We were just passing through the area and took a chance on this spot, and boy are we glad we did! Everything was fresh, homemade, flavorful, and prepped with care. The buns, barbecue sauce, house dressing and basically everything on the plate, were homemade. I was unsure about which sides to get because it can be easy to miss the mark, but the beans, coleslaw and house salad were all delicious. The restaurant was clean, service was friendly and quick. We had four kids and everyone devoured their meal, while the teenager went back and bought a second tri-tip wrap to go because he loved it so much! We finished with some cookies and rice krispie treats (the snickerdoodle was my personal favorite). We will definitely be making this a regular stop on all our trips to Oregon! read more

Star three is for kindness. That's because this is a first world urban review. Food, all a little too sweet. More than one style of bbq sauce, one without sugar and with some heat would have been nice. Baked beans, coleslaw sweet-too sweet. Quality of meat not high (tri-tip was my choice) tasteless without sauce. Service, everything came in expensive hard plastic boxes - even for eat in. I didn't see any effort to put out recycling bins, for two people we threw out one large plastic clamshell which had only held my 4oz of meat in it, and four smaller plastic containers. Why not put my sides in the large clam shell? It felt so wasteful. read more

While traveling on a lovely day to Bend, we came upon this delightful gem! I had the pulled pork plate and hubby had the chicken plate with salad and cheesy potatoes. We both had peach lemonade as well. And can I just say absolutely yummy! I knew this place was legit the moment I drove up, everything is made by hand from what I can tell. Their bbq sauce was the best I've ever had and of course the tritip was very tender. Junipers was a breath of fresh air compared to the wannabe pop up bbq places that try to be open 12 hours a day 7 days a week. The crazy part is THE PRICING WAS AMAZING. Wow! What a great find in Burns. We were happy to have them open on the 4th of July so we had BBQ on the holiday! Yummy pulled pork, steak tri tip and chicken. I chose the tri tip salad with a delicious raspberry vinaigrette dressing, and my sister chose the grilled chicken salad with the homemade ranch. Both meats were tender and juicy -- quite flavorful. Their sauces and dressings are available for purchase to take home. You can sit outdoors or under the the big white tent. The place was busy the entire time we were here. Obviously a favorite of the locals. My brother-in-law is a snickerdoodle connoisseur. He shared one with us. I liked the flavor and chewiness. He said he prefers his a little more moist. THEE BEST tri-tip I've ever had. Their baked beans had ground beef in it and tasted like my Mama's! Never had potato-grits (what I called heir cheese potatoes) but it was good too. The dinner roll came win butter and homemade raspberry jam, and be salad had candied walnuts in it. And they had sweet tea! Got a homemade raspberry danish for dessert and rolled to my car after. This is a can't miss in Burns right off the main road. Tender and tasty brisket! Chicken and pork and bbq sauce great too. An unexpected find for us driving through during the lunch hour.
