Won't be back :( We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday on our way from Oregon to Idaho. We had been driving for 4 hours with three toddlers and needed some sustenance. I chose Ed's due to the positive yelp reviews. Unfortunately, we waited 45 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. We literally sat and watched other tables sit, order, eat, and leave before receiving our food. There seemed to be only one server, one cook, and one dishwasher. The long wait wasn't even acknowledged by the waitress. Our kids were obviously restless and hungry. Pretty lousy service and the food was just ok. read more

What a great diner! The service was awesome and the waitress was very friendly. The food was good too! There are some slot machines in the back by the bathrooms. The woman's restroom was very clean which was much appreciated after being on the road for several hours. I would stop again if I were in the area. read more

We stopped to get fuel at the Sinclair Station and found there was a sit down restaurant so we found a place to park (lots of room for RVs to park) and went in. We were greeted, given menus and our drink order was taken. We decided on Fish and Chips (comes with fries or tater tots) and Potato Soup. The food came out and was brought right away. The food was hot out of the fryer. No sitting under heat lamps here! The fish was good but not hand breaded. The fish, fries and tater tots appear to be from frozen and they cook on site. They are good but not like fresh made. The soup was potato and had lots of potatoes and bacon. It was good even though I don't care for that much bacon in my potato soup. It's not 5 star dining nor is it intended but the food is hot, tasty, and service is excellent. It makes a great place to stretch and grab a bite. I would definitely stop again. read more

Food was good and fast. Servers were friendly. It's a truck stop diner so funny expect fine dining. Looked like lots of locals eat here which is always a good sign. We'll definitely stop again when we're passing through and filling the gas tank. read more

So far I've been here for 5 minutes. The place was busy. The server greeted me and told me it would be a minute. She was very nice. I asked about the menu and she helped me figure out what I wanted. The burgers here are non frozen 100% beef burgers. Can't wait for it to come out. It was amazing. Cook very well. I'm definitely coming back in the future. read more

**Alert**Directions are incorrect! Ed's is attached to Sinclair gas station on Highway 20 Hines. Food was delicious! I ordered a veggie omelette. Fresh vegetables and quality Swiss cheese. My husband ordered the Top sirloin steak and eggs. It was cooked just the way he likes it! Service was excellent! My coffee cup was kept full which I love!. We care more about service and quality of food than we do about our surroundings. This is a local eatery with a "home town" feel. I would come back if this place was in my town. read more

Nice little whole in the wall spot inside the truck stop which is perfect if you are traveling west to Eugene Oregon. There is lots of wide open parking, the food is amazing, and the people are super friendly. Will defiantly be adding this to my must stop places on the route. read more

I only gave this 4 stars because I think 5 would make you think I was a friend of the owner. Not so! I am a regular traveler to Burns and have always had a hard time finding a good place to eat. A local suggested this truck stop and said it was pretty darn good. They were not kidding! From the outside it sure doesn't look like much, but my partner and I were very impressed with food and service. In fact, we noticed it was not on Yelp, so I set it up in Yelp as a new place. We both had burgers and they were really good, fresh not frozen, and half pounders! People at the next table had crispy chicken salads that were HUGE, and looked really good as well. Now I wish I would have tried the steak taco special. Try this out, there isn't much else in Burns to recommend. Trust me, I have been to all of them! read more

It's a diner attached to a truck stop. Biscuits and gravy, hash browns, pancakes, coffee, hot chocolate for kids and of course Chicken Fried Steak. Not fancy, but clean. Friendly service. Reasonably priced too. The espresso stand recommended it and we're glad they did. Bacon is exceptional! read more

we're traveling with my husband from FL and all the way until this restaurant i had junk food. can't say that on food but really... truck stops charging super crazy money for their super dry and overpriced food. so i was complaining and complaining about all the food. but i had no food today at all since morning and it's almost 4pm, i was hungry but didn't want to get all the same again. we are going to Bend OR and my husband said that theres no food at all on this road but while driving we wanted to use the restroom and stopped here. and im already grabbing a burrito from the fridge but then someone opens the door and i saw restaurant in there. so to be quick the best burger and fish and chips we had. the burger was only 13$ with fries but i was worth 20$ for how good it was.... definitely stopping again. thanks for quick service too. def recommend and u will want to go back. read more

I've been traveling this long road for about 6 months and nearly every time I come through I stop here for bacon. I love this little place and would be so happy to give it 5 stars because the food is great and the people here are even better BUT unfortunately they often only have one server which during peak times makes the server/busser/dishwasher get behind. I've watched these girls run themselves ragged doing 3 jobs and yet they always have a smile. Hire some more people! read more

Holy Cow.. Delicious food! We were looking for a quick lunch. The lady that owns the antique store said most places in town are good. The truck stop is very good. We needed gas so we gave Ed's a try. We're all foodies so we know a good meal when it comes along. We we're all very happy it's our meals. I had what might be the best French Dip ever. Something about the way the bread was toasted and the Au Jus wasn't too salty. My companions had the Care Bear Chili Burger, a regular burger and a chicken sandwich. Good food at a fair price. Great hole in the wall. Service was spot on and not over the top. Hash browns were perfect.

To start with when we came in it took ten minutes for a waitress to get us a menu. We were starting to think it was a self serve. That aside the place had more flies than a dump. Flies on the window near our booth, on our table- on us. If we hadn't been starved we would have left but there are no options for food in this town and the reviews were good. If you can get past the thicket of flies, the bad customer service and somehow enjoy your food you will find it over priced, bland and not worth the effort to fight the flies off to eat. Will not go there again. Next time we will starve until we reach a real town and a real place to eat ie Bend. read more

Well pretty disappointed had the chicken fried steak breakfast. Menu says grilled. I guess mine fell in the deep fryer that has not had new oil for awhile and I guess the cook decided to try and hide the flavor with there packaged homemade gravy. Lol. Usually a very good place to eat but today I just ordered French toast. When it was delivered along with a huge bottle of cold syrup. The waitress never came back to check on me or my food. If you come through Hines, you want to stop here for food. The food is excellent and so is the service. I've been told I'm a bit of a food snob and this place made me soooo happy. I can't speak for the other people that work here, but Kaytlin is the sweetest waitress ever. She was very friendly and gave some excellent travel tips to my bestie and I which we will surely use as we aren't from these parts. Nick was our chef and he really puts his heart into the meal. I was passing through town on business and stopped to have dinner. This place is exactly what I imagined a truck stop diner would be like. I got the chicken strips, which were well seasoned and delicious. One of my companions ordered the soup of the day and it was homemade and flavorful.
