The level of caring with Edmonds, Husz and Pemberton Eye Center is beyond the best you can ask of Optometrists. Twice I have had eye issues and as busy as they are, they have given the best treatment possible and both times squeezed me between scheduled patients. This team certainly goes above and beyond in being thorough and caring in treating their patients. My regular scheduled visits have been the exact prescription needed for my eyes. I've been to Costco and Alvernon Optical but have never seen the thoroughness or quality of care anywhere that matches Edmonds, Husz & Pemberton. The staff were knowledgeable and professional yet appropriately personable and humorous. I've never seen so much high end diagnostic equipment in one place and have never seen my son evaluated to such an extent. They took the time to do it completely and correctly. Dr. Burnett came highly recommended from my previous optometrist for some speciality contact lenses. Dr. Burnett is incredible and really took his time with me due to some issues I was having with my contact lenses. He is intelligent and caring with his patients, highly recommend! I've been with this group for many years. When Dr. Edmonds retired, I was seen by Dr. Burnett. He is equally attuned to detail in the same manner as Dr. Edmonds, who was the best optometrist I have ever seen. I am so glad to continue to be in good hands with Dr. Burnett. My wife and I have been disappointed with our last two eye exams with other local optical providers. These folks were recommended to me after I had minor eye surgery. I live west of downtown and make the trek across town to this optometry practice because they're great! It's been at least six years and I'm still a happy patient. For the majority of the time I've seen Dr. Pemberton but switched to Dr. Burnett a couple years ago when Pemberton wasn't available. I'm happy with both. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming and customer service oriented. Gabi at the front desk is so sweet and patient always- whether over the phone or in person. They're always a step ahead of me and have my insurance information pulled up and are happy to price things out for me and address all my questions one. With my poor eye sight, astigmatism and issues with dry eye- I feel like my vision needs are very well taken care of. My only feedback is I'd love to see more options in terms of style and brands for eye glass frames in the retail area. Dr Burnett was the only eye doctor that could fit me with contacts because I had RK a long time ago. All the other optometrists told me I wasn't a good candidate. Dr Burnett worked extremely hard to find the right contacts and made sure they fit and were comfortable. They specialize in patients that are difficult to fit contact lenses. read more

I literally came in off the street, without an appointment, and without insurance. I had something in my eye that scratched my cornea, and no one blinked an eye when I said that I needed to know how much it would be to see a doctor to make sure whatever was in my eye was gone. I filled out minimal paperwork and saw a doctor within 10 minutes. 20 minutes later I was out the door. He looked at my eye, was very patient and caring despite the fact that I was fidgety and difficult whenever anything came near my eye (I don't wear contacts and I don't need glasses so this was a new experience for me.) . He looked at my eye, administered several drops including antibiotic, and soothed my woes. It was possibly the BEST experience in a doctor's office I have EVER had. Thank you so much! read more

I have been coming to this office for many years. I was a patient of Dr Edmonds until he retired. I was sad when I heard the news. But when I saw Dr Barnett, who replaced Dr Edmonds, I was ecstatic! He listens and thinks outside the box when coming up with a solution for a past lasix patient who wants to wear contacts again...not an easy feat! Absolutely bet eye doctors I have had. I have been a patient for a couple years. Does a whole battery of diagnostics. Dr. Edmonds is a an experienced optometrist who knows his field. Prescribed the right contacts for my condition and him and his staff always provide great service. Gotta be one of the best Optometrists in the state. read more

Unfortunately, Dr. Edmonds is retiring in May and I do not know what I will do without him. I have multiple eye problems including corneal transplants in both eye, macular holes, cataracts removed and many surgical procedures. I have no central vision in my left eye so very protective of the right. I need a hard contact lens to correct for the transplant in my right. Dr Edmonds has been so patient and thorough finding the right solutions to my vision problems. HE IS THE BEST! And I will miss him and his care very much. read more
