I hate that I'm even having to write this review right now since Eegees is my all time favorite place to eat at when I'm in town but I don't think I will be enjoying it again. We went though the drive thru on 12/23 waited 26 minutes in the line only for our order to be completely messed up. We were staying in a hotel across the street in a hotel so I decided to call the Manager and spoke to Alex he was very apologetic & wanted to fix it for me right away I let him know our 2 kids meals had no lettuce, 5in Grinder was supposed to be no tomatoes no pepperonis there was both. 8in grinder no onion, had onions and we had ordered 2 cheese pretzels and were missing 1. He let me know he wrote my name down in their book and I could come back for a comp meal. I went in this morning on 12/27 before leaving town and I told the cashier the situation she rolled her eyes & grabbed the manager she came over and said what's your name I gave her my name and she said she couldn't find me in the book I told her who I talked to and she said oh here you are made the cashier rang it up while she went and made the food. Little to no surprise it's wrong again. She rang up a 5in grinder no pepperonis no onion when it's supposed to be no tomatoes. And our 8in grinder has no tomatoes when it was supposed to be no onions...everything in the order was okay the cheese on the pretzels weren't melted and cold. They also did not give me a receipt for this order as well, But they threw in a ton of ranch and house. Super disappointed with overall experience for sure. read more

So I am not native Tucson, therefore I do not really subscribe to the Eegee's iconic worship it receives. But, I have enjoyed eating it. I have only used the drive thru at this one in particular. The staff was very nice and the service speedy. I usually just get a turkey grinder. You can't go wrong there. And yes, I did the Ranch fries. The bacon bits are odd, but I dig it. Its ranch. Its fries. Its pieces of something tasting of bacon. It came from a drive-thru. How can I not dig it? I will say this though... **Takes a breath and anticipates the hate mail** I cannot stand the Eegee itself. I DO NOT GET IT. Its a frozen sugar overload. Work has Eegees cater a lot and I have tried a few flavors. I just can't like it though. I will respect the obsession of those who love it as one of those things that can only be loved due to nostalgia, but I will save my calories for the some other dessert treat. read more

Warning...review for infamous Eegee *drink* only! I'm just not a fan of cold-cut sandwiches-- never have been, probably never will. I became familiar with Eegee's when I would visit Tucson on a monthly basis as a child and teenager. While my friends would always be dying for a grinder, I would be indifferent with our visit. Now, here I am to stay (at least for the summer!). I was minding my own business, driving down to Whole Foods for a few groceries (be prepared insert ironic jokes)- and what do I spot? An Eegee's. Waves of nostalgia hit me like tidal waves smacking against a beach town. I noticed their sign: "Flavor of the Month: Mango." That was all it took; I braked like someone who is about to get into a wreck and turned into the drive-thru. My first visit was a medium with split strawberry and mango. Now, I'm not a massive fan of sugar. Really...I'm not. But the Eegee's are different to me for some reason. It has become my weekend treat and the strawberry is still my favorite. I miss the mango, but I don't mind their Pina Colada. There are a few pieces of the fruit you choose scattered throughout the slushie mix (my favorite part). For a nice sugar overload, give these a try. read more

Maybe it's because I'm not a Tucson native and so the nostalgia factor isn't there, but Eegees kinda fell short for me. I got an 8 inch original grinder or whatever it's called, and a large fries. Turns out the fries here are the cheap stuff that you can get from a grocery store and bake yourself. I was under the impression they were in-house proprietary sorta like In-N-Out or even Mcdonalds (ew), judging from all the accolades. Major bummer there. I'll give a point for the fact that they were prepared just right. The sandwich was ok, but I have had better. It just happened to be wayyyy too salty. I don't think they'd take my advice into consideration but adding some extra lettuce or something might balance out the flavors better. Anyways, food aside, service was good and the location was relatively clean, plus I believe this location has free wifi that I did not use. I guess I would try this again if I happened to be starving and near a location, but I would not go out of my way. read more

Another great eegees store. Service was beautiful. Angel was so nice and courteous taking our order and Jesus was nice too. Service with a smile just makes the food better. I understand there's a Covid going around and this review does not reflect the Covid as a problem. My problem is the meat to bread ratio is way off compared to your competitors. For example fire house and Jersey Mike's offer more meat and less bread than you guys do. I would think you could make a change with that sooner than later. I have no problem with the quality of your food however. read more

I was born in Tucson and haven't been back in 17 years...but I remember Eegees from my childhood! Of course I had to stop by and try it out again. Just like when I was 12, they were delicious :) I got the strawberry and pina colada eegee and also tried the club sandwich. As far as sandwiches go they need help....I just have so many delicious sandwich places from San Diego that I'm mentally comparing them too...sorry. if I visit again I will definitely only be stopping in for the eegee and the best part....THE RANCH FRIES! I don't know what it is about those fries...I swear they look just like a bag of the frozen crinkle kind that you can get at the grocery store...except they are really really good! so weird... There are a lot of things I like about Eegge's! Fast food that isn't all fried, heavy and fattening. There's a drive thru, why don't more sandwich shops offer this? The convenience of getting something relatively healthy, fast and at a drive thru, makes this place great! The food is good too! They are very generous with the meat on their sandwiches and other toppings. They are accommodating when special requests are made for a sandwich. And the food is always so fresh and delicious! read more

This is a newer Eeeges that replaced a Schlotzkys. The new pastrami sandwich 8 inch my friend ordered was delicious! And so was the vegetarian, packed down with tons of veggies (which you would expect!) including hot peppers and olives and they served it on a wheat roll by my request. We got out of there for under $10 with only sandwiches and two free cups of water! The Eegees was clean and efficient, and the food was brought out to us at our table. I live for Eegees cherry cider and root beer! This one has a drive-thru window as well. read more

The food at this establishment sounds and looks amazing, but when you open your bag... you are let down overtime. Pastrami - Lo grade cut meat that is microwaved and cheese is placed on top. The cheese wasn't even melted on the sandwich. The sandwich was a little weak. Hot Dog Mac n Cheese - This looks like it would be heaven in a box and it again was just over cooked hot dogs, sliced and placed on top of so-so mac. Even blue box mac n cheese is creamier than this. The Eegee Pina Colada - Lime mix - This was a delicious mixture of flavors that mold well together. Easily the best thing I ordered. The sizing is crazy though. This location didn't deserve one star, but ZERO stars wasn't an option. I can't rate the food because both times I tried to order, I was told their systems were down. The first night it was 9:40 pm, and the second night it was 10:50 pm. This location has lazy closers that would rather lie to customers than service them. This has been the worst Eegee's I have ever been to. They have gotten my families orders wrong multiple times and today when I went to get food from the drive thru, i received the most ridiculous service I have ever had. Number 1: I had to ask for my card back after I paid and had already gotten my receipt and my food. Number 2: I also had to ask for half of my order, the person at the window never even noticed that he didn't give me the 4 drinks that I ordered. Number 3: I asked for a drink carrier (which I didn't receive) and after I had to ask for my drinks, the person at the window gives me 2 of the 4, THEN asks if I want a drink carrier. I dont understand how they read it back to us correctly and then when they gave our order to us...... 1 by 1 we kept having to correct them & even just asked for our money back bcz it was riduculously frustrating! We watched them prepare our order and the staff were giving each other massages right by the drive thru window!?!?! They gave us a cookie of the month that was already opened & it appeared to have a bite taken out of it too! We drove by 2 other closer locations to visit here because of its customer service and accuracy of completing orders. Now we know otherwise.... We shall never go out of our way or even stop here to satisfy our local Eegees cravings. Eegee's is a Tucson landmark. Anyone that knows Tucson know Eegee's. This place has been serving up tasty sandwiches and their signature drink the Eegee(picture a fruit flavored ice cold slushy drink) for decades to generations of Tucsonans and those lucky enough to be pointed in the right direction while in the "Old Pueblo". Many a party has gotten started with a cooler full of Eegee's and a favorite bottle or two of a lil' sumthin' sumthin'. They make a mean Italian Grinder at Eegee's. The meatball ain't too shabby either. Each month they offer a special flavor of the month. Piña colada,Strawberry,and Original Orange are Old school favorites. Can't forget their fries! Bomb!!! I wish there was an Eegee's in L.A. But no such lucky as they are local to Tucson. Get you some!!! While you're at it get me some too!!! read more

I stopped by today for a delicious watermelon eegee and a pretzel. Both were delicious and just what I needed. But the real cherry on top was the customer service. Cute place. Was visiting from the Bay Area and kept seeing these shops all around Tucson and had to yelp it to find out what it was. Oh, sub sandwiches and slushes like my neighborhood subway. Came here first thing the next morning when it opened and already saw a few customers ordering the slushes in bulk to-go! The cashier was shoveling that stuff by hand! LOL. Definitely not what you see in the bay area...where I'm from, slushes come out of a machine, the cashier just pushes a button to get it out. The cashier had a little attidude. I was not feeling welcomed to this place but I had a good Ham and Cheese sub but I asked for it being toasted but I did not get what I want. However, the price of the sub was much cheaper than Subway. I have also tried their cholocate chip cookie and it was just OK. I think I've experienced better than this place. read more

I was starving for some FRESH Eegees large fries and didn't have time to go inside because I was on my lunch hour. They were disgusting the only good thing was the ranch dressing, just like the store off of Speedway and Craycroft this is the 2nd time I got yucky fries. I give them 3 stars because when I yelped about the Speedway store awhile back, I actually got a response from one of their corporate peeps and she mailed me a $10 gift card for their apologizes so that was cool.
