What a great place. Order at the window. Excellent Margaritas, absolutely killer Asada Chili Renejo Burrito. They assigned a table and bring your orders to you. The food was outstanding and at least for the burrito it was huge. I will definitely be back.

This was the second time I tried to eat at Seis, and this time I succeeded...barely. It's a popular place, and the order line (there's no table service), can get inordinately long and it doesn't move very fast. It took nearly 40 minutes to wend our way through the line, leaving us precious little time to eat. That said, the food is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my Poch Chuc tacos, and my friend her Al Pastor. The aguas frescas were also really good (I loved my horchata). My only complaint, and it's a big one: we really didn't have time, given the lengthy ordering time, to enjoy our food. We had to leave much of it to voracious birds in the courtyard.

Location is great there is parking lot across street. Inside like is like a big patio it's nice. As for service you order first and you find a table to sit at. No service after if you missing anything or want more drinks you have to go to front cashier to ask for it. Pretty much you on your own after you get your food. The chicken tacos okay not a big fan of yellow tortillas (personally) tacos definitely needed salt and some type spiciness to it. The streak nachos great just wished had more steak for that big portion of nachos. Margarita flight tiny, but mighty strooong is an understatement very good

Stopped in for a light lunch on a rainy day. The Mercado Market is a really neat area where you can check out a bunch of places to eat, shop, and grab a coffee, including Seis Kitchen. They are offering a really cool menu full of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. We started off the meal with some complementary chips and salsa and also ordered a side of guac, very good. Then we had tacos, the Al pastor and surf & turf. Both were good but not great I definitely recommended ordering their corn tortillas, they are fresh and delicious. Unfortunately the fillings fell a little short. The pork for the Al pastor meat was very tender but lacked flavor. And the surf & turf tacos had a nice flavor but the meat was very tough. We did also order the margarita flight. The flight comes with 4 different margaritas, my favorites were the jamaica and prickly pear. However, next time I would refrain from ordering cocktails, they were pricey and you would never know there was alcohol in them. All in all I would return and love to try more of their tacos and other food options as well. Thank you!

We brought friends from out of town for a dog friendly Mexican Dino bf experience, and everyone loved it, including the pups. First, we have been to here many times but often get food to go because it is so busy and we are usually on our bikes. So we know the food is excellent. W also go to various places at the Mercado, so we know what the patio is like. Our friends have never been here and were craving burritos and tacos, and they had their dog with them, so we decided to try the patio dining, and it was amazing. The food was excellent. The three levels of spicy salsa were perfect for everyone's pallet. The tacos were amazing with fresh veggies and perfectly prepared eggs and potatoes. The burros had fresh tortillas that were overstuffed with eggs, potatoes and various meat. All of them tasty and fresh. The guacamole was not too heavy on the cilantro and had some nice acid from the lime. The elote was flavorful and not too creamy. The horchata and spiked eggnog were wonderfully flavorful. Everything by left people saying yum! The pups loved the attention from everyone, the patio was busy but had a good turnover pace. We were fortunate with another people day in Tucson so it was lovely to sit outside. If you love robust and flavorful Mexican food, outdoor casual dining that is perfect for dogs, and a spot that is lively and creates community, this is a great spot for Seis dinning!

I'm here for a little solo date. The food was amazing. The green salsa was a little salty, but overall I still love this place. I used to go to the wine all the way out in Catalina so I'm really happy that there's one closer to me. I like that you can order at the counter. The bar area had a ton of TVs and a lot of open seating. I don't think I have any negative experiences about this. The food was amazing. I love the rice just the sauce might be a tad little salty.

I love Seis Kitchen for numerous reasons. Excellent food, lively courtyard seating, reasonable prices and great location. While they usually have a line, it moves quickly and if you're with others allows flexibility to split details of ordering and securing a nice table. And if you're on the go, phone in your order and swing by pick it up and dine anywhere. The fare is fresh Mexican food from 6 culinary regions of the diverse country. You really can't go wrong, and 3 levels of heat of your freshly made salsa is muy bueno in my book. Seis is conveniently located just west of downtown, close by and uniquely Tucson.

    Maya V.

I like seis kitchen and I like to stop by when their line isn't too long, which it normally is. However it's fast moving and worth the wait, they don't take very long to bring the food out to your table. The outdoor seating is nice right now but in the upcoming hotter months I will probably only be taking my food to go. The staff is very friendly and will answer any questions you have. At first I thought the guacamole was overpriced at $10 but for the amount they gave me I think the price was decent. The pozole is an off-menu special you have to ask for and I'm glad I did. The agua fresca was a bit too sweet for my taste but I think that comes down to personal preference. Seis is a Tucson staple for a reason, and I will keep recommending it!

End up here after trying to go to another Mexican restaurant that do not open until 11am. What a nice surprise... the line to order always had 30 people at alll times while we were there yesterday (Sunday). Food was delicious. I am very critical about Mexican food. This place was great. The pictures say everything. The food was better than it looked in the pictures. The outdoor sitting area was perfect. They are very diligent about ensuring their patrons have an area to dine.

I took my friend here for his birthday meal. I had recently eaten at the new location on the East side and bragged about the food, This location has a courtyard patio where dogs are allowed so we went here. The courtyard has tables for the Augustin kitchen café, a coffee shop, and a bakery as well. Pigeons waddled about and bathed themselves in little puddles left behind by last night's rain. While the patio is lovely, the pay and tip at the start turned me off. You give your order at the pickup window, are assigned a table, then walk over to that table with your drinks. You are served chips with salsa and then your food and that is all the service you get. Misters spew out every few minutes. Our food came out fast. I had the poc choc burrito enchilada style and my friend had a poc choc quesadilla. Both were beautifully presented. We only had water to drink but never got any refills. We were both very thirsty. No one ever came by to ask how everything was. I stopped eating because the sauce was too spicy to eat without water so I took my meal to go, and even asking for a Togo box required us to step forward because the server was too busy bussing tables. My friend really liked his meal and thanked me for the suggestion. I would have rated this experience higher had we gotten some service. The server may have been overwhelmed as she took orders, served food and bussed tables and even though the Sunday afternoon wasn't very busy, the six tables may have added to her work load. Food and ambiance were lovely but service was horribly lacking.

Great little Mexican brunch spot in the Mercado San Augustine district. The food is great and the prices are fair. Be prepared to wait because the line is usually pretty long. The seating is outside. You can also order to-go and sit somewhere else within the district - which is what we did.

    Grilled fish tacos--delicious!

We are so excited to have a Seis Kitchen on the east side! It's only been open a couple weeks and is already being discovered. The food is just as good as I remember at the Mercado location--wonderful salsas and seasonings. Plan to wait a bit in line to order; they could use more help at the cash register, though staff is very friendly. Patrons are directed to a numbered table; we waited about 15 minutes for our order. The decor is the only thing I found a bit odd: it looks like a First Watch inside with bright lights and a combination of booths and tables. I was surprised to see TVs. I would have expected a bit nicer ambiance considering the great food.

Our Hispanic realtor recommended Seis Kitchen as one which is authentic. We love Mexican food but we wonder exactly what authentic is?

Authentic as in Northern Mexico. Everything here is freshly made and very tasty. There are two places to get this good food. One is at The Market west side of I-10 on Congress. Lovely place to eat in the courtyard on a weekend or warm evening.… Read more

My hubs suggested that we go to The Frida and see if we could get in. We drive over and guess what, we go lucky, must have been that everyone had a 4th of July hangover. Our server/bartender took great care of us, he offered us drinks, took our food order and made my hubby a really good Margarita, The Frida Margarita, he said it was bomb! I ordered a beer and it came with a chilled glass and lime wedge. We decided on the flautas and the mole enchiladas. Both fantastic, tasty and hearty! I got full with two enchiladas so I donated the third to my hubby, which he was super happy to eat. I have to say, the mole sauce was decadent and full of flavors. It really reminded me of my grandmas mole. It also left a delicious numbing (very slight) on my lips. Perfect balance of nutty, spicy, almost semi sweet goodness. Gorgeously prepared and looked almost too good to eat. Almost..... The place was full, we were still able to have a conversation. It was amazing. Will definitely be back to continue to enjoy the carefully curated menu. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed! This screams a great place to work and obviously enjoy. Well done La Frida! Well done!

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

Located in downtown Tucson, this iconic restaurant is full of character and beautifully decorated. We visited on a Saturday around 1 PM without a reservation and were told there would be a wait since the place was packed. They only have air conditioning in the indoor dining areas and basement, not on the outdoor patio. Luckily, we were seated in the basement, which turned out to be perfect. The service was commendable truly some of the sweetest and most attentive service we've experienced in a long time. We started with freshly made chips and salsa, which were an instant hit. For drinks, we ordered the El Tamarindo, Mangopeno, and Monica's Cafetini. For food, we chose the Vegan Jackfruit Taquitos Trio and the Fresh Corn Tamale Platter, which came with a side of squash. The drinks were excellent, with the Mangopeno being my favorite. But the real star of the meal was the tamale platter. Oh my goodness it was absolutely delicious! Everyone at the table kept digging in and couldn't get enough. Even the squash side was so flavorful that we ordered an extra serving. The vegan jackfruit taquitos were a bit too deep-fried for our liking and didn't quite compare to the incredible tamales. To finish, we shared a caramel flan, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The pricing was very reasonable, the service was exceptional, and the food was memorable. We will definitely be back again if only for those amazing tamales!

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
