Karisa is such a delight. She took before pictures and asked a few questions before nurse Lindsey came in. Lindsey blew me away. First of all, she has incredible eye contact, says funny things, and is very educated on anatomy (she speaks intelligently it makes me feel secure, and develops great trust quickly). Lindsey took the time to listen to my concerns and educated me on the process, and when performing the procedure she had such a calm presence and demeanor and made for a more relaxing situation. Lindey helped with lip filler, cheek filler, and Botox. You could tell that patience and comfort are one of Lindsey's top priorities along with precision. I'm so happy my lips didn't bruise! My results thus far are amazing but still healing. The front office staff Dawn and Nick were a pleasure to interact with too. Nick did a great job with offering me a program I could sign up for and help same money at my next visits.

I had to pay 20k to get revision rhinoplasty because it was so bad. The doctor I saw for a revision even said it was pretty bad and messed up and super bulky on the bottom. He also just took my septum completely out instead of fixing it. So now I've spent 31k on my nose. I've attached the photo of his nose (top) that Dr.Mesna did, along with the one I just got from a different surgeon. It now looks way more natural and nice compared to what he did to me. I also have a septum now. I wouldn't recommend having rhinoplasty here. The pain you go through to do it and then it comes out bad is not ok. Along with how much it costs..

I was…read morevery happy that I got a second opinion from Dr. Cho and that she was able to review the pathology from the previous provider. When it came about that Mohs was necessary to remove a basal cell carcinoma from my scalp, Dr. Tschetter, her assistant, Shayna, and her scheduling coordinator, Christina, were all fantastic at helping me out. I was able to get an appointment for the same week that I called, they kept me calm and answered all of my questions. Even though I had to go back 3x to get cancer removed, I was glad that Dr. Tschetter was conservative in her approach so that I'll have minimal scarring. She was also meticulous about how she closed up the site so that I will have a straight-line scar along the center part of my hair - it'll be imperceptible once it's fully healed. I am really optimistic about my recovery and couldn't be more thankful that I landed at Dermatology Specialists for this procedure.

I was having injections of my glabellar which included the two corrugator muscles. Before he injected I asked if he would talk for a few minutes about placement of the injection site. I had done a little research. he said, "I'll do it my way". A few days later, I noticed wavy lines above my corrugator muscles and called the office. They said I could come in for a touch up. I just asked for a refund. They said the lines would 'go away'. Well, they haven't. And it will be a year in June, I've been to two other dermatologists and an occuplastic surgeon. And it is called corrugator muscle atrophy, either he used too much Botox or it was placed incorrectly. The occuplastic surgeon said he hadn't seen anything like it in his 30 years of practice. If I try a few other procedures like Rf microneedling or laser, it could cost quite a lot, since it has to be done more than once. I look at the lines every day and wish I had never seen this doctor.

I asked the ladies on the down low how Dr. Van Beek's work was and they all said good. Before you say, well of course that is what they would say, I can say that it not necessarily true (from experience). In any case, I had a droopy eyelid and a small amount of fat under my chin that I wanted addressed. So I had a consultation with Dr. Van Beek where he looked at some previous work I had done and made a few observations (different from suggestions), which I appreciated, because if I was going to be down and out for an amount of time, I'd rather it be all at one time or as much at one time as possible. In the end he ended up doing fat transfer to my face and the back of my hands, surgery under my chin, a Bleph, and he got the fat from my tummy and flanks. He also had to "fix" a previous surgeons bad result with my ears. All in all I was in surgery for a long time and was really banged up afterwards. Well, no pain, no gain, right? I can say confidently he did all that was called for and then some. His aftercare consists of 6 follow up ultrasounds where he also reviews your progress and removes stitches. Then he sees you at one month follow up and then I believe at 6 months. All in all I would recommend Dr. Van Beek overall, he is a man of few words but has a kind and gentle manner, and a stellar and respectful and kind staff.

I feel his personal life has interfered with his professional life. His girlfriends have influenced him in negative ways. It's all about the money now. He hired a girlfriend to only lose her after a break up. Very unprofessional. It shows that she was just after his money. She did all the high class decorating in the office. My opinion is it's ugly and cold. Doesn't give off a warm and inviting vibe. When the girlfriend roomed me, she spoke very ding dongish, and made sure I knew dr. K was hers. Not good. The staff is very unfriendly and rude. I've seen them roll their eyeballs at clients. They act very high class and above me. They make me feel very uncomfortable. Dr. K has expanded so much to keep up with the times that he himself has stopped doing some practices like Botox. His office is decorated so expensively high class that I don't fit in. I do not feel comfortable at all. I feel very low class and that I shouldn't be there. I can't afford his products. I can't eden afford his services anymore. He's very pricey to compared to others doctors. I've done the leg work. I've visited other plastic surgeons and received much lower estimates for different things. During my visits with dr. K, I feel very rushed. He's in and then he's out in a flash. He is very vague on his suggestions and descriptions. I'm not a doctor or rich smart woman, so I need very detailed conversations with explanations and examples maybe. He speaks very, this is what's wrong and here's your price to fix it good bye. My visits with dr. Kovanda have lost their comfortable, fun, and personable appeal. Dr. Kovanda and his unwelcoming staff has become very quick and cold. He is catering to the rich and high end. I understand he's not going to stay rich by servicing us low income people. It's all about the money, and he's now very much moved into this group. I feel very bad that dr. K has changed in a manner to cater to only the rich. I feel disappointed that I have to find other places to go for my services because I no longer feel comfortable at his office and can't afford him. He is no longer friendly and personable with me.
