PLEASE NOTE: Although my primary home is in the Tacoma area, this posting is about our second home in Surprise, AZ. I wanted to do an widening of my backyard sliding glass door from 6 foot to 9 foot wide. I am new to the area, so didn't "know a guy", but stumbled across Joe and Efficient Home Pro. Joe came by and looked at the project and after talking to the window manufacturer, gave me a firm, fixed price for the project. Now this involved removal of the old slider (with unknown issues about how it was installed), a new laminate header beam, new slider, and fix the outside stucco and inside drywall like it was original. A complex project for sure. I had the pleasure of working from home (thank you COVID-19) while Joe and team did the project. I am pretty handy with home projects, so watched with interest as the team did their work. I have to say that I have never been so impressed! There were several points where key decisions had to be made and each were discussed, rationalized, and then acted upon. To tell a long story shorter, they executed this transformation flawlessly! But here is the best part. Not only did they do the hard stuff with precision, but they also did the small stuff perfectly. Every final opening was sealed with insulating foam, every piece of stucco was replaced and textured like it was new, and on the inside, it was impossible to tell that any work had been done (outside of paint). And even better, the work space was cleaner than when they arrived. Over the course of the project, I got the chance to talk to Joe about all his company can do, and I can say with confidence, that I now have a "Have a Guy". And for far more than just windows. Next step: Replace the AC unit. If you are interested in how real this posting is, please contact me.

My window job was small, (4 windows) but I am very pleased with the quality, professional workmanship, and overall install experience. Joseph and his crew were polite, knowledgeable, neat inside and outside my home. They were conscientious on all issues. I recommend this contractor!

They operate by the old but priceless adage of being easy to do business with. I even got the same sales rep to come to our home seven years after our first door was installed! I think that says a lot about the company. They did precisely what they said they were going to do and performed very professionally from start to finish. Each door, while adding security, is inviting and enhances the area. I made the right decision twice.

Although appointments are strongly suggested, we lucked out on a quiet morning and were greeted by Mark Reardon in the showroom. He walked us through the steps of selecting several styles of doors we liked and offered suggestions AND information about their doors! The quality is amazing. We needed HOA approval on the design and color, so Mark prepared a document with ALL the information required to secure approval, which came quickly. Mark came out to measure and the door was ordered. About 10 days later, our door was installed and it looks AMAZING! The installers were efficient, professional, tidy and did a great job explaining the best way to care for the door and to use it correctly. Our entire experience was professional and efficient. This morning, we were able to open our front AND back door for airflow, and feel secure and safe with a security door in front!. We were able to secure a few discounts by paying cash and taking advantage of some specials offered on their website . The store is worth every penny!

Enclosed Back Patio Quick background - We have had a…read morescreened-in patio since moving into our house in 1983. In 2001, we replaced much of the wood and installed a 28" slab wall. My wife fabricated the screens. The last improvement was made in 2011, when we had heavy screens fabricated with eyelets and attached them with cap screws. After all these years, we decided to make this a functional room year-round instead of Mar - May/Oct - Dec. As we know, it is always easier to build new than to reconstruct. It's a 200 sq. ft. space with good wood, foundation, etc. We went out for three quotes, including Desert King Windows, which we had replaced all our windows with back in 2010. They came in as the best price, but what was most appealing was how straightforward it all was. It was not a simple project. We required to not have any wood showing other than the very top. It was explained how they would foil wrap the beams and ledge. We were given options for the windows and doors with no price haggling. Since they were our last quote, we were satisfied to advise on the spot that we wanted them to do the project. Days later, Johnny came over for exact measurements, to engineer the project in terms of how many windows, which beams would be removed/moved, exactly how the foil would be placed and installed, and the like. A few days after that, the owner, Jayson, came by with Johnny and the sales rep, Don, to give a final look over and to make sure we were "all on the same page" before the order was submitted for fabrication. The project was scheduled for 6-8 weeks, which occurred. It was expected to take three days, but the crew led by Jose finished it up in two long days. My wife, who has had a complete bathroom remodel redone, was extremely happy (this was her ideal and project), which is telling. I have attached before (after the screens were removed) and after pics, which show the transformation. Oh - and to be able to use this year-round - we added a mini split, and thus far, with the type of windows and doors, it hardly needs to run to keep it cool. Yes, we still have the real summer to evaluate it out.

I was satisfied with the work.not happy with the debris and left over materials from the job, left for me to clean . Some large, heavy siding and trim pieces were hidden behind my fence. I had to drag them 70ft, to the front of my house and put them along the pile of debris that Mathew wanted to put in my trash can, but I didn't want left over debris in my trash can, it is not a dumpster!! I texted Mathew right after he left. Told him I asked him to take the debris away. Did not hear back from him ,this morning Monday March 16th, 6.30am, I left a message to pick up the debris from my house by 12pm, Mathew responded I never said I would haul off the left over material, said he cleaned up to the best of his ability, plus if he did haul away the material and debris , there would be a $75.00 charge. I am 83yeas old, all I wanted was a professional job , at a reasonable price . And to be treated with honesty and respect ! I don't think that is asking for too much . At the end of the day I still have this job debris on my side yard , that I have to get rid of . And the cost of having that done ! Does not make me feel good! This was not a good experience by any stretch of the imagination,

We bought a prefabricated gazebo from Sam's Club and couldn't finish due to the summer being so bad, so once it was cool enough we started looking for someone to finish it because we lost the motivation to finish it ourselves LOL. Dean was able to finish it in about 7 hours BY HIMSELF which shocked us because we had 4 people put the frame together over 2 days. He was reasonably priced per hour compared to others who's whole business is to put pre-fabs together, yet wanted to charge their full price for BS reasons they claimed as potential "quality" or "liability" issues when half of the job was already put together. We'll be keeping him in our contacts for future projects!

He was very responsive, and came out within the week to take detailed measurements and clarify exactly what I wanted it to look like. He consulted me on ordering all the major materials, making sure the style was correct and price was acceptable. When he came out for the install, he was on time, extremely thorough, and able to quickly adapt and work with a few surprises encountered when starting to frame the door. I was extremely happy with the end result, and brought Dean back out to help with a few other small projects around the house. It's tough to find reliable and talented people you can trust with home projects, and I would highly recommend Dean to anyone looking to get some projects done!

UPDATED Review: The…read moreteam reached out to me previously and offered to fix the issues. In our conversation, Rubi assured me that they will fix whatever is wrong with the project. I was hesitant because she said that one day would be enough to do it. When Gilbert arrived, he was by himself (unlike previously when he had an assistant) and said he would take care of the issues. I asked him if he can sand and stain the areas instead of painting in one day and he said it would take more than a day to do that. Given other circumstances, I really needed to reclaim the room that was being worked on and more than a couple of days of renos is something I couldn't do anymore. So I reached a compromise of him smoothing out some of the surfaces and painting instead of staining. Not what I wanted 100% but it is growing on me. I want to highlight that Rubi and Gilbert are genuinely nice people that would be willing to work with you regarding your project. Generally speaking, closing the loop in communication probably would have prevented mishaps. I can't give the 5 stars just because it is not what I had envisioned, but had the circumstances had been different and I had the ability to give their team more time to do exactly what I wanted, I truly believe they would have delivered a 5-star service. Thank you.
