I've been visiting Moxie when I've been in town for a couple years now, but their new location is…read moreabsolutely excellent. The displays are eye-catching, there's a ton of room for browsing, and their board game selection is superb. Walked in expecting to browse a bit and leave and I left with three games lol. It's super clean, brightly lit, there's music playing, and the staff member who helped me today (I'm kicking myself for not getting their name, they had long-hair?) was really conversational and helpful. And perhaps most importantly, they're being extremely responsible with COVID, with staff members wearing masks and declining to hold in-person events to ensure the safety of their customers. I really appreciate businesses that take a stand like this even if it means a hit to their profits, so I wholeheartedly recommend visiting and grabbing some gaming supplies next time you need them. We need to ensure that responsible game stores like Moxie succeed in these rough times because they're the places that build community and give us spaces to enjoy our hobby when pandemics aren't raging lol. Their selection is low for what some people might think of as a general game store. Many games are simply not offered. What is there tends to be older and not particularly well priced. Positive reviews appear to be mostly from when they had different management. Thankfully, there appears to be new competition in town.

Shelves that used to have no room for another box of mini's now only hold a few boxes of a random selection. Glass cases that held thousands of cards now only a single layer of 10-20 cards displayed. A shop that used to be Visions Cards and Games, now known as "Blurred Vision with Cards and Lames." I don't make that up someone standing outside the store did. Some people say there was the in-people, like and inner circle with the owners, yeah there was, it felt good to be liked by the owners but it was because I was really into MTG and not Vanguard, Yugioh, Pokémon, or Warhammer. They used to have so much!
