The green hulk and tango rolls were my favorite, but our party also really enjoyed the shrimp dynamite roll, red mountain, and Edoko tower. The ebi robata was not my favorite, the shrimp has quite a kick in the throat. The chicken thigh robata was really good. Excellent flavor. Salmon belly was nice and fresh too. We came to celebrate a birthday and they were kind enough to put her sushi in a sushi boat. Service was excellent, our waitress was fantastic. Bf and I wandered in for a date night after a night market in the area. We're regulars at places like this near Frisco, so I'd say we have a pretty good grasp on the food we got. I'd like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I've ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I'm used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn't what I expected and wasn't to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. You can tell they put thought into how everything looks when it comes out -- always a plus when the food is as pretty as it is good! The only downside was that at one point we waited over 30 minutes for part of our order, which felt a bit long. That said, our server was very friendly and attentive, and parking was super easy, which made the overall experience stress-free. A friend took me to dinner for my birthday 6/23/26 6:05 PM. My choice of restaurants as I had eaten here many times over the last few years and it was always very good. Wow, what a drastic change in food quality. Started with a French Kiss roll off the HH menu, smoked salmon and Tamago off the sushi menu and grilled shishito peppers for appetizers, along with a chopstick margarita and house wine. The French Kiss roll and shishito peppers were good, the smoked salmon was inedible and the Tamago was nasty and made poorly, very dry and stale tasting. Obviously no one tasted the Tamago after making it. Low level chef skills going on last night. I also don't know how any decent sushi chef would serve a cut of salmon with a thick, tough, tendon like strip running thru it. Worse than that, it was warm and mushy. Inedible and I let the waiter know. He didn't offer to replace it. But in his defense he was seated heavily. Split the grilled sea bass entree and a Mori Mori roll with a soy wrapper. Roll was decent but the sea bass was disgustingly raw and mushy. No evidence of being grilled. It was a tiny portion and the waiter warned us it would be but we were getting full and wanted something grilled. Obviously we like raw fish but it was to be a grilled entree. Absolutely gross and we didn't eat it. The waiter didn't say anything when told him to clear the plate because the fish was nasty. The waiter did bring a scoop of ice cream for my birthday and jokingly asked if it was better than the bad, inedible fish. We told him it was the best part of the meal and we knew it wasn't his fault. The waiter was friendly and efficient. The dining area was trendy and clean, nice ambiance. I was embarrassed to have recommended this restaurant and won't be doing so in the future. With the terrible flaws in the quality of the fish and the inept cooking skills I won't be returning and do not recommend. The place looked really busy, but staff members were able to accommodate in a spillover room towards the back of the restaurant, which was a nice intimate space. Overall customer service was great. The rolls came out quickly, and our server was friendly, attentive, and patient. We had a massive order, and the server got everything right. We ordered the salmon tartare and several rolls to share. Don't remember any of the names, but they were all delicious in their own ways. Something that I found quite unique to some of the rolls was their bright green sauce. Not something I would ordinarily see on a roll, but it made for a fun pop of color. I would definitely be back to try other things. read more

My first time eating at this establishment yet I have driven by countless times! With a party of 8, they were able to accommodate us, with reservations. The table is very long, and the noise level is medium, so it was hard to talk to people at the other end of the table. Next time maybe we can reserve a more semi private table! The food was amazing. First time here! I think their rolls are really good, but the yakiniku steak (not robata) was not really worth it. We arrived at 5-6 p.m. and it wasn't too crowded. This was during their Happy Hour, so they had some discounted rolls, drinks, etc. We got their French Kiss roll which was part of their happy hour, lobster dynamite roll, yakiniku steak, and the lychee drink. Both rolls were really good, the French Kiss was fresh, cold, and the spiciness added a nice kick. This was a riceless roll, so instead it was filled with crab. Highly recommend this roll, especially for $10.50!! The lobster dynamite roll was also pretty good, creamy, but not the best dynamite I have had. The smelt unagi sauce wasn't present, so I felt it lacked a bit of flavor but it was still really good. Now the yakiniku steak. It came with charred brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, and deep fried shredded yams. These were all delicious! But.... the steak lacked any sort of flavor. It was a little overdone, medium well, but had no seasoning. There was no sweet Japanese sauce and no charred flavor. I would give the sides a 5/5 and the steak a 3/5 for comparison. The lychee drink was sweet and extremely lychee flavored. It was a bit strong for my taste, but I am a super light weight. Service was amazing, our waitress was kind and attentive. She brought whatever we needed and was very friendly! The interior decor is very modern and chic, and very clean. It has crab meat, shrimp tempura, tuna, and avocado with 4 house sauces. Very light and tasted good! Overall, the food is great quality and has great presentation. Of course they wanted our business so after approximately a 45 minute wait we were seated. Not bad since this was totally our fault! The food was a different story! Most was ok to blah. We started with Spicy Edamame $6. Small bowl with one waste bowl for pods. Those are pretty good! Our waiter was terrible. He never returned to ask if we needed additional items. Ponzu sauce, water refills, forks & knives, chopsticks, etc. Be aware that the prices on the website are incorrect. Add additional money to each plate. $2-$3 dollars per plate to be exact. Website needs an update on prices. We ordered calamari for the table. Be aware It is 3 pieces. (We even asked if this was enough for our table). He never suggested we order more. Did I say our waiter was terrible!?? With ONE bowl of sauce for dipping. Their are nine of us. This includes Mixed Tempura vegetables ($7) we ordered. ONE bowl of dipping sauce (ponzu sauce) for nine folks. Come on, really? A knife for cutting would have been nice but, the waiter never returned! Did I say our waiter was terrible? Extra bowls or plates would have been nice. Basic items are a must when eating out. I had the Yakisoba shrimp $18. Nothing but a bowl of spaghetti noodles, 6 small shrimp, and this horrible, horrible disgusting sweet brown sauce. My food was DROWNED in this crap. Yuck! Don't order this. It's overly sweet. The Yakisoba chicken was just as bad. Overly sweet. The Mori Mori roll was blah at $17. The Anaconda Roll was good $16. The French Rainbow roll was blah at $17. Don't order anything with cream cheese. That's ALL you will find in your rolls. The prices are nuts here for the price vs service vs goodness. Will I return? Absolutely not! Too many other Restaurants to eat at that offer the same with better food and service! FYI there is a sushi place directly across the street from this place. So many other places to eat at. Stopped by for a quick no frills lunch with coworkers. We were seated immediately and glasses of water were brought to the table promptly. Pretty solid lunch menu with plenty of options.
