I stopped in for a polish change on my toes. The salon is very large, beautifully decorated, and has plenty of pedicure chairs and nail stations, which is convenient because they have a lot of employees and can accommodate many customers. Unfortunately, my experience raised serious concerns about sanitation. The gentleman performing my polish change pulled used toe spacers from a drawer and then took a used nail file from the same drawer. Neither item appeared to be sanitized before being used. I immediately told him that I did not want the toe spacers used on me because I felt it was unsanitary. Cleanliness and proper sanitation are extremely important in a nail salon, and this experience left me very uncomfortable. Because of this, I will not be returning to Blossom Nail Spa and would not recommend it to others who are concerned about hygiene and sanitation practices. read more

I went here with my mother and grandmother (I'm 14) and they both had great experiences. However, when I was in the chair for my nails, the service with Tan was terrible. He rushed me, my nails were crooked and misshaped then when we were done had the audacity to stand there in my grandmother's space begging for a tip and touching her phone. Again, my grandmother and mother had great experiences, but mine was not good. I also will add I barely spoke and only said "yes" "no" and the color I wanted so I do not believe it was my attitude. My wife has been coming to this location for at least 7 years. She absolutely loves it and gets incredible service. When I want a pedicure, this is my choice. It's incredibly clean at all times and very elegantly designed. I was a little surprised at some of the negative reviews if I'm being honest. After thinking it over though, some negative reviews make sense. This business is very large and therefore they are very strict on some topics. I see the structure as a positive. Been here twice now while visiting the area & each time they have not disappointed. A bit on the pricey side & they do charge their customers an extra fee in order to use a credit card, but other than that, I have really enjoyed getting a pedicure and dip nail mani here. It's spacious, clean, and they have tons of colors to choose from! Additionally, when they set you up with a pedicure, they bring a beautiful tray that includes an unopened sterile package of tools they use on you. Holly is good at dips manis. Tom was excellent!! He provided great service. I was greeted warmly and quickly by the front desk staff and was seated promptly. While I was really happy with the service I would say the spa really needs a deep cleaning. The flower decor was very dusty along with the shelving. read more

I want to love this place, but unfortunately my first experience doesn't have me rushing back. This location is my aunt's go-to spot for dip nails & she loves many of the nail techs here. My nail tech was pleasant, the location was super busy but still clean, and they were so accommodating. However, I'm pretty disappointed with the services I received and the quality of the manicure specifically. I got the ginger pedicure & while the spa treatment part was great, the nail tech left several cuts around the cuticles of my toe nails. When we moved on to my manicure, I did a basic one as I tend to change the color myself regularly and didn't want to deal with gels, acrylics, or dip removal. The treatment dried out my skin so much, the nail tech again left several cuts around my cuticles on my fingernails, and the overlaying shimmer polish was visibly not to the edges of the white base polish (pictured on thumbs with flash on and off). I don't live in the area, but when I come back down to visit my aunt I'm not sure I'll be urging her to go back her for mani/pedis again. read more

Implements very definitely not sanitized- they weren't even cleaned in between clients. There were visible white patches of dried out cuticles on the cuticle pusher that my guy was using. Horrible service not worth the $$. Seen two technicians now and they were both extremely rude!! Dirty place and overpriced. If you go on a Sunday they charge you more and clearly not inform you when booking the appointment! They will not accept tips on credit card, which is insane when most people don't even carry cash these days. So today which will be my last time going there my rude tech got no tip, it's your fault you don't take a tip on the credit card not mine ! Plus they add 3% when paying with credit cards. I have this place two tries. The first time my gel chipped off within a week and the second experience was today. The lady who did my nails name is Holly. She rushed through my pedicure because she said she had to hurry and leave. I purchased the spa pedicure. She spent less than 20 minutes taking the old gel off of my toes and did a "quick" pedi. This was supposed to include a nice scrub and oil massage - which it did but very fast. I had to ask her to make sure to get my heels which she didn't seem happy about. During my pedi which was supposed to be a time of relaxing for me a man came over and started taking off my old nail polish off of my fingers. I felt like I was in a tornado because they were rushing so fast. I spent almost $100 for this Mani and Pedi and was there a short time and felt like I was rushed out the door. I was not relaxed at all. On top of it while the man was taking off my nail polish the woman painted my toe nails but I couldn't see what she was doing. She used the wrong color. She used red and I picked out a nice pink color. Red clashes my watch and I wouldn't ever pick red for casual wear. When I told her it was the wrong color she said it was the color I picked - I didn't have the energy to argue with her. Also the woman at the front desk was not sociable. She was rude. Come to find out the closed at 5pm because it's Sunday, but I didn't know this. They must of squeezed me in and they were not happy I showed up that close to closing is what I'm guessing. The building is beautiful but they need to work on customer service and manners. Upon leaving I felt pressured for a tip. They wanted a cash tip which I only had $3 on me. They tried to get me to use an ATM within the salon but I felt it was sort of scammish. They charge an extra amount to use the ATM. Besides, the service I received didn't actually deserve a tip... Service of mani/pedi was fine but $5 extra for each because it is Sunday is a ridiculous policy. 3% fee to pay with credit card (i tip with cash and generously) is also bad policy. Ripoff at $72 for a basic service which is typically $60. Additionally, I was very specific I wanted a basic service. Before starting tech said $80 as she was trying to upsell to spa mani/pedi, glad I was questioning prices but a very uncomfortable experience. THINK TWICE before booking an appointment here or walking in. BLOSSOM NAILS @ UTC would get a no star if I could. Tam the nail tech is unstable, rude, and does not provide a decent service I made an appointment for today 5-26 @ 1pm. When I got there, the place was chaotic but there were not many customers. I went to the front desk and said my name and that I had made an appointment. The receptionist looked confused. I started to ask a few questions about services and then was pulled by a nail tech who told me "come with me and sit down." I sat down and told her I wanted my nails the same way they are now. My service was tips with dip. She said ok and began to tell me that she will be doing my pedicure and my dip and that since it was SUNDAY, there will be $5 added to each service. That made no sense to me but, I do not mind paying any amount of money if the provide a good services. She started to do my nails and became irritated when I told her that my nails were not even and looked different on each hand. She had done the French with pink and white. She started to buff them VIGOROUSLY. I pulled my hand away and said "please don't be mad, but if you look at my nails, they do not look right." She said "I am not mad, you are too picky and when we are done, SOMEONE ELSE CAN DO YOUR PEDI." I let her know at that point I would not be getting a pedicure. She proceeded to try and fix the right hand by dipping the right hand fingers into pink powder to even it out. When she was done with the right hand, it looked ok and I asked her if she would please do the other hand so they matched. She refused and told me to go wash my hands WITHOUS SOAP so I did. I came back and she put clear top coat on my nails and did not use the gel as I requested with the dryer for the ultimate shine. I asked her why and she stated "This is how I do it." She proceeded to tell me that she is nervous because her son's Ex-girlfriend has hired someone to kill him and that I have added to her troubles by complaining about my nails. I proceeded to pay her $70 for the services and did not leave a tip. I told her best of luck with her son and I left. After I left, I called and asked to speak to the owner or the manager. The receptionist told me neither were available. I shared my concerns with her and gave her the name of the tech and she said "Thanks for letting us know." and HUNG UP ON ME. I drove to Best Nails on Cattleman and Bee Ridge and paid to have them fixed and now I am happy. Almost $200 for one service. Stylist: Tam and she is awful..... read more

I always had a great experience with Tom he does really good nail work. I called at 2:45 to make an appointment they said 4:30 he is available. I went to run errands not close to nail salon and they called me at 3:30 Tom said come now he is free. I wasn't able to just get there NOW, I explained I will work on getting there as soon as possible. I arrived at 4:15, Tom was super mad at me. so obvious....he wouldn't greet me, wouldn't talk to me, was sooo rude when I asked about a color...made me feel so uncomfortable. Front desk and Tom need to work throigh this, I am a paying client I should not be treating this way when I was technically 15 mins EARLY to my appointment.
