when my 30 y.o. dome skylites began leaking in 4/2024,i hired freelite inc. to replace them.in 10/2025 the new skylites leaked staining the ceiling and rug below. both the owner and installer insisted it was my roof. they tried to upsell me rather than stand behind their under warranty product. the condensation was between the 2 plastic dome layers. 3 months later installer tony arrived to install the new ones. he was hostile, extremely rude refusing to even talk to me. i asked him to leave and leave the skylites behind uninstalled. They are not a reputable company. read more

This is one of the few companies I did not have ANY problems with during my construction in the middle of all this CoVid crazyness. They showed up when they said they would. Communicated when shipping delays happened by supplier. Finished on schedule, accommodating for changes due to living in a historical home, and professional. All workers wore mask as I am immune suppressed and were respectful of my health concerns. Great quality product and half the price of the other bid. They corrected their own mistakes without charging me for them. Hired windows cleaners for free and reinstalled the blinds. This is my second project with them and both went well. read more

I would avoid this business at all costs. My experience consisted of the following: - The salesperson, Tom, lied about the order deadline and delivery time. He said that if I placed my order on a Monday or Tuesday they would have my three windows by the following Monday or Tuesday. The order was placed midday Tuesday. Tom emailed a week later, when I was expecting to receive the windows, saying that I had not supplied payment for the deposit by the deadline. He first lied saying the deposit was paid a day later than it actually was. I told him to check the dates on our email thread, at which point he said he was new and didn't know when the manufacturer's deadline was. Not until I repeatedly expressed my dissatisfaction was any type of apology provided. The result was that my order would not arrive until the following Thursday, so it went from a week for delivery to three weeks. - The rep from the window manufacturer contacted me later to inform me that the order had arrived, but Tom had placed it for the wrong windows. This resulted in a new order having to be placed, which of course delayed delivery another week. - I was under the impression that I was paying a 50% deposit, and that the remainder would be collected upon delivery of the order. I was actually charged the full amount AND the salesperson Tom failed to add tax to the original quote. Calculating tax and adding it to a quote seems pretty elementary, and it's fundamental in managing customer expectations. This is apparently not practiced at Freelite, though. Perhaps they have just one dishonest and incompetent salesperson. Regardless, these types of business practices should absolutely not be supported. Will never do business with them again and, of course, would never recommend them. read more

I recently purchased my first vacation home in Scottsdale that needed a little TLC and being brand new to the area and out-of-state, I was nervous and stressed having to shop around locally to find out how to update about a dozen windows and sliding doors since it is easy to be taken advantage of when you clearly don't know anything. After calling around to get some quotes and advice since I know nothing about windows and glass, the reps at Freelite were the only ones that were genuine and patient with me by being willing to help me through my dumb questions and even go out of their way to educate me based on what would work best for my specific home and style, all while actually giving me the most competitive price around! I worked with Tony who I couldn't recommend enough. It's clear he takes pride in his work and provides a great service making sure you are 110% happy. We had about 10 windows replaced and 2 sliding glass doors and they were able to complete it faster than expected and with great communication and coordination, and no surprise hidden costs or any bs at the end. I called for a quote on a skylight. Right on their website it say free estimates for skylight replacement. I was told on a phone 60.00 fee. I said it is free on your website. If you change the rules change your website. Then I was told I am mistaken that is for windows. Well not it wasn't. I have done business with you in the past . Not anymore. Keep your estimated because you are problematic just too expensive and that is why you now need to charge for free estimates. read more

Fantastic experience from start to finish! We replaced ALL of our windows and added a few new ones. Josh came out to do the estimate. He was on time and very helpful. There weren't any high-pressure sales tactics (like I experienced with the other two estimates I got from different companies). I went with Freelite because of the honest dealings with Josh. Guy and Matt came out to double-check measurements and were like a well-oiled machine. You could tell these guys had been in the business a long time. Window installation went really smoothly (for an old house). Guy and Matt were able to make on-site adjustments. They were very professional, worked their tails off and cleaned up after their work. We had Home Story come out to give us an estimate on replacing 2 sets of closet doors. We wanted the white wood framed mirrored kind. The estimate was approx. $2100 for 2 sets of doors. We emailed the installer the next day to ask if we could get a discount if we did 6 sets. Never heard back. We drove to the Phoenix showroom to see the doors in person and asked the same question. He promised to get back to us. So far it has been 2 weeks with no answer. Meanwhile we found we can order the same doors from Home Depot for $275 per set--and the Home Depot mirrors are beveled! The Home Story doors are not. Apparently they did not need our business. read more

Freelite does holes filled with glass in all manner possible. After my parents had their windows done, I decided to look at the two companies they had been to, and while the other company didn't call me back, Freelite did and was on time to almost every appointment except for one, where the gentleman called ahead 20 minutes before to let me know he was going to be 10 minutes late. Things can always go wrong but communication is amazing! The windows are now installed and they look amazing, keep out the dust and elements, and are starting to open better now that they're getting worn in (1 week). The installers themselves were very careful to not leave a mess or damage my new floors. They blanketed my house with plastic and carefully carried everything where they needed it, and when they left, there was no mess. All I had to do was a little bit of repainting which was mentioned to me ahead of the quote signing. Finally, although fortunately nothing went wrong, they graciously provided proof that they are licensed, bonded, insured, and installers are worker's comp covered. The ONLY downside is that I had some trouble getting my quote back via e-mail, but they were apparently having problems with their computer systems. Regardless, the end result was worth it as all 15 of my questions and concerns were answered and the quote was accurate and the product is fantastic! read more

Freelite does excellent work. Chip came out to look at my three skylights, all about 35 years old, and explained clearly and carefully what needed to be done to replace them and what my options were. What's great is not just that the prices were competitive with other companies. Rather, from the initial consultation to the installation to the follow-up with paint and drywall they were on time and explained everything clearly and effectively. Best of all, they did a really meticulous job. It also involved some drywall repair and paint in a very sunny north-facing Arizona room. Even small blemishes in this room are easily seen. There were none! And their painter - a shout out to Joe Lopez! - was so good that I hired him to do two other rooms that really need new paint. He is very, very good - a good communicator and extremely clean and courteous. In all, I am very, very pleased with my new skylights. We had them installed a year ago and there have been no problems of any kind. And it made such a difference in my AZ room that I decided it was time to remodel the kitchen. My husband and I have used Freelite services for several projects in our home including skylights, total replacement of all our windows and exterior doors, including a decorative front door, plus specialty indoor room doors and closet doors. Every project was completed on time and in the manner expected. We have referred several of our neighbors to Freelite and have heard great comments from them after also using Freelite for windows and doors. Chip Marvin is easy to work with and has good ideas when asked. All the workmen did a great job and were clean and presentable plus they left our home in great condition when the work was finished. Where to begin. We ordered an above average priced interior door that included glass panels on both sides and top on February 3, 2014. One half payment was made on February 15 with an order time of 4 to 6 weeks. When the installers arrived during the first week of April, the door was hinged on the wrong side. Gee, it will be another 4 weeks. I then got an e-mail from Chip (I never received a telephone call from Chip during the entire process only cryptic e-mails). We were then e-mailed and told that the new parts were damaged and we would have to wait another 4 weeks. When I said 'Geeez, ok' in an e-mail back to Chip, I got a call from the door manufacture, not Chip saying that they were sorry about the problems. Finally, after waiting over 11 weeks, the door was finally installed. Still no call from Chip to see if the installers did a nice job or was the job satisfactory. Within one day, we received the bill for the second half... no note or call of thanks or apology for the delay and not even a gift certificate for a burger. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
