I had a really good experience with this team. My main pipe running across my driveway was deteriorating so I needed to get it replaced. On top of that I had two cesspools that needed to be drained. After another Yelp plumbing contractor "discovered" a problem with my sewage line - - "orangeboard," between the garage cast iron pipe and the cesspool's PVC, had broken - - but, didn't have the equipment to fix it, and not being able to recommend anyone, I contacted Edwards, whose Yelp reviews were stellar. Fortunately, he happened to be working very close to my neighborhood, so, he came within a half-hour to do a quick inspection. He asked me a few questions, then called his worker to come by when he was done at the other site, which was about 1-1/2 hours later. Three hours later, he, his son, and a helper, got the job done! I lost one ratty shrub, which I had to dispose, myself, along with some grass and minor landscaping, which had to be dug up to remove the "orangeboard" and replaced with PVC between the end of the garage's cast iron line and the cesspool's PVC (n.b., the cesspool replaced a 50-plus-year-old cesspit in 2017; why that work - - which we had problems with just a few days later - - which was done by another company didn't include the "orangeboard" in their work is beyond me). He even replaced all the pavers that had to be removed to dig up the area (incredibly, he didn't even scratch the driveway!). The only minor issue I discovered was two weeks later, when I replaced the removed shrub with flagstones and marble chips: the concrete path from the driveway to the house - - which they, carefully, dug under to access the garage cast iron pipe, "orangeboard," and cesspool PVC - - had not been fully filled-in with dirt, so there was a large gap (about 2 feet wide by 2 feet deep) underneath the path, which could have become problematic after a few rains further eroded it. I fixed the problem by pouring a 50-lb bag of sand into the affected area. The original quote was for $1,500, which became $1,700 after taxes and a credit card fee (we don't carry that kind of cash at home), but, given their expedience, workmanship, and friendliness, I felt it was worth it (n.b., the previous plumbing contractor charged me $200 - - for all intents and purposes, he did nothing, but discover the "orangeboard" problem, which I had never heard of before, and had to research on the web, afterward - - and the new cesspool was installed in 2017 for $5,000, so, the $1,700 seemed fair, all around). After exactly one month since Edwards' work was done, I am very pleased with the result: no sewage back-ups, no sign of leakage in the driveway or yard, and only minor damage to the landscaping. I called Edwards Sewer & Drain for an emergency, the office was not open 24hrs however, the next morning I got a call bright and early giving me an arrival time of 12noon. It was New Years Eve and we were ending the year with a bang. Price was $185/1000g and $55 for chemicals/per tank. I was a little strapped for cash so I made an agreement to have the cesspool pumped and aerated at the time and then have them return in 7 days to add chemicals. They were very pleasant. Pumped out 2000g and was on their way. Price: seemed fair to me Service: did the job within a reasonable timeframe Appointment: Same day Service as promised Scheduled for anytime before 12noon, I called them for a status check @ 12:30 and the gentleman apologized and said the current customer didn't know where their cesspools were located and it caused a delay in service. We were having a backyard wedding and the morning of the event the company bringing in the portable bathroom trailer canceled. I had many people on the phones trying to resolve this disaster. Every company contacted either could not or would not help. Finally Edwards not only was able to help but they went above a beyond to get us two Portable toilets. They had them on site and set up in a few hours. The driver took the time to get the lights and sinks all set up for us. I have never been so happy to see a porta potty. Wanted to try to make over $200 for a five minute job. They literally walked in snaked the toilet and walked out. It took five minutes then they left human waste soiled tissue paper on my front lawn. I complained about the price. They said they already gave me a discount without me even asking isn't that nice but I still felt that was a lot of money for five minutes of work they would not leave my property. They kept calling me yelling at me hang up the phone I finally gave in and I paid them the money, they said they will not bill me. I did not get a receipt either. The technician were walking back-and-forth in front of my house using obscene language.
