I think this was my first time at this location of In N Out in Tucson. You just can't go wrong with In N Out. This location is about 10 minutes from the Tucson airport so it's easy to get your fix before your flight. Great service and food. The secret menu items were in full use by our group and they came out very well. Busy place but sooooo good, I don't mind the wait. They could try to increase the outside covered seating area a bit as it was difficult to find seats. We also found the iconic double crossed palm trees in the parking lot. Very cool. The food is standard good. But the environment - HOLY COW . . . It's too busy. I don't know how to change this but it's overwhelmingly busy. Like people standing everywhere waiting for food. People swarming open seats the second others are done. It was an anxiety nightmare - do not go to this location if you have a hard time in close social situations - OR USE THE DRIVE THRU! Good food. The staff here is always so friendly. We always come when it's super busy and don't wait long for our food. We have been coming to this location for years since it's closest to the house and have always had a good experience. The staff does a good job at keeping the restaurant clean and tidy. Most of the time we go through the drive through but today we decided to enjoy our food in the lobby. The other crappy QSRs like Burger King and Taco Bell can learn a ton about how to quickly and politely service customers. in/Out was able to service more customers in 10 minutes than the local Taco Bell does in 2-3 hours. Yes not a typo. The individual at the counter is friendly and well trained and anticipates your needs. I like how they proactively help you carry your menu items to your table vs watching you struggle - take note Taco Bell, Arby's. Food (B) So why the 4 stars and not 5. The burgers are just okay. Maybe my expectations were set extremely high from all the hype. But they were not bad just not good. I don't get why individuals crave this place and rant and rave about the burgers. Yes better than McDonalds, on par with Burger King but not close to Wendy's. Also the fries have not flavor - which baffles me since they appear to make them fresh in store. We were heading home from vacation and needed a quick fast food place to stop for lunch so decided to check out this In-N-Out. If you're heading north into Tucson it's a very convenient off and back on the freeway. The drive through line was long, no surprise there, but they had a gal going car to car taking orders so that was quick and easy. While waiting to pick up our order I hopped out to go in and use the restroom, I noticed the restaurant and restroom were both very clean. Our food was delicious. I was nearby and took advantage of coming here for lunch about a week ago. We are getting our first In-N-Out in Houston, TX later this year and I always enjoy visiting this burger establishment. It was very busy when I arrived at noonish but only had to wait a minute or two to order. I asked for the #3 combo with their regular burger no cheese and asked for the onions to be grilled at no charge (which is always nice!). The meal was ready in less than 10 minutes as the food is always made to order. My burger was solidly good in taste and well dressed with lettuce, tomato and the grilled onions. I also really like the fries here with a nice potato flavor and not much salt. For $6 and change the meal (including drink) represented very good value. I never get to an On n Out Burger before midnight. That's why I love In n Out, they open late. This one has clean bathrooms, but the water spigots for all three sinks took a long time to touch here and there and this and that to get the water to come on. I hate technology. Wasted water cos they won't shut off and then can't get them to turn on. I like old manual faucets. My burger was dry but when I asked for extra thousand island dressing, he gave me packet that was freezing cold to ice over my burger.
