    Stuffed crab mushrooms
    Julie C.

The service was good. I can't say enough about that. We go here all the time as we are locals. And we love it here. I hate to leave a bad review but they did nothing. We decided to get a different appetizer as my husband wasn't that hungry and wanted the unlimited salad bar with an appetizer and so we picked the mushrooms. Well, they were hot on top but cold everywhere else. I had to spit mine out. I told the server and he said sorry. So I said well, I guess we will just take them home and warm them up then!!? Cause they were too cold to eat! And he said ok well I'll bring you something to take them home in. He did! Well, I left a note on the receipt that the mushrooms were terrible at the end also. And yes, I left a full tip. But those mushrooms I don't know why they were cold but don't order them. I love Wolf Bay just get something else!!

My group of 9 Grannies Gone Wild ate dinner here. It was AWESOME and Shannon was our server. He was the best! We all highly recommend this great place. And they have an awesome gift shop too!

My Thanksgiving platter and $3 mimosa!!

First time here for the Thanksgiving buffet. They knocked my socks off!!! I saw people saying to go here on social media, so I tried it, and I'm SO glad I did. It was a gaggle trying to get in the door-that's how many people know about this place. I would only change this for a busy time-allow people to text to get in line. People were all over the place waiting and the food was located as such as half the patrons had to walk through the gaggle to get to their seat. It was just me so I chose the open seating at the bar. My Lions were playing so I was in my glory-good food and football!! Just like when I was with my family over the years-a Detroit tradition! The food was OUTSTANDING!!!! Everything was seasoned to perfection and the turkey was moist!!! The dressing was prob my fav along with the candied sweet potatoes. I would have preferred a more traditional baked Mac n cheese, but they did a good substitution. Gravy and homemade mashed potatoes were good too! I don't eat beef or pork, so I cannot speak to the greens, black eyed peas or prime rib. The salad bar was fully stocked so I had some salad too, to get some veggies in, with my carb feast I missed the traditional peach cobbler and banana pudding but the strawberry parfait and the chocolate whatever were amazing. The service was outstanding too. Well done!!‍ can't wait to try the regular menu!!

    Shrimp and grits, fried flounder

We were seated quickly each time. 1st night for just two, second time later in the week we had 10. The wait staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We visit each time we come to the Foley and Gulf Shores area. Food is excellent. Love the little gift shop! My husband loves the salad bar. Every dish I've had and my friends have had has been wonderful. I have pictures of our last two visits: shrimp and grits, fried flounder, stuffed flounder.

Had a great early dinner here. Medium crowd on hand early. It was HH so I got a $3 whisky sour which was just ok. I ordered the AYCE mullet for $18 and added a $4 salad bar trip. My wife ordered fried shrimp and grilled fish with a salad bar side. The food came out on time after the salads and was piping hot. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Mine came with cheese grits and beans and she got a loaded baked potato. Our server, David, was right on top of things and very friendly as well. Our total with nice tip was $78 and we will return again to try more of the menu. Nice job WB.

The venue is nice, the service good, but the food was just okay. Located right on Canal Road, this spot sits in the building that used to house a favorite local breakfast joint before transitioning into this casual steak and seafood concept. The name BOLO actually stands for "Bear on the Lookout," which ties into their sister restaurant over at Bear Point Harbor. When you pull up, you will find plenty of easy, dedicated parking right out front. Inside, they have completely transformed the space into a cozy, casual vibe with dim lighting, rustic wood accents, comfortable booth seating, and a nice indoor bar area. Most reviews online have been generally solid, averaging around four stars, with folks usually praising the upscale atmosphere and friendly staff. The crowd favorites on the menu typically include their hand-cut ribeye steaks, the prime rib, broiled oysters, and their unique collard green grilled cheese small plate. I tried a wide variety of their offerings, the bread was just okay, coconut shrimp was very disappointing, the chopped salad was quite good, the wings were different and not bad but not great, my friend's prime rib steak sandwich was fair, but the fries were not good. Unfortunately my ribeye was average at best but that's where the underwhelming really hit home. The place was pretty empty, and it might because of the food, but the same folks that own this previously had an extra special breakfast spot here and I had my hopes that this would just special. I will go back again down the road and give them a try and hope that they improve their food.
