When I walked in to pickup my online order this afternoon I saw a very young staff and that usually means mediocre service. But not today. I was warmly greeted by a lovely young lady (I was a little early and my fries were still frying). I had a seat and another pleasant young employee walked my eegee to me to enjoy while I was waiting and then another very pleasant young man brought my food over to me rather than me having to get up to get it. We were in a rush and after our lunch plans fell through, we decided to get fast food. Eegee's was on the way to our destination so we decided to check it out. We were greeted right away. The person behind the counter was friendly and patient with us. Having not been there before, we asked a million questions and she answered all of them with a good attitude. We don't understand why their sandwiches are separated into two groups: grinders and subs. We couldn't tell a difference; they were very similar. Even their website doesn't provide a clear distinction. I really appreciate that Eegee's has options outside of meat, such as tuna and veggie. I ordered the tuna sub while my guys ordered grinders. We each also ordered drinks. The sandwiches came loaded with toppings. However, the flavors were slightly disappointing. The ingredients didn't seem very fresh either. The drinks were fun and delicious, though. I don't think we will be back for the sandwiches, but we might for the drinks! read more

Real fruit juice in their drink. Similar to a water ice. The sandwiches were basic and not spectacular. This is a great place to go when you are in need of a frozen drink many steps above a slurpee. read more

Oh Eegee's, what happened to your food? The ingredients seem somehow LESS! We ordered two footlong sandwiches, chef's salad and a ranch fries. The fries had less ranch dressing and bacon bits (but lots of fries). The salad was definitely less quantity than say, 3 months ago. And the tuna salad sandwich had less tuna as all the previous 50-100 visits. The Turkey Ham and Cheese had pretty much the same quantity as in the past. I think. This is my favorite Eegee's location, and has been ever since I came here for the first time years ago. I used to come here after school twice a week (I attended Pima Community College across the street). Call me nostalgic if you want. This is a typical Eegee's location. Eegees is a local fast food favorite best known for their cold frozen drink. Between a slushy and shaved ice. Their drinks are excellent. Their primary food are sandwiches, the lunch meats are of medium to poor quality, their bread is fresh but basic white wheat... but their grinder sauce, amazing! Unfortunately they cancelled one of the best menu items the fritto chillito. This visit I had the chicken tenders. Since they introduced the chicken tender sandwich. The chicken tenders were awful. Eegee's...oh Eegee's, wherefore arte thou Eegee's? Oh...you're only located in Tucson? Shoot! Seriously though, if I were to ever leave Tucson, I would miss Eegee's like whoa. The sandwiches are like a typical sub sandwich, althought I think they have a special yummy recipe for their mayo. My guilty pleasure are french fries, and in my opinion, Eegee's has the best french fries in town. They are those squiggly fries, perfectly crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. "The Eegee" is a household name here in T-Town, it's is a slushy-like drink that often incorporates chunks of fruit and comes in strawberry, lemon-lime, and pina colada flavors. They also have a flavor of a month. It's July now, and I believe the flavor of the month is watermelon...a local favorite. YUM. I had to laugh at the "adjust our menu prices slightly" comment apparently math isn't part of the Eegees brand. And the sandwich wasn't any different from one week to the next. This location was close to a hotel I was staying in. I had a roast beef sandwich. It had a decent amount of meat and toppings but was just okay. The crinkle cut fries were good. First let me say, I love Eegees. I was raised on these drinks and have been to many different locations, this one that I am reviewing is by my house. I THINK this location transferred from the little one off Drachman and Stone which would make sense because their quality of customer care has remained the same. I feel like the drive-thru employees are always "out of it", never very clear, and sometimes rude when I order and I always have to repeat myself. My main reason for only three stars is their lack of attention to detail. Eegee's ranch is the main course for any meal and nothing is more upsetting then getting home an realizing there is no ranch after specifically asking for 5. Sometimes they forget the spoons or straws, too. One of their policies is that each food item comes with one sauce and every time I go they try to charge me more than extra, if i get 2 sandwiches and 1 fry and ask for 5 ranches then I should only be charged for two extra. simple math! read more

This place has some great customer service! The manager, Tiffany, was so helpful in ordering a large order for a business lunch. She was professional and went above and beyond for our organization. I'd like to be specific here, this review is in comparison to other Eegee's around town... I've lived in Tucson my whole life, and therefore practically have Eegees in my blood. I've eaten at practically every store in Tucson at one time or another. Generally they are quick, clean, courteous, with excellent food product. This Eegees left something to be desired. The time waiting in the drive-through was lengthy, even though there were not that many cars ahead of me. It would appear that the primary cause for this slowness was that a good chunk of employees all elected to have their smoke breaks in the back of the store, all at the same time. While this make my wait very slow, it was also a turn off to see so many employees (who would presumably be making my food with those smokey clothes and smokey fingers) sitting on the curb puffing away. The girl at the counter wasn't terribly friendly or helpful, just taking my card without a greeting, then silently handing me my sandwich and closing the window. In the very least, an apology for having to wait so long would have been appreciated. If you come, don't let your experience at this store affect your opinion of Eegees... every other place I've been has been the total opposite of this experience. The ones at Ina & Thornydale and on Cortaro are my favorites! read more

I should start by saying I never tried the food... only the fruit slushy drinks.. seriously, how do they do it? it's like this perfect blend of fruit slushy with real chunks of fruit in it! delicious treats, that I'm sure are a huge hit in the hot Tucson summers! I tried the Pina Colada, the Lemon, and the Fruit Splash (flavor of the month.) Of the three, my favorite was probably the Pina Colada. I only wish they offered more flavor choices.
