Won't go back. Went for the first time as a new patient for a skin cancer exam and discovered I had eczema as well. I was given a cream that made it worse. I went back 7 days later to be seen again for a follow up to the cream and was charged for another office visit. When I called to find out why I was billed for the first visit (should have been preventative) and why was I charged full price for the follow up, I had to make repeated calls. When calling the main line, most of the time it goes to voicemail and they may or may not call you back. When I finally reached someone, they said they had to have billing call me back. After multiple follow up calls, I was told the first visit was diagnostic so can't be billed as preventative and the second visit required another exam so wasn't considered follow up. The exam was all of 2 seconds of the Dr seeing things were worse and gave me a shot to minimize symptoms. They said I was examed again and it had to be billed as such and not a follow up. I will not be going back not only because I feel like I was unfairly charged but also because trying to get anyone on the phone was extremely difficult. I will stick with park Nicollet. read more

Dr. Margareth has single-handedly restored my faith in Dermatologist. Simply. First, you need to make sure that your dermatologist has the skin that you desire. (She is gorgeous). Second, you need to make sure she is organized enough not to overbook you for services. Everything else is extra credit as far as I am concerned. Dr. Margareth Pierre-Louise is the total package. She has helped me battle an issue with eczema-like fungus-Ike concerns that I had for years. I had dealt with it for years so I was used to it. When she was introduced to my dilemma, she stated that she was not going to rest until she found a solution. And she kept her word. Once I saw noticeable improvement, a true tear was formed. When she said she was 'discharging' me, my body went numb. Again, I never felt we would have a solution and even though she made me a believer, I just knew she would have to be a part of my budget for life. I have tried others in town. Dr. Margareth is the only one I would recommend. In addition, she has weekend hours for the busy professional or you can do an online consultation. This was the best doctor's appointment I've ever had. The facility is clean and smells good. Dr. Pierre-Louis was at the desk and she was quite welcoming. I am a sucker for when businesses make it easy for me to give them business. I got her name from 2 of my friends as a recommended dermatologist. I was able to go online and request an appointment. I got a confirmation of said appointment on the next business day & a reminder call a couple of days prior to the appointment. Dr. Pierre-Louis was very clear in communicating. Waited over an hour for my first appointment here before having to leave for other engagements without even being seen. I understand that things fall behind but at least communicate the delay rather than leave me sitting in a room alone and continue saying it will be "5 more minutes." I was also told the doctor would call me back and never received a call. I'm very disappointed in the disregard for my time and lack of professionalism. Amazing! I live between NorCal and Miami so, I spent a lot of time in the sun. I went there to get my skin checked and was blown away with how kind the staff is. Dr. Louis Pierre spent a lot of time with me. Performed a small procedure then offered to do a laser treatment - for free - because I waited a little bit longer for my appointment 'which is common' in healthcare especially if the doctor is spending time with their patients. No one has ever been so mindful of this fact. They did the treatment and provided TONS of follow up support and provided me with sunscreen or whatever I needed to heal properly. I am a black female and I was seen by Dr.Louis at Twin City Dermatology the earlier part of the year. I was impressed during the first visit. I was given 4 different prescriptions that were very costly. I followed the doctors treatment plan carefully. When I returned for my follow up appointment 3 months later, I mentioned to her that my skin had become much darker and it appeared the medication was not working. My initial visit was for hyperpigmentation. She addressed the situation as, "Oh we can fix that". She did a quick examine and wrote another prescription that was even more costly than the first. After we spoke for a few minutes, I recall her opening the examine room door as we were both leaving the room and telling the desk staff to, "give me a bag of samples". She never discussed a second treatment plan or a follow up. I left there thinking, "so what now"! After purchasing the second prescription and seeing no change I decided to contact another dermatology clinic for the same medical concern. I had my medical record transferred to their office. I made an appointment to be seen. I sat down with the medical staff there and they looked in my chart at the previous records from Twin City dermatology. From what I understand the notes in my chart "were all over the place". I feel Dr. Louis did not have my best interest at heart or maybe I was not that patient that would yield excellent results from her. I am very happy with the new clinic. I received a totally new prescription from what I was given by TCD and the medical staff explain why I was given the prescription and how it would affect the medical concern, (hyperpigmentation). I am hoping for great results from the new clinic. Hopefully, anyone having medical treatment from TCD will have a better experience that I had. read more

Center is always every behind and not always on top of things. 2/3 Prescriptions I had to call to remind them to send them over, one of which they had zero recollection of with zero accountability. I also had PRP done and would truly recommend finding another more experienced clinic to do it at. I had severe pain from the injects in my scalp for over a week. Which I know now is definitely not normal. Definitely find another place to seamlessly take care of your needs. read more

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Being new to the Twin Cities area, I am so glad that I found Dr. Margareth. She and her staff were so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The entire team had a lot of patience answering all of my questions and educating me on multiple treatment options and on-going skin care/protection practices. After my minor treatments, I felt very light-headed and began to feel like I was going to faint (this has happened to me before after other similar treatments at other doctor's). The staff immediately jumped to my aid, helped me get through safely, and gave me specific guidance on what to do in the future if this happened again. They were AMAZING! I took my 12-year-old daughter to visit Dr. Margareth Pierre-Louis for acne treatment recently. When we arrived to her office, I noticed how clean and nice the office looked. We were immediately acknowledged and greeted with a friendly smile by the receptionist and Dr. Pierre-Louis. The check in process was quick and easy as I completed the paperwork online which made the total wait time about five minutes. The doctor didn't keep us waiting long when we actually got to the room. She was very friendly and had a pleasant manner. She took the proper time to see my daughter, recommend and explain a treatment plan and gave us the opportunity to ask questions. Saw Dr Pierre-Louis at TCDermotology today for hair thinning. She gave me complete picture of this issue and available gamut of possibilities as far as help not cure: vitamins, shampoos, serums, RX medications, over-counter, HairMax tools and transplant. She told me good/bad of each and why she chose what she did for me. Along with being smart and lovely, it's a nice office, kind & efficient staff. All forms are online so not much "office" time needed. My expectations were more than met. I've been to highly rated doctors for this in the city and Dr PL and staff really are the best I've found. Dr. Pierre-Louis and her staff are amazing! I was able to book online, and when I arrived fill out a form on a tablet with my insurance and medical information, etc. The staff are all very friendly, professional, and organized. The office is bright, clean, and welcoming. I have seen her twice now, and will keep going back for all my skincare needs. The first time I went to have a mole removed that I didn't like. It was quick and painless, a lot less invasive than I expected. She also recommended a face wash to bring down some of the pink in my cheeks. The second time I went in I had a skin flare up of perioral dermatitis around my nose and chin. She diagnosed it right away and prescribed a topical antibiotic, an oral antibiotic, and prednisone to reduce the flare up since it was my birthday weekend, and gave me some samples of Eucrisa. She also gave me a Vitamin-C serum from her own skincare line for free to replace the one that may have caused the flare! read more

I have waited to write this review to make sure I got a full scope of everything. So here it goes. I went to see this dermatologist with a friend for adult acne issues she was having. We read the reviews of Dr. Pierre-Louis and thought this doctor sounds too good to be true... and it was. Let's start with the first visit. We were told there was paperwork so come early to Finish them. We were there 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. Apparently there is an entire hour where the clinic is practically stopped for lunch. Got there early but didn't get to paperwork until the time of the appointment because the girl covering the front desk didn't know what she was doing. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes before we got taken back. The lady calling us back was extremely weird. She was jittery and smelled weird. I don't know what kind of drugs she was taking but I was already ready to walk out. None the less I couldnt because I was only there for moral support. Now we get into the exam room. As I look around I see a used needle cap on the ground. Clearly they don't clean the rooms between their patients. The assistant asks why we are there, my friend says for adult acne but since we are here she wanted to ask the doctor about hair thinning. The assistant rudely cuts her off and says this appointment is only 10 minutes so pick one problem. HOLD ON!! A specialty clinic with a 10 minute appointment slot only?! Why are the fees so ridiculously high? Anyway, my friend tells the assistant let's just talk about acne. The assistant walks out of the room. 20 minute wait in the room and this doctor comes in. Let me start by saying she walked in like she had a timer on her head. All she wanted to do was get us in and out ASAP. She literally took a two minute glance over and proceeded to describe like 5 different meds. This supposed doctor didn't even ask or tell about side effects. Didn't bother to explain anything about the medications. It's like she was a machine spitting up prescriptions and left giving the assistant instructions to draw blood which we also didn't exactly understand why or what for. The assistant then poked my friend twice and panicked. At one point the needle head touched the table before she poked her. I almost had a heart attack. That is an infection waiting to happened. Two tries in and I had to put a stop to this. I asked her to get someone else for the blood draw. Another 10 minutes later before another assistant could take blood. Here is the best part, they asked us for a review of the place as we are walking out. The computer to do this review is literally on the front desk. It's like you are forced to write a good review as they stare at you writing it. No wonder this place has so many "good" reviews. It's a sleezy intimidation tactic. We finally left the place and looked at each other in the car only to start laughing. The entire ordeal was laughable. The doctor was a joke. We were a number and pay check for her. She supposedly is supposed to have a cure for hair loss, why can't she fix her own hair. That's like going to a restaurant and finding the chef watching a YouTube video on boiling eggs. What a joke. Top it all off, medication was not even sent to the right place and got slapped with a huge bill. read more

I won a free hydrafacial on Instagram... I'm not sure if that was a factor to the experience. Front desk was not friendly. Waited shortly and was called to my room, nice lady came in, I forgot her name. But she said she was the office coordinator or something. She told me she was not a nurse so I figured she was a licensed esthetician and a coordinator... because don't you have to be licensed to perform facials? When I asked her questions about my skin, she would never answer. She would beat around the bush and then advertise the other services to me. This is when I started to feel uncomfortable because I realized she was not a licensed esthetician OR a nurse. She seemed informed in a very rehearsed way about the hydrafacial service itself but if I asked any other questions about my skin (I even asked about other services they had) or anything else she didn't know how to answer. Although she seemed nice in the beginning, it started to seem disingenuous and that she was annoyed of me asking VALID questions (my skin, products, THEIR spa services, etc). I felt rushed. She didn't put a towel around my neck so there was water and products constantly running down my neck and into my ears. I am pretty disappointed because I've been trying to find a new derm spa or esthetician to see on a monthly basis. They did a glycolic peel on my face but then also used 15% Vitamin C serum after and sent me off with no SPF or protection (mid day appt). My skin ended up being red and itchy by the end of the day. I'm pretty well informed on skin care and I never use my AHA/BHA products in combination with my Vitamin C serum for this exact reason: irritation. I would not recommend this office for facials as they allow non-licensed, non-specialists to perform them. For appointments with an actual nurse or the doctor, I can't say since I didn't see any of them. read more

Dr. Pierre-Louis is AWESOME!! My first appt with her was via her office's virtual option. My follow-up appt was in person in her lovely, nicely appointed office. I was sold on her from my virtual appt. Now that I've had the in-person appt., I just had to write this glowing review. She is a breath of fresh air! I was not kept waiting in the receiving area of her office for hours on end like what I've experienced with other MDs. Her professionalism, warm patient bedside manner and knowledge are off the charts! She is a master of her craft for sure. She explained everything about my condition and treatment options so plainly and thoroughly, yet explicitly. My condition has improved significantly between the time of initial appt to the follow-up appt that occurred today. Her staff is professional and exceptionally pleasant, too! Bottled water and keurig hot tea and coffee are available in the reception area -- classy! I went to see Dr. Pierre-Louis recently and I'm seriously questioning the legitimacy of this practice and the doctor. I made the appointment for my daughter who is 5 years old for a rash on her arm. The doctor gave us serval options of what it could be. Some of the options she mentioned were clearly not correct. According to her she NEEDED to do a biopsy to figure it out. She quickly chose to do a biopsy and did not want to really consider anything else. Biopsies are expensive and it was obvious that she was doing this just for money. I understand it is a small clinic and you need money, but doing the most expensive option right off the bat is pathetic. I really felt that she was trying to milk the appointment for every penny she could. The most disturbing part of the entire ordeal is how cold she was with my daughter, and honestly just fake. She used this baby-ish high pitched tone speaking to her that was just plain rude. My daughter is 5, not a baby. She did not even know how to handle dealing with my daughter that she called in two other nursing aids to hold down my daughter during the biopsy and blood draw. There was absolutely no need for that. My daughter was fine before the aids came in and touched her. She had one aid hold her arm down while the other one practically laid on her legs. I spoke up and said is this necessary, and the doctor just glared at me. Rude doctor. Talks down to the patients. Does this for money not for NEED. Just a huge disappointment of a doctor. I do not know why I ever subjected my daughter to her clinic. Shame on me for choosing such a doctor. I guess we live and learn. Please do not use this Dr. I specified wanting a full biopsy and had investigated which labs she uses. I was told Lab Corp so I was happy as I can see the results myself. She lied and used a different lab so that I could not get the result nor see what was ordered. On the requisition for she identified a history of having had eczema. I clearly stated to her (daughter present) that I had never been diagnosed with that and that I had never had any rashes nor itching. The purpose was to get to the toot of the horrific pain in my hands, especially the index finger where a shave was taken from the inside of finger. When complaining I was told that I was rude to the staff but was not. She knew what my symptoms were showing which is a serious infection so she decided to minimize the findings but selecting her lab preference to deny me to have access. A full biopsy was never performed but the result did identify that ID (infectious disease) could be present. I also informed the staff not to send a bill either. read more
