I was lucky to have the cafe to myself at the 3:30pm time slot and it was brilliant with all the dogs so cute and cuddly. I don't think this is a place for young kids or very active children though because I felt like too much movement and noise would scare and unsettle the dogs, it felt like the sort of place where you have to be calm and not move around too much, it's the sort of place where you go in, find your seat and get settled there and wait for the dogs to come to you and they will, quite quickly too. It was lovely having them snuggled up beside me, sleeping on my lap, I had the best time. I noticed two dogs wearing bow ties and I found out that this means the dogs are shy and to wait for them to approach you but I think that's the same for all the dogs. Duchess was one of the shy dogs but probably my favourite, she was so beautiful and although she kept her distance for a while, she did eventually jump up beside me and let me pet her head, that was so lovely. Staff are friendly too and answer any questions you might have and will take pictures for you with the dogs. The only criticism I will say was at the end when my time was up. I didn't realise my time was up, until the woman opened a door and all dogs bolted inside and told me my time was up and I was ushered out quite quickly, which I really didn't appreciate.
I think a better way would be to let people know they had 5 or 10 mins left to enjoy the dogs because I felt like they had just been ripped away from me and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. But apart from that, an excellent experience and I would highly recommend. read more
