This place was one of the best surprises of our entire vacation. We were not expecting to find such authentic, European-style gyros here in Orange Beach, but this spot absolutely delivered. It's honestly the closest thing we've had in the United States to what you get in Europe. The food quality is outstanding across the board. The flavors are fresh, well-balanced, and you can tell care goes into everything they make. The hand-cut fries are excellent and really set it apart from typical quick-service places. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable--one of the most affordable meals we've had during our stay in Orange Beach, especially considering the quality. The owner was friendly, positive, and easy to talk to, which made the experience even better. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The drive-through option is a huge bonus--super convenient to grab your food and head back to the hotel or campground. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great value, and a genuinely enjoyable experience. read more

Convenient if you going N on 59. Quick turn in and tight drive thru. Owner works the store so expect consistency in the food. Fries are the longer fries that keep their heat. A bit soft but flavorful. Gyro was stuffed full.. Meat is not thinly sliced so it takes a bit of chewing. Sauce is plentiful and lettuce, tomato,onion are fresh. We will be back. read more

We came for lunch last week and ate at the picnic bench in front of the restaurant. The food was good, but my gyro meat was just barely warm. The milkshake was almost like chocolate milk by the time we got it too, so just a couple little things that could have been better. We'll give it another shot soon since we're locals. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened, I love gyros and falafel, I got a chance to go through the drive thru and take some home, don't judge the pics based on if it's good or not, it spent 20 mins in a to go container. I had the falafel wrap with fries and both were so good! I don't get a chance to have falafel often and I'm excited this place is an option. This is locally owned and I love that. They have a patio to eat and small inside area. I will be back to support the local owners and I'll try the gyros next! read more

I am surprised by the high ratings! I was quite disappointed in the food and service. We got a take out and ordered falafel wrap and the Greek salad. The cashier was friendly and we got the food quickly. We were planning a picnic on the beach, however, we realized there was no silverware provided. The salad was sooo disappointing! Shredded iceberg, not romain, a few black olives, not kalamata, a few very thin shreds of onion, 2 quartered tomatoes and 4 slices of cucumber. The chicken was cut in 2 chunks, not sliced or diced (not sure how we would eat this without silverware!) and was super dry. Fries were unevenly fried, lacked salt. Falafel in the wrap was dense and did not have much flavor. Wish they have more options for flavorful sauces and sides. read more

The gyros were amazing! The best part of these was it was all lamb and not another meet with lamb. To often other places water the lamb down with other meats or just give you a lot of lettuce and just a little bit of meat. This was not the case. This was perfectly balanced. I love that I could get a gyro in a beach town! The gyro was packed full!! Lots of meat and toppings that tasted so good. Service was fast and friendly. Yeah you're limited in seating options, but I enjoyed sitting outside at one of the two tables. But what made this place the best...the FRIES!! Don't know what it is...the oil? The potatoes? The salt? Still don't know, but these are hands down, the best fries I've had in a very, very long time. No ketchup needed, no vinegar required. Just damn good fries! read more

A gracious 3 stars because the food was actually ok but underwhelming. The gyros was fresh, well portioned and fries were excellent. Think Five Guys!Not a good thing when your fries are better than your gyro. Would not consider this a "Greek kitchen" either but a sandwich shop because the menu is elementary at best. Can't get a side of falafel, or dolmas?!? The tzatziki was bland and basic. Have had better from Publix in a jar. Huge disappointment because I LOVE tzatziki!!! Cheese fries?!? Guys, this is a side of cheese not cheese fries but the over portioned fries makes up for the price, but you can do better. Cut the fries in half and overload the cheese. Maybe we caught this place on a bad night, but I'm really struggling to see why the reviews are so high. I was initially so happy to see another option aside from the standard Gulf Fare of every other restaurant and also happy to see that the reviews for this place were so high. That's about the peak of my expectations and things kinda go down hill from here. We ordered on a Tuesday night and got the philly, lamb/beef gyro, burgers, and two orders of chicken tenders. As I mentioned in previous reviews, it seems that the way many restaurants in the Gulf Shores "fill up" their plates is with tons of fries. Efe's Greek Kitche is no difference. We got an overabundance of fries with each entree- much more than we could ever dream to finish. For being a Greek restaurant, you assume that the gyro would be the star of the show. Sadly, for me, it was probably one of the least flavorful gyros I've ever had. The meat was dry and hard, needed more dressing, and overall didn't feel like a good value. The burger (you could tell) was probably a frozen patty warmed up along with the chicken tenders and fries. I felt like we overpaid for a meal full of frozen food that was quickly fried and served up. This was one meal that we all were disappointed in paying, enjoying, and eventually throwing away. I really hope we caught Efe's on an off night but based off of our experience, could not recommend them. read more

Don't understand how this place has so many good reviews. I ordered the Chicken pita and the chicken was horrible. Not a single piece of white meat and the little bit of chicken that was there was not worth eating. The fries were limp and tasted like they were thrown back in the fryer to reheat them. We stopped here on our way into town to grab lunch instead of the usu burger and chicken places. it is a small drive up restaurant with no inside seating, but there are several picnic tables on the property if you want to stay and eat there. It looked liked most folks ordered to go. We got the gyro platters which came with fries. The food was fresh, plentiful and served quickly. The meat was tender and had a great taste. The fries were cooked just right and seasoned well and there were plenty of them. We were full and satisfied. Would definitely recommend this place for a good meal. read more
