I have now consulted with 20 plastic surgeons. I have tried almost everything - acupuncture. LLLT stands for low-level laser therapy, massage, nerve pills, etc. Two different NYC surgeons performed the two major surgeries. Each surgery helped somewhat; however, it was not enough as I am still in search of relief. The nightmare continues as my bank account dwindles. I would trade my discomfort for a visible scar running across my face. Please learn from my mistake, and let me say it is better to feel good than to look good. From what I understand, Dr. Jacono is under investigation by the Office of Professional Conduct. No surprise here.

I met Dr. Ciardullo back in 2003 when I made an appointment to see him for a breast augmentation consultation. This was going to be the first big surgery I'd ever have and I was nervous about the appointment so I brought my mom with me. During the visit he made us feel very comfortable, explaining the whole process from start to finish, pre-op, post- op etc. He listened to our concerns and spent the visit answering all of our questions without rushing. After going over the details of the procedure, he gave us a tour of his operating suite (which I felt was more of a comforting setting as opposed to being in a large hospital). After the visit my mother and I decided this was the doc for us! We booked the appointment and came in a few weeks later for the procedure. I was very nervous the morning I went in but he reassured me everything would go smoothly (and it did!). The anesthesiologist and nurses who took care of me were all very sweet - in fact, the anesthesiologist, nurses and front staff that were present for my breast augmentation over 10 years ago were also there for my rhinoplasty last month! Since having my first surgery in 2003, I have gone to him for every procedure I've had (including a chin implant, fillers and botox). I have referred friends and family who have also had rhinoplasties, breast augmentations and abdominoplasties (tummy tuck). He then submitted a bill for over $6,000 to the Insurance Company. He accepted their payment of $700, which is more in line with what he deserved. I understand that this behavior isn't unique to Dr Beran, and that many doctors and hospitals are guilty of the same thing, which is a a major factor contributing to the out of control medical system in this country, I find this type of billing to be reprehensible, and can't help wondering what do people do who don't have insurance! I hope to never have to deal with Dr Beran again.

Everything is managed with precision; there is neither rushing nor unnecessary conversation among the staff. Each step of my visit was clearly explained, and the final instructions were not just handed to me on a written sheet but reviewed with me word for word.
