I was starving so I asked the gentleman that was making the subs what was his go to sub and he said well I actually combine 26 with the vegetables of 56 and then I add buffalo sauce I believe he said in other stuff and I said that sounds delicious. Today was my first and last visit to this location. Came in at 1130 AM. I was the only customer. Five emps behind counter ignoring me. Finally able to order 2 regular tuna sandwiches. No brainer. Was told "we may not have enough tuna because of night shift". Employee checked and bought out ample tuna salad. He spread the tuna on the bread and shoved the 2 sandwiches aside for someone else to finish assembling process. But no emps made the effort to complete the sandwiches ??? Waited five more minutes as customers, with their half-built sandwiches, waited for completion. Will continue to patronize Subway. Subway emps work harder with less help. We love the subs, but too often (at this location and one other), they do bot nake the subs as instructed. This time, I asked for my sub to be grilled and instead they grilked my wife's sub. My guy and I stopped by to pick up two sandwiches for a date night at this Oro Valley location last night. This spot is clean, bright and the employees were super friendly. All the employees had masks and the customers that were in there on our visit wore masks also. The hubs chose his usual, Turkey and Provolone, and I went with the Veggie. We both asked for extra pickles and mayo (him).. Let me tell you, my guy loves extra mayo and always is disappointed in what he gets but this store got it right and he was so happy! And me? I'm not a mayo fan but they put exactly what I needed with mustard No complaints about this store. And, yes, we'll definitely come back here. read more

A year plus some ago they had a much different staff. The last time I went I had to wait more than 30 minutes for 1 sub. I avoided going back for a long time and when I did it was off hours to avoid more than a few customers ahead of me hoping to did not take that long to fulfill my order. A few weeks back my wife wanted a sub on a Saturday so we went at a peak time. There was a good size line. Unlike the past staff this newer crew was on top of every order. Working fast and moving the line with remarkable speed. I was so impressed I asked for the manager and she was very happy to hear how well her staff were doing. I also want to point out she was also in the thick of it directing and helping make subs, getting her hands dirty setting a great example for her staff . This sub shop sets a new low bar for stupidity and plain greed. I ordered a BLT sandwich. Not complicated, right? Oh so wrong. What I received was 2 pieces of plain dry bread. That's it. No filling at all. Just 2 pieces of bread. When I called them they tried to say they didn't know what i wanted on the sandwich. Uh how about bacon , lettuce and tomato? They sure charged me full price though. 2 pieces of dry bread?! Really? We'll never order from the again. Honest mistakes I can overlook. Laziness and just plain greed are deal breakers. Just left this location 15 minutes ago and had to give a shout-out to the guys working! It was pretty busy, with lots of pick up orders coming in and several customers trickling in and out. I had four subs myself, all with specific changes and such. They worked so well together, very calm and no crazy rushing around. They took their time, every order was perfect and delicious. This place is super consistent! Always friendly, and always on point. No matter which sandwich you order, they will always taste the same everytime you go there. They're deli counter is always clean. They're meat is sliced as you order, they're bread is baked in house and they're cheese is also sliced there. I highly recommend Mike's way! Which is a lot of oil, vinegar salt pepper and herbs. It may seem like alot but the way the bread is baked its purpose is to hold all that liquid and absorb it...have you ever heard someone say " man that thing has too much flavor!" I later tried to call to address the situation and was put on forever "hold", so had to hang up. Just had lunch with four of my peers. The place was busy but the staff was fantastic. We were greeted by friendly people and the food was predictably good. The reason I 'm writing this review is because the staff was extremely professional and did a great job managing the business and the patrons. While there, we had the opportunity to observe a cantankerous, rude and impatient patron belittle the staff because he had to wait a few minutes for his food. Once the childish behavior was about to conclude, he vowed to write a scathing review for having his precious time wasted. The staff was spoken to in a manner no one should be addressed. We enjoy the subs at Jersey Mike's. The bread is always fresh, the ingredients always fresh....and you can't go wrong with "The Juice" on a cold veggie sub. I always get extra.....love their combo of red wine vinegar with a good olive oil. Last night we stopped in after errands, and the young guy (receipt has the server as Charlieg) behind the counter seemed totally spaced out. We had to repeat our order 3x. There was no one else in the shop but us. It was 6pm and he told us that he was beat as he was there since opening. Come to find out that opening is 10am....LOL. My husband and I who do work 8-10 hours a day just had to chuckle and thought "welcome to the real world youngin". A young girl finished making our subs, as a girl and and I assume her father showed up and our server Charlieg came from around the counter and started hugging on the girl. We were lazy and wanted something quick and close. Jersey Mike's recently opened a location in Oro Valley. Even though Jersey Mike's hearkens back to my days at the Jersey Shore, it's still a chain. My wife got the all-American, I got the Kahuna. Both "in the tub" i.e., without bread. Senior discount all day everyday helps. (Yes, I'm that old). Oracle and 1st Ave is gathering quite the collection of chain food joints, offering a bit of variety for those so inclined. Of course the real test for a steak sandwich or hoagie is the bread. I stopped in Thursday afternoon. No one was behind the counter to order. After a couple minutes someone came out from the back to take my order. I ordered a giant #9. This person only made a regular. I asked him if I didn't speak correctly because I ordered a giant. He said he would correct it. Then I was asked how I wanted my sandwich. I responded, Mike's way no lettuce add pickles. He proceeded to make my order and started to put lettuce on it. I again asked if I didn't speak correctly. He responded with, it's been a long day. He proceeded to finish my order without putting pickles on it. At this point I said, I guess I didn't speak correctly. I asked for pickles on my sandwich. I love Jersey Mike's sandwiches but this was the worst experience I've ever had at a Jersey Mike's. I doubt that I will return to the Oro Valley location. read more

My order was rudely taken come to find out by the manager, the guy doing toppings was struggling with a customer. Line was 10 people deep and manager asked the guy in front of me to move up where there was no place to do so, I suggested that someone should help with toppings because 1 guy moving up would not help the line build up. I was asked to leave the place because she got her feelings hurt I guess, I said no and she threatened to call the police so I did.
