stars easy :) read more

I have been coming here for gel manicures and pedicures last few months and love it! Very clean salon and friendly people.

Just moved to the area. But my mom (who lives here) stumbled upon this cute boutique and nail salon. We decided to stop in for pedicures and overall had a good experience. The staff took their time and really paid attention to the details--we appreciated that they actually trimmed everything as requested (unlike some places that just go through the motions). They had a decent selection of colors to choose from, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The only downside was a lack of transparency with the pricing. My mom had a few designs from a previous pedicure that she said weren't actually gel, but the salon insisted on buffing them off. At checkout, we were surprised to see an extra charge for the removal--even though no one mentioned there would be a fee. Aside from that, if you're looking for a simple, well-done pedicure, this spot is worth checking out. Just make sure to ask about any extra charges upfront! read more

I will do this in categories, so bear with me. Ambiance: 5 -This place is beautiful. It really is. Bright, clean, pretty. All the wonderful things. Pedicure: 4 -Great polish job, as well as buffing the nails and cleaning up the cuticles. My toenails, on the other hand, were cut but not shaped. Corners were still sharp, which would snag on socks or blankets. That was a little disappointing. Manicure: 3 -This is a little tricky. The polish job, like my toes, was great. Cleaning up my cuticles, again like my toes, was very good. Unfortunately, like my toes, my nails were not shaped. They were left with sharp points that I needed to file down later, some that night, so I wasn't scratching anyone. Staff: 3 -Everyone was friendly. They were all polite and kind. My qualm is no one seemed to understand I have a broken nail that needs extra attention, poly gel, a tip, gel builder, or something, to help it not crack down into the nail bed. It grows out with a split so it needs more than just polish. At reception, I was told they can take care of damaged nails. While discussing with the nail tech, she tells me she will help it. The old poly gel was removed via drill then the nail was painted. I asked twice about adding support to the nail due to the issue. She said the nail was fine and didn't need anything extra. Both times I came in that nail split within two or three days. The second time, I called and told them the issue. The receptionist told me to come in and they would fix the nail. Their "fix" was to remove the polish, file the nail to not be as sharp or apparent in the damage, and repaint the nail. After again pointing out my concern of the nail before any work has been done, I was told the polish itself will be enough to hold the nail together. Ummm, no. That is not how it works. The tech finished "fixing" my nail and off I go to the counter. There I am told there is no charge for the visit. As I am getting into my car, the receptionist comes outside and stops me. She states she was looking at the wrong person/appointment, and I do in fact owe $5 for the repaint. Overall, the place is beautiful, staff are friendly, and there are loads of colors to choose from. For me, I will not be returning. Maybe if my nail doesn't grow as it does, or if it wasn't as bad as it is, it would not be an issue. Gorgeous facility! Love the attached boutique present too. Cool idea! I am grateful they stay open till 7, for those of us that work till 5 it's nice to be able to go after work. The tech did a great job but I wish she spoke English. I was trying to talk to her about how I wanted my nails and she didn't understand at all. As long as they last and don't break easily I plan to be back! read more

Wow--Gabi truly popped off! She was amazing! I'm from out of town and needed to get my nails done on short notice. I called just 10 minutes ahead, and they were able to take me right in. I had a specific design in mind and brought a reference photo with me. Gabi helped me choose the perfect colors to match the photo and then got to work. She was kind, gentle, and super efficient. Before starting the design, she made sure I was happy with the shape and length of my nails. The design itself was pretty detailed, and Gabi was so receptive to my feedback--she made adjustments until I was completely satisfied with every single nail. I've been getting my nails done for years, and I've never been this happy trying a new place for the first time. I honestly wish I lived in town, because I would go back to Gabi without hesitation.
