They came being very professional and took the door out and realized that the door cannot be fixed the way we wanted because it weight over 70 lbs. to make the long story short Justin and Carlos stayed for a few hours and engineered a great solution to make sure the door will function correctly and safely. My initial contact with and impression of Craig was favorable. He told me about trip to Cabo he was taking with family a year ago. The window presentation was good. However, after the installation of the windows was completed in June '24 and payment was completed, we started having a recurring issue with the front window. As shown in the photo a piece of trim pulled away from the window creating and unsightly gap. In response to my call, Kris came out to fix it. Some time passed, and the issue occurred again, same window. Kris came back out to fix it but it took repeated text and email messages to get them to fix the issue which was an annoyance. As I'm writing this review, the window trim has come loose yet again (the attached photo was taken 3/28/25). I don't install windows but if the same adhesive is being used, that adhesive has proven itself to be ineffective. I'm now seeing this issue with other windows. If they make adhesives strong enough to attach ceramic tiles to the space shuttle to withstand re-entry temperatures, then there should an adhesive sufficient to permanently bond the trim strips. We can send unmanned vehicles to Mars but we can't fix windows? Really? Perhaps they don't value warranty work as much as new sales. Or perhaps they prioritize responsiveness by the race of their customers and as a result I'm lower on the totem pole. Should they respond to fix the issues (depending on the nature of the response), I'll revise the review accordingly. read more

I already deleted communication from rep and can't remember his name. Wish I could. Maybe Craig. As he's leaving he said he was owner. This was December 10th last year. He came to do estimate for installation of door, in garage to side yard, where there isn't currently one. He did some measurements, looked around, talked like no problem doing the job. I don't remember numbers so don't think he said anything about costs. Things have faded being over a month ago. I asked about permits and need for light fixture outside door, because a previous company rep had told me they were necessary. This guy said they could get permits but not really needed. I asked about having a solar exterior light fixture and he says that would be ok. I got uneasy feeling he wasn't doing proper practice for permits on construction projects. I called the city and the first guy was totally correct, a permit is needed because it's changing the original structure and a hardwired light fixture has to be outside door too. First guy also told me I'd have to put pavers or other solid material outside door to step out on. This guy didn't mention that at all. So he either didn't know yes you Must have permits, which in his business you'd think he should, and also the step outside, or he was not conducting proper business practices. When he leaves he said he'd send an email with quote by end of day. I never got one. The following week I emailed him and was a day or two I got a reply, he was checking on something and would get back to me. I replied back to ask again about permits and light fixture. Here it is January 15th and I've not gotten another email, a text nor a call. Nothing at all. I've deleted numbers and communication. Guess they don't want my business and I truly don't want to do business with them. I'd rather pay the first company more and have everything done legit and proper. That first guy left me with a written quote on a business form. He also called me the next week as he said he would to follow up on my decision making. That's good business. This Vision Works, windows, doors, whatever guy........ needs lessons. read more

I got a recommendation to call Discount windows and Doors about an 8'x8' sliding glass door replacement. I am having trouble when it is wind driven rain and somehow water is seeping inside around the ends of the door. Craig came out and easily could have said that I need to replace it. Instead he examined and attempted to seal all of the places that the water could get in. I can't say enough good things about this company! They were the 6th company I called (I never get that many quotes for a job) because I just couldn't get on board with the other companies. Thank goodness I didn't give up and tried one last company. They're extremely responsive, kind, patient, and knowledgeable and offer great prices for their products, definitely not inflated like several of the other companies I talked to and the doors were ready to install in less than 4 weeks after ordering. They are not hard sellers but will any questions you have and offer advice if needed. They replaced 2 sets of very old French doors (one set included a sidelight) in my condo and I could not be happier. They also replaced door sweeps and weatherstripping on two other doors as well as fixed a sticky patio door just because Craig noticed it sticking as he opened it. If you live in AZ you know how brutal the sun can be...the previous owner did nothing to protect an exterior door that is in direct sunlight all day. I called several replacement companies and Craig was by far the most knowledgeable. Took time to thoroughly explain options and provided our quote. Our security screen door needed to be removed for the installation and then replaced. We had the door, jamb and frame replaced. Install took a few hours longer than thought due to the removing and replacing of the screen door but I was charged only what was quoted.
