WINDOW PANE REPLACEMENT: We needed a large thermal window pane in our dining area replaced. Due to age, the window's gas seals leaked, and this caused the window to fog and to distort views to the backyard. OUR PICK: We called three glass companies and received three competitive estimates. We narrowed the choice to Dependable Glass in North Phoenix, for five reasons: 1. 4.9 Google rating; 2. 4.6 Yelp rating; 3. The professional and pleasant way they answered their phone; 4. They took adequate time to answer our questions about their products and services; 5. We were not rushed to make a purchase decision. THE ESTIMATOR: Dependable Glass sent John, the estimator, to our home to measure the subject window pane. He was on time, very friendly, spoke clearly, and answered all our questions without hesitation. Additionally, he assured us the installation would be performed only by Dependable Glass employees (not third-party installers). He also said the quality of work by the window installers would be A+ and come with guaranteed customer satisfaction. We received an all-inclusive price estimate that was straightforward and easy-to-read. Dependable Glass estimator guaranteed the price would not fluctuate before or during the window pane installation (no upselling). THE OFFICE: A few weeks after making a deposit, the replacement pane was delivered to Dependable Glass from the manufacturer. After that, I received a call from "MICHELLE" to select an installation date. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks before her call, my elderly wife suffered a severe in-home fall that required surgery and a hospital stay of nearly 30 days. I asked Michelle if it was possible to delay the installation until after my wife arrived home. To my pleasant surprise, Michelle said Dependable Glass would be happy to delay the installation for a month, or until we were ready. (That is GREAT service!) She verbalized her compassion about the falling accident, and that REALLY HELPED me during a difficult time. As promised, Michelle called back in 30 days to see if we were ready to book an installation date, and we were. THE INSTALLERS: The installers - James and Ethan - arrived on time, and they were well-prepared with all the required tools and components. They were one of the most pleasant installation teams I have every encountered. They were polite, respectful of the property, and they took the time to answer a few pre- and post-installation questions. James and Ethan went the "extra mile" with a special request. I wanted the large wooden Venetian blinds covering the subject window to be permanently removed before the new window pane was installed (I was unable to remove the heavy blinds due to physical disability). Without hesitation, James and Ethan completely removed the blinds for me (thank you!). After the pane was installed, the two gentlemen removed all stickers and washed the inside and outside glass to a beautiful shine. Wow! What a difference it makes to look at the backyard through clear, quality glass. WOULD WE USE DEPENDABLE GLASS AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM? Absolutely YES! We were very impressed with the entire process from start to finish. Everyone we spoke with at the company was pleasant and eager to provide us with excellent products and services. Everyone conveyed a feeling of "trust," which placed us at ease. Therefore, after today's installation, we had another large fogged-up window measured for replacement. On October 1, 2025, Steve came out to my house to confirm measurements for two showers. He did not have the measurement or any of the information that was sent to me in the bid. My wife ask Steve about the stability of the glass for cleaning purposes and his response to her was "not to have sex in the shower." My wife was uncomfortable with this response and I am furious!! I called the company and someone named John, who said he was the owner called me back. Prior to John calling me back, I asked the receptionist if Steve was a tenured employee. She confirmed he was. When I spoke to John his verbatim statement to me, as he chuckled, was "he was sorry Steve did a bad job reading the room." Needless to say, he did not, in anyway, show remorse for his employees distasteful and sexist behavior! Why he thought it was a laughing matter is beyond me! I am not sure what room John thinks it's appropriate for his employee to discuss sex with another man's wife but beware that this behavior is not frowned upon but a laughing matter to Dependable Glass ownership. If you are looking for a company that is going to send a man to your home who wants to discuss sex with your wife and where she should/shouldn't have it, Dependable Glass is right for you. I am baffled by this companies sexist behavior and lack of willingness to see the issue in their behavior! It's evident, management does not care about how their employees conduct themselves in the field. This companies behavior is disgusting and I would strongly encourage others to select another company, especially those who value your spouse! read more

Unfortunately, they are not so dependable in my case. Got a quote from his company to replace some smaller roller windows for my 14th floor condo. After 10 days, I finally was able to reach someone at the office to find out they're refusing the job as they are no longer doing work at my building. I asked if anyone was ever gonna call to let me know this. I asked why somebody would've told me that from the very beginning as I referenced what building I'm in and that I'm on the 14th floor in every conversation. They did reference the flu going around the office, but they don't seem very organized and at this point I've wasted 3 weeks waiting for nothing. Very frustrating! Update - Owners responds seems to blame me for not knowing their schedule and that they were doing me a favor by not charging for their free estimate. I get people get sick and yes there are holidays, but every time I spoke to your company I referenced which building this was as it's not like Phoenix has a bunch of high rises. BTW - A more sincere apology and some accountability from the ownership is all that was needed to turn my experience around. Was trying to arrange window repairs and have screens built, but have a tricky set of circumstances I needed help with - booking the work from another state. As I was trying to work with them to solve a scheduling error, she just kept interrupting me and not allowing me to explain what I thought was important information. We bought the door on homedepot.com and even had a tough time finding a Home Depot installer to install the door. When we did find one he was significantly overpriced. When the installers arrived to our house, it was even MORE clear how difficult this door would be to install. He took an hour out of his day to read the instructions on the door and make sure they would have everything that was needed for a successful install. He also warned us that putting this shower door onto glass tile had a HIGH rate of breakage and was able to install without breaking a tile PHEW! The installers also cautioned that over time the weight of the door could possibly still create breakage (which it did) but just barely enough to notice. I 100% appreciate the heads up and honesty as it gave us a good idea of what to expect. THE ONE bad thing was that when my husband called to book, he gave the company all of the info including the shower door model number and that we had glass tiles. However, this information was not passed onto the installers and clearly not enough time was allotted for the install. They were given a 1-hour window for a 3-hour project. Unfortunately, my husband took the day off work to be present for the install, which isn't the easiest to do, so it was a waste of PTO for nothing. Luckily, his off Friday was later on that week and we were able to reschedule for that day, but had it not lined up like that we would have had to reschedule for 2 weeks out. If I were to use them again, I would make sure this information was passed into the installers. It was an adventure in dental surgery to find a glass company in Phoenix to measure and provide four panels to fit my kitchen cabinet doors. Either the job was too small, the people were too busy, out to lunch, will call ya back, working on a bigger job, or they prefer broken auto glass because more $$ can be made. I called them up, was able to come in, the gentleman took the precise measurements straight away (no hard sales nonsense) and I agreed, we ordered the panels and VOILA they arrived days later and we went to pickup. They even helped me out when I needed to have a friend pick up the panels. While I did not use the service they also offered to glue the panes into the door panels. The prices were EXTREMELY reasonable. Steven is great. Arrived on time, very professional. We had two shower doors installed- one stand up shower with a swinging door, one sliding door for a tub/shower combo. I'm obsessed with the swinging shower door. It is perfect- exactly what we asked for. The tub slider is okay. I give them lots of credit for fitting it- the tile wasn't straight and they were able to install it just right. The only reason they lost a star is because the door isn't stable on the track and rattles. We have other shower door sliders that don't do that. I checked our other sliders and a long piece of rubber was placed along the track to reduce that rattle. That wasn't done with other shower door. They did come out and try to correct it with a 4 in piece but it wasn't going to do the trick. Overall, I do recommend them. read more

Last week, the knob to close and open the door broke and my handyman husband tried to fix it and in the bargain messed up. The latch for the door fell in the middle of the frame of door. I would not recommend this company. They scheduled someone to come quote us on two windows that needed repair. One window was cracked and had been tinted. The service guy told us they cannot guarantee they can do the same tint if the window is replaced which was fine with us. He cut a nice chunk of the tint to take back and match up. I had not heard back from this company in over a week so when I called they said they were really behind and we should have a quote within the next couple of days. When we finally got the quote and it specified that by replacing the glass and having it tinted would void the manufacturer's warranty? I then called to inquire about the note on the quote and was told the company had made a decision in the past week to not offer tinting anymore. GREAT, I told the girl now I have a piece of tint missing which actually should not have been taken until we decided to go with Dependable Glass. She recommended not to re-tint the broken window as we would start see discoloration etc. But she would have her manager call regarding our dissatisfaction with the missing tint and their decision to now not offer tinting at all. This was a 2 part job. It wa a piece of furniture that had an odd design and wasn't a circle, square or rectangle surface. First, Elvis came to measure the top and a week later, Rick and Elvis came to deliver and place the glass on the furniture. They made sure the surface was clean before placing the glass on top. Then they cleaned the glass. The glass fitted the odd shape perfectly. The entire experience was very professional starting with Michelle and then with Elvis and Rick. It wasn't totally smooth sailing, there were issues with the supplier around the holidays and our CC got run twice. Stuff happens, that's life/business. What matters is how it's handled. Let me start by saying that I messaged 7 different glass companies on Yelp about some damage done to our window framing. Stephen immediately replied and I sent him some pictures. It was the weekend, so we set an appointment that Monday for later in the week. In the meantime, I sent the same photos to a few other companies who responded and each and every one of them said we would have to replace the window. Funny, because Stephen's guy came out a week later and fixed both windows in a few minutes for about $120. Steven even offered for us to pick up the product for $15 a sheet, if we wanted to install it ourselves. Moral of the story. There are criminals everywhere. When we moved into our home the owners before us had windows installed incorrectly and the window in my daughters bedroom leaked every time it rained. I called Dependable Glass and they were awesome, they first came out to reseal the window to stop the leak. It stopped the leak but then a smell came the next time it rained, so we called them back out. James suggested that we put in a new weep hole because the window was sagging in the middle and collecting water. While he put in the weep hole he took the liberty of measuring the window "just in case this didn't work and I wanted to replace it" so they would have the measurements on hand and he wouldn't have to come back out just to measure. I really appreciated that! The weep hole kind of worked but it the smell remained when it rained so we decided to have it replaced. Since James already did the measurements it was a smooth and easy process to call and order the window. On the day of install because of COVID I had asked if they would please wear masks. They were happy too! James and Johnny were AWESOME! They made a great team, they cleaned up everything and the window looked great when it was done! When I need to have more windows replaced I will absolutely call Dependable Glass. Their process is seamless and they have wonderful, respectful and kind people working there. They Guys just came out and Finished installing Mirrors across the wall being used for a Gym and Dance Studio as well as installing the Frame-less shower. We ordered the Rain Pattern as well as having the EuroShield Treatment. They did a great Job. They were prompt, and cleaned up after their work. I would highly recommend them. The only issue, but I wouldn't call it that is the shower hooks did not arrive the same time as the other parts. They said will come back and install those once they come in. With all of the other positive installations, I'm sure they will be prompt on that as well. We are inquiring for them to install sliding glass doors as well since the great job they did for us today. read more
