I was told he wasn't friendly, with no bedside manner so to speak, but the two reviews I read were good so I continued despite his very abrupt & rude manner. I missed the warning signs- I could always get an appointment, within a day or so, no one ever in the shabby waiting room, the reviews were 10-15 years old, all male. After I had scheduled the surgery, he informed me I would have to come to his office the very next morning as he was going on a vacation & wouldn't be around for a few weeks after. Again, I should have canceled it all, huge red flag. When I protested that it would be too difficult to get there less than 24 hours after such a complicated procedure, his response was that "your shoulders broken, not your legs." Still I went on with him foolishly. After my surgery, my companion got me there, (still in my hospital socks) & he informed me that he hadn't repaired the 3 damaged ligaments or bicep, but put in 2 bands which would be "good enough." When asked how much medication to take, we were told to "read the label & do the math." It has been two years & I am faced with getting the surgery again. Other professionals that have looked at this just shake their heads & don't say anything. Again, there were warning signs & since then I've talked to two other older women who had terrible experiences with him as well. At the very least, I can take some comfort in knowing he's not practicing anymore. Listen to your gut when dealing with these guys. I didn't & have paid big time.

After he couldn't find anything wrong with me during the consult, he recommended I go get an MRI. My brother got his labrum and rotator cuff surgeries, both of which were awesome. Surgical skills are on point. His shoulder is better than before his injury, and my issue resolved by itself. His bedside manner is rather dry, but that's fine with me in that it's not as if I'm going in for a best friend. I like that he's to the point and efficient, which my brother, sister (she went in for a knee and though didn't get a diagnosis, she feels good that she has a resource to consult with him). The front office and staff are on top of it and during COVID, do the hygiene related things.

While Dr. Andrew's reputation obviously speaks for itself with these other glowing reviews, I felt…read morecompelled to add my own personal experience. Not only is he compassionate and professional but genuinely concerned about his patients' well-being and knowledgeable in his field. Recently, I experienced severe, acute neck pain and a horrible lingering migraine, waking up in pain and with almost no range of motion. Even simple things like driving or brushing my hair felt difficult and uncomfortable. Dr. Andrew was able to see me on short notice, and he really helped me with both my neck pain and my migraine. I had always assumed that my migraines were hormonal, but apparently, they can be caused by musculoskeletal issues. Specifically, he pinpointed a muscle located behind the lower part of my ear that was tight, and he taught me how to massage that spot to alleviate it. The following day, I honestly felt like my old self again, which was a huge relief. I also appreciated that he offers cupping therapy, which isn't always offered by all chiropractors. This was a really cool first-time experience for me, especially since I didn't know all its benefits. Another nice perk: He's got an adorable and friendly little dog who helps patients feel relaxed and at home. Dr. Andrew really goes above and beyond to take care of "the whole patient" and simple put, he's amazing at what he does.

So, here's the deal…read more.. I'm not one of those Burlingame trophy wives who has tennis elbow - I hurt my back slinging 80 lb. bags of concrete and 92.5 lb. bags of lye in a lumberyard at the height of summer in Georgetown, Texas. Your tennis elbow can suck it. That said, these people are effective at what they do. They make you work. You feel like you've done something that will actually help your condition, whatever that may be. This is unlike all other physical therapists where they have you do a couple stretches and maybe six minutes on a treadmill and you never break a sweat. Which is good. Further, Marie (I can't remember her name), is awesome at suggesting new activities and mixing it up so it doesn't get boring. They give you the tools you need to get better. What is not good about STA? They seem to double and triple book their patients so much so that the least amount of time I've spent there is one and a half hours. The maximum amount of time I've spent there is three hours and five minutes. My treatment on average takes an hour forty-five to three hours. The employees run around and bust ass, but they never seem to catch up. As someone who is working full time and is trying to make appointments after work to find a place to live in the Bay Area, this doesn't work for me. I can do an hour and thirty minutes, but any longer and it just feels gratuitous. Also, if you are going to take the time to put thirty-seven signs that say "NO WHINING" all over the walls, take your own goddamn advice and stop bitching about how you have sooooo many patients and you aren't gonna make it to the ball game. We have lives too.

I arrived 30 minutes early for my first appointment, hoping they might accommodate me, but they were understandably busy. However, once my scheduled appointment time arrived, I was forced to wait an additional hour before being seen. During this 1.5-hour ordeal, I was shuffled between various rooms for no apparent reason, all while watching at least 15 other patients being cycled through to see the same doctor. Even worse, patients who arrived long after me were seen first. When I questioned the doctor about the delay, he offered a standard apology, claiming there was an "emergency." To make matters worse, the facility looks nothing like the pictures online. The actual clinic is flimsy, poorly maintained, and offers zero privacy--you can easily overhear other patients' confidential conversations. The entire operation feels like a money-driven hustle. Save your time and go elsewhere. Avoid this place at all cost!
