Parking: Free parking offered. Interior: Clean but a bit tight inside and difficult to move around. Seating was a bit cramped. Had to play a bit of Tetris when the food came out since the table at the bar didn't really have much space. Service: Can be a bit slow and unorganized when it's busy. My wife and I were seated at the bar for about 10 minutes with no service. A couple was then seated next to us. But for some reason, they were provided service first, even though they came after us. Food: No complaints about the food! Ordered a variety of items - check out the pics for reference! Although I kinda wish the Engawa Sushi was seared to give it that melt-in-your-mouth texture. Drinks: Beer paired well with the food! Overall: Definitely worth checking out! Be aware that there might be considerable wait times when it's busy.

Today I was denied service because I was told my attire did not meet the restaurant's dress code. I was wearing a coordinated Lululemon athleisure outfit, which I consider to be neat and appropriate for a restaurant whose website states, "Nice casual preferred." The wording indicates a preference rather than a strict requirement. My family has been dining at this restaurant for years, and I have worn similar outfits on many occasions without issue--including this exact outfit during a visit just last week. The inconsistent enforcement of the dress code was both confusing and disappointing. As a longtime customer, I expected a more consistent and welcoming experience. Unfortunately, this interaction has left a very negative impression, and I can no longer recommend this restaurant to others.

I came here for date night and sat at the sushi bar. I felt like I was transported to Asia. We were immediately greeted with a welcoming server and warm towels for our hands. From then on service was excellent and memorable. We started with seafood salad, gyoza, boiled firefly squid, then had salmon and octopus nagiri, then rainbow roll and tuna roll. I finished with a black sesame cheesecake. My boyfriend enjoyed his sake sampler. Everything was perfection, so fresh and flavorful. We will definately be back!

The sushi tastes very fresh and is well presented! The inside is decorated winter-like which was cool to see. This place would be perfect for a date. The service is excellent as well, we got hand towels in the beginning and the waiter checked in with us often. Appetizer: - The beef tataki is really good, I would recommend this! It comes with a ponzu sauce and the beef slices are perfect. Sushi: - chirashi ju - sushi and sashimi combination - salmon sushi 4pc These two dishes were very filling for 4 people. The sushi is fresh and everything was tasty. They give you a little bit of everything of each fish. The salmon sushi did have wasabi under it already too.

Love the atmosphere and service. Food was delicious and authentic. Loved how fresh the fish was. Highly recommend!

The best sushi in dallas! Always fresh and filling and the flavors are amazing. The service is a little slow - took us 45 minutes to get our food. Other than that, the ambiance is subtle and the food is worth the wait!

I haven't done a review in a while. This review is initiated due to the experience that is sushi saki. Sushi Saki was definitely not expected. We chose to have sushi our last day in town and due to the proximity to our hotel it was the choice. We got off work and came here not exactly expecting this class of restaurant. Decorations and layout is class. Wait staff are friendly and very discreet and accommodating.

Sushi Sake will not seat you until your whole party is present!

The hype about Sushi Sake -- 100% true. This place is the spot, and when they open at 5:30 PM, it fills up fast!! Right outside the door, there's a stand with a QR code--scan it immediately to get on the waitlist. Trust me, the wait can be at least an hour and a half. Also keep in mind, when every table fills up at once, that means a flood of orders hitting the kitchen all at the same time. We were lucky enough to be seated right at 5:30 PM, but our food didn't arrive until 6:40 PM. No worries, though--we made excellent use of the time drinking three large sakés. (Highly recommend.) Watching six sushi chefs work their magic with precision and speed--it was amazing. And when our sushi finally arrived, it was worth the wait. The portions? Generous. The rolls? Huge. The flavor? Absolutely delicious! So, if you're planning a trip to Sushi Sake, bring patience, an appetite, and maybe a designated driver if you go the saké route. TIP: they offer a lovely BIRTHDAY desert, fried ice cream with a candle. Sweet! TIP: the parking lot is tiny. I don't know where's the extra parking is located. I only saw one handicap parking spot.

Wow is an understatement when it comes to Sushi Sake. The all around mood when you walk in makes you feel so comfortable and this place is beautiful on the inside. If you decide to go on the weekend, make a reservation but make sure you aren't late. They will skip your party reservation if everyone is not all there, we saw it happen to a party in front of us. As far as the food, we ordered the sashimi mix for a starter and OH MY, that was so fresh and decadent. I could've had three orders. We also had a miso soup with our entree, it comes without a spoon because traditionally you sip from the bowl. The house salad had a ginger sauce that was different but it went so well on the salad. I tore it up. We also ordered a dragon roll and being able to watch the sushi master put that together was pretty cool. Soft shell tempura crab with the eel sauce is my favorite. I love some eel, so of course I ordered the eel filet with rice. AB-SOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! There's so many options for a small group or a large group. Perfect date night idea. I can't wait to go back.

The main sushi chef Sodasan was not in today :( so expected to be disappointed. Our sashimi still wasn't cut in the same calibre, but the sushi rice was tempered really well. And shoutout to our server Lori L for the excellent service and attention to detail.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants in Dallas! This restaurant has been here for YEARS but their quality remains top-tier. Going on a weekend, I recommend getting there when they open since there would be a long wait but on the weekdays, they seat you very quickly. When you get there, the ambiance is very calming and it feels like you got transported to Japan. The lighting and music reminded me of Kyoto. They also give you warm hand towels when you sit down at your table and offer you the menu. They have an extensive menu from ramen, udon, to sushi. Their sushi is very fresh and we also enjoy ordering from their seasonal menu! We ordered the Sushi Sampler B and Una Ju and we highly recommend both. You can't go wrong ordering anything from their menu.

Arrived on a Friday night without reservations and was seated with less than an hour wait. Sitting at the sushi bar id always a great experience. The warm sake was delicious and smooth. The spider roll had fresh and flavorful avocado. My favorites where the different cuts of tuna sushi. It was all very fresh.

Ask the Community - Sushi Sake

    Is this location kid friendly?

    Yes it is.

Going tonight for my first time! - as a birthday dinner. What is the omakase like? and how is it priced?

They don't have a formal omakase dinner but instead preset sushi combinations that are broken down on the online menu. Prices range from $12-$30 and serves about 2 ppl…

Do they have Onigiri: the rice ball?

No. But some other places that have it are Sushi Robata, Ken Bistro, and possibly INO.

Is this an all you can eat sushi place or do you have to pay per plate?

Pay per item. Worth every penny.

However, the past two times we shared this place with another couple who loves sushi just as much as my husband and I do. One reason we kept coming back, aside from all the delicious food, was how they labeled their menu with the top food allergens. As a food allergy mom, I appreciated this so much! Especially when I was still breastfeeding, I had to eliminate all of my daughter's allergies to breastfeed safely. The main ones I had to look out for was gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame seeds. The safe was aware of my limitations and shared empathy, not annoyance like other places. T Thankfully I'm out of that stage so I can eat anything on the menu now. We would like to take our daughter here some day, she loves sushi a lot! But being only 5 years old, we'll need to save it for a special occasion. We get carried away when we come here. The food here is top notch and worth every penny, so we'll have to save up. Cooked dishes we always order: Brussel sprouts, steamed mushrooms, hamachi collar and miso cod. All the nigiri/sushi is fresh and you can't ignore the specials or seasonal menu!

Having lived in Hawaii, we ate sushi, sashimi, and poke on a regular basis. Finding spots like this allows us to create new memories while also feeling a bit nostalgic for the flavors we love. We might have gone a little overboard, but everything was incredible! We ordered the Crunchy Eel Roll, Hamachi Nigiri, and Tuna Nigiri, along with two of the EBESU Course menus. My husband had the Chirashi Don and I went with the Toro Tekka Don. Love, love, love. As you can see, it was a lot of food, but every single piece was cooked and cut to perfection. The dishes are very easy to share, and I think next time we'll lean into that more so we can sample even more of the menu. If you are looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese food, this is the place to go!

I'd like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I've ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I'm used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn't what I expected and wasn't to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.
