It wasn't an easy job. In downtown Oakland, down in the basement, where you can't bring the truck because of the low clearance. He had to roll everything on dollies and panel carts. I compared several junk removal service companies and E-Fast has the most competitive price around Sunnyvale. I sent pictures through yelp and received an quote within an hour. They are very responsive on answering all my questions (by yelp and phone). On my scheduled day, they didn't show up within the one-hour scheduled slot so I called and got response they will arrive in 10 mins. When they arrive, they confirmed what to be removed and the final price. They did a quick job and cleaned/swept afterwards. You can pay by credit card - no surcharge on that. I hired Eder and his crew for a massive backyard clean up after my mom passed away. Junk and dead appliances to be hauled away, two sheds to be demolished and cleared, a massive fallen pine tree to be cut up and removed, vines, rogue saplings, weeds, and bamboo. They did an incredible job of clearing the unwanted growth in the yard without harming the trees and bushes we wanted to save. This was several days of work and I don't know how many trips to the dump. I was in despair over the condition of the yard before they tackled it, and now... Well, I had an obvious hunch that with nearly 200 5-star reviews to this date that this company just HAD to be a good choice, and this hunch was proved 100% correct. A very close friend's mom passed away recently and he asked me if I could help him take a large load of junk from his mom's home to the dump, which would be made easier since he was given access to use his company's large delivery truck equipped with a hydraulic lift. The load we needed to take included an old king-size mattress bed and 6 sectional sofa pieces, along with several garbage bags of non-donable items. I decided to research how much the dumping fees might cost to do this ourselves because I had recently overheard someone at Home Depot mention how RIDICULOUSLY high the fees had become. So when I did that, I shook my head in disbelief and realized that for the hassle and the expense, it might be well worth my friend getting an estimate from a junk-hauling company before going the DIY route. Well, we called the E-Fast number and they were able to come and give us an estimate that same day since they were doing a job in that area, and they arrived at the exact time they said they would. My friend and I were VERY happy with the estimate we were given which did end up being the total price, ESPECIALLY when taking into account the dump fees, time & hassle, and not to mention the sore muscles we would have incurred if my friend and I did this ourselves! They came the following morning just as scheduled (see my photo of their truck and debri box), and took everything, being very careful about not damaging any doorframes or walls as they hauled everything out. I called up Eder Rosa the owner and coordinator of E-Fast Hauling and gave me an estimate over the phone which was competitive. Turns out I had grossly under estimated the load which needed to be hauled away, but Eder gave me a great deal because he was there and his truck was empty and ready to go. You can see the photos of the load in the truck, all that for $300, the dump fees would have been at least $150. Eder was quick also, he had that loaded in less than 30 minutes and was gone. I called on Friday to ask some questions. They came out for a free estimate on Monday ... and i said, sounds good... I joked and asked if they could do it right then, (assuming they wouldn't even be able too) and He said yes! What wonderful people seriously, you get a little nervous having strangers you don't know come to your home but i felt very comfortable with Eder and his brother. Its also a family run business which I love and for a little more then a big trip to the dump would be i didn't have to lift a finger or hassle with all the filth and driving to the dump and inconveniencing my friends to come help me. So I was in the process of moving houses, and I had a TON of junk thrown into my back yard waiting for it to be picked up. -Eder was the one who came with a helper. He was very professional and went straight to work! -They were remarkably QUICK! i timed this whole process, and it only took them 1.5 hours. I was AMAZED! If i had done it all by myself, it would have taken me half a day. -After everything was said and done, both men hosed down my back yard and cleaned up after themselves. I have lived in this house for 25+ years, and lots of junk has piled up in the back yard. I know my search for hauling ended when Eder gave me a reasonable quote for moving junk and tear-down 3 home-made sheds. I got another quote earlier, and I immediately arranged for the work to tear-down and haul away. Eder came with his crew on time. I would definitely use them again! Found them through yelp when I was trying to empty my garage before throwing a party. They were able to fit me in the same day I called. The owner has staff that come to meet you based on your estimated haul. Since my load was big - Two guys came to haul with a big truck (size of about probably 4 pick up trucks full). I had a garage full of stuff with boxes,furniture, tables, chairs, tires and a whole lot of crap. Paid a several hundred bucks and everything was gone in less than 2 hours. These guys are cool. I was moving out of my old condo, and had a lot of crap I didn't want to see in my new place. After getting all the good stuff moved out, I called these guys to take care of the rest. Eder met me on a Friday at my old place to give a quote.
