The Friday night wine tasting is a perfect way to begin your date night! If you purchase a bottle of wine they deduct the amount spent on the wine tasting ticket from the price of your wine, even though we purchased bottles that were not part of the sampled wines. The staff members and owners are so friendly and always available to help. You can give them a type of wine you like and a price range and they will list off 3-5 top picks. Very impressive! We also purchased a nice sampler of fancy chocolates as a gift for my friend! Who doesn't enjoy a wine and chocolate gift!! Perfect for those friends who are hard to buy for! There are also restaurants walking distance from this store where you can bring your wine for a small corking fee and enjoy a nice meal! Add this to your date night list to mix things up! read more

We have been going to Ed's Fine Wine for several years. Ed and Perry, as well as their whole staff, are very helpful in terms of helping you choose a wine. I have been surprised many times when I came in, expecting to pay a certain price for a particular type of wine, and they would direct me to a wine that cost less money than what I had originally thought. I did not expect this of a wine shop. The Friday night Tastings are fun to be at and over time you meet many nice people who also attend these frequently. Great locally owned wine shop with a huge selection and all the employees are helpful with picking out what is best for your pallet. As someone who knows little about wine, this is my go to spot to be helped and educated. And I see the seasoned wine veterans in here shopping too so I know I'm in the right place! Need a little wine for that whine? Ed's has what you need... A whole store full of it, too! I walked in to take a look around, lured in by their sign saying that they carry Viktoria Richards Chocolates. When I asked the clerk about it, he offered me a free sample. After choosing a champagne heart, I nibbled on it as we walked around the store. I would give him flavors and he would come back with ideas. You don't have to be a wine snob to find something here; you just have to be open minded. These guys know their stuff and can help you put together a list of wines to try before you can say 'Moscato'. He also told me about the wine tasting on Friday nights. Usually the wines are drier than what we'd been looking at, he said, but definitely worth trying. Sounds like a fun Friday night to me! read more

Pretty good selection of wines. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Several wines were available for sampling - a nice gesture if you enjoy trying new wines or are unsure what to purchase. Usually we purchase our wine in Tampa, but we made a special trip to Ed's to locate a boxed wine from Wineberry.com. We were very pleased to see that the store carried the brand we were looking for. read more

Right now the tasting are on hold but when we are out of the woods you can bet I'll be there many Friday nights with my girlfriends tasting magnificent wines from all over the world for $5.00 a person. We bought tickets for the wine sampling, but my husband doesn't drink wine nor did the other two guest that came with us, they came just for the social aspect. What appeared to be the owner/manager in charge shouted from one side of the store not to serve him. We explained that he doesn't drink wine and then I had also said that he didnt have to be so loud and unprofessional about it and he said well if you dont like it you can leave...keep in mind my husband is African American so maybe that's how they treat all minorities... read more

Love Ed's Fine Wine. Ed and Perry know their wines. I some of the best wine available at Ed's and believe me you can't find many of their super good and affordable wines at Total Wine or Costco or Publix etc. When you are a regular customer they learn what you like and are able to advise you on specific wines that you will enjoy and steer you away from one that will disappoint your tastes. Perry loves playing with me. He recently poured me a glass of red to taste and challenged me to guess the grape and then the price. I guessed Cabernet but was informed that it was one of those rare very soft merlots. I then guessed around $20. Wrong again. It was a special buy they had found and it sells until gone at 2 for $10. Obviously I loaded up. If you like a good Zin please try the Moss Roxx, a real crowd pleaser and excellent value. read more

I went into the store this last weekend for the first time and was blown away by the expertise and level of hospitality shown from the moment I walked in the door. The person on staff was amazing and put me on to a new wine that I have never been exposed to and it was hit at my party. I will definitely be back soon! Ed's is family run by a handful of guys that love nothing more than to help you find that perfect bottle. My favorite is to step into the wine vault in the back and just get lost in all the rare finds. You could go to one of the bigger stores and spend $25 on a decent bottle, or you could spend that same $25 at Ed's and get an experience AND a screaming bottle of wine that you probably wont find anywhere else. read more

We tried Ed's tonight - meh. Very tight quarters for a wine tasting - seems like people in the area don't realize you need to move away once you receive your pour. The Oregon/ French wines were blah and the guy pouring was not doing a good job selling. Now the guy pouring Italian did a good job describing the wines, but the wines were meh at best.
