Salivating just looking at this photo, oh my gosh, I want to go back already.

I can't even BEGIN to describe my masterpiece of a pasta. I got the truffle lemache pasta. The parmesan cream was incredibly rich and believe it or not, creamy. The truffle on top added so much flavor to the pasta, I didn't even mind that my breath will smell like truffle for the next couple hours. The woman who took my order was so kind and patient with my indecisiveness, she even helped us pronounce the name of the pasta, as I was clearly struggling... The look on the inside of the restaurant is really nice while also being casual. We loved playing the arcade games they had, I sadly am very bad at Street Fighter II so I didn't get very far there. But other than my horrible video game skills, I had an amazing experience!!!

Food has been consistently delicious. I have dietary restrictions and Egg and Flour is one of the few places where I can enjoy a meal as is. Their sundried tomato Campanelle pasta is my go to. I add baked chicken which is actually a generous portion of protein on the side. It's enough to split into 2 dishes which is a great deal for an add-on. Their truffle pasta is also deliciously creamy. I definitely recommend trying Egg and Flour for a fresh and quick pasta meal.

We've been here a few times. I can't believe I haven't added a review yet because we love this place. The food & service are always excellent. The cream sauce on bucatini is out of this world. One of the best I have had. If you enjoy some quality people watching, grab a seat by the large front windows.

Service and food were amazing! The staff is super personable and full of hospitality, coming from someone visiting from Texas! The food was excellent! Best Italian food I've had in a while and the ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasant and refreshing! Definitely recommend!

I've been here before but it's been a minute. I ordered ahead to pick up. Food was ready fast and as always delicious quality ingredients. We got the bolognese, truffle lemache, and the pesto. Of course we got the garlic bread with side of garlic butter. Tasty! The bolognese had a whole garlic clove in it with we honestly thought was fantastic! Staff at pick up were friendly and quick!

We ordered Egg and Flour to go on a Friday night and it was absolute perfection. The order was timed, hot and ready for us at pickup and packed with all the essentials we needed. The food was outstanding. Large servings, fresh tasting, and well-seasoned. Whether you eat in or take out, this place matches quality. Of course I'll be back to my neighborhood pasta joint! Yum!

The food was amazing. Cozy spot with great music and atmosphere. The bread and burrata starter was outstanding. Prices are very affordable.

I have been a very part-time resident of Milwaukee for several years. I finally relocated here full-time and decided to try Egg & Flour Pasta Bar for lunch today. I ordered fresh bread, a small Caesar salad, and Wisconsin mac & cheese with grilled chicken. The portions were huge and the food was delicious. I'll be back!

Egg & Flour is a great spot right in the heart of Bay View. Everything my dining companion and I ordered was good. The Mac n' Cheese is probably some of the best I've ever had, and $14 felt reasonable to me. The burrata and bread was great, too, but at $12 a little overpriced in my opinion. My dining companion went with the Wild Mushroom Tortellini, the special of the day. It was good, but didn't blow us away. At $20 it was also a bit too pricey. When we arrived, we were surprised to see that you order at the counter and then go retrieve the food when it's ready. If I'm being honest, Egg & Flour is like a slightly elevated, more expensive Noodles & Company. Will I be returning? Absolutely. The food was solid. But I just need to mentally prepare myself to spend about $60 for two people at a fast-casual restaurant.

Omg this place so delicious My first time was November 21, 2025 and let me tell you this will not be my last time. The Caesar salad was Amazing ( the best I ever had) The pasta was so good. Next I hope I can mix sauce (I like my sauce with noodles not noodles and sauce) lol but I would return 10/10 taste quantity of food 8.5/10 price of food $32 (pasta with meatballs and salad ) 9/10 cleanliness 10/10 customer service (was welcome and he made sure I got extra sauce thank you again sir)

Egg and Flour is a pasta bar that offers breads, sandwiches, salads, and a wide variety of pasta dishes to choose from. You can add on a protein to any of the dishes for additional charge. The restaurant itself has a very casual vibe where you walk up to order but also has indoor seating options and/or take out. We ordered takeout so didn't interact with staff much but we tried a cheese-based pasta and tomato-based pasta. The serving of pasta you receive is definitely worth the money. I thought the Caesar salad had pretty good flavor. The rigatoni was nothing fancy -- pretty simple/light, but it had a decent flavor to it. I would recommend adding meatballs to it because those were delicious and filling! The Shells dish was super rich and flavorful - especially if adding crispy chicken to it. I'm definitely interested to go back and try some other dishes. Would recommend if you're in the mood for pasta/Italian food and looking for a good bang for your buck meal.

One of my Facebook friends posted about the Egg & Flour Pasta Bar, so I followed along for a year or so and then I finally got my chance to visit. All the pics look so good, so it was perfect when we decided to share three pasta entrees between my family. The pasta is made fresh daily and the meals are made to order, it's delicious and fresh! We sampled The Adam, Carbonara and Rigatoni. We can't wait to go back!

Upon the walk up, the patio transports you somewhere else. The interior is beautifully designed (loved the local artwork on the walls). The staff was phenomenal- from the hostess to our server (shoutout to Mars)! The food was amazing! I started with the bruschetta and I haven't had any this good since a certain Bayshore restaurant went out of business in 2019. In general I'm a huge fan of Benson's restaurants, especially when branzino is on the menu and Onesto's is the best I've had from their group! Drinks...between my friend and I, we probably had every spritz on the menu, in addition to a few others! Onesto is a must try and I will be back (many times), to make up for lost time!

Came here on a date, and we ordered classic dishes that we love like the carbonara and bolognese pasta dishes. I tried both dishes and the carbonara was my favorite of the two, but honestly, both were not the best pasta dishes I've had at a restaurant - they were okay. We did get bread and salted butter and ordered a cup of creamy clam soup - which was delicious. I would consider the bread, soup, and cocktails the highlight of the meal. The service was great! We had a very attentive server that frequently checked in on our table and answered all of our questions. The dining area is absolutely beautiful and well lit - creating a relaxing and romantic atmosphere for our date night. While the pasta wasn't our favorite, the dining experience was still wonderful and we enjoyed the appetizers/small plates.

This is such a quaint and romantic pasta shop! What makes this restaurant so interesting and unique…read moreis that on their menu, they write in all caps: "All items subject to change without notice." I do hope that their pistachio pasta and veal dish don't go away. For starters, I ordered the Seasonal Bruschetta, which had citrusy notes from the diced tomatoes and pickles with mortadella. For the main course, I ordered the Giovanni's Original Veal Parmesan with fettuccine alfredo. This dish is prepared in the style of Parmesan or Corletta served with your choice of pasta. The veal parmesan was nice and crispy. But the most memorable dish of the night was their Fusilloni al Pistachio. The creamy pistachio pesto, Guanciale, and Brontë pistacho panna crudo brought this dish together so well! I loved the sauce so much that I ended up pouring the sauce all over the fettuccini alfredo. Staff was very attentive and friendly--striking the perfect balance between being available when needed and allowing me to enjoy my meal at my own pace. I ended the night with a classic cheesecake, which was the perfect way to end the night.

My Papa Gio's Old Fashioned was outstanding. The additional Cynar amaro is a stroke of genius. For starters, we ordered the Fried Eggplant (Melanzane Fritte), which was probably the best we have ever had. It arrived piping hot, and the breading was fried to perfection. The eggplant itself was mild, with no hint of bitterness. The accompanying marinara sauce was thick and flavorful. For entrées, we ordered Gio's Stuffed Filet and the Chicken Parmesan. The filet was cooked perfectly to medium-rare and was delicious. The Chicken Parmesan was a huge portion. There were literally three chicken breasts, each with well-seasoned breading and fried to a beautiful golden crispness. It was excellent. We had plenty of leftovers and enjoyed several more meals at home. (The eggplant reheats especially well in an air fryer.) Service: We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated right away. We let our server know that we had a performance to attend and were assured that we would be out with plenty of time to spare. For the vast majority of the evening, the service was great. Unfortunately, things changed toward the end of the meal. We literally could not find our server, and we suspect they may have also been handling a party upstairs. Since we needed to leave, we had the host help us get our bill paid. Feeling rushed at the end of the meal took a bit of the polish off an otherwise excellent experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is small and has an authentic feel to it. The photos and décor make you feel as though you're dining in a typical European restaurant. The tables are close together, and it was a bit noisy at times. Overall, we had a very good experience. I can't say enough about the drinks and food. I just wish the service had been more consistent throughout the evening. We are looking forward to our next meal there.

June 2026 lunch review: We had family visiting from Chicago and so I made a reservation for 5 at noon on a Monday at Lupi & Iris, this was my first time having lunch here. Parking was easy (metered street parking) and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server was wonderful and our guests loved the ambiance, service, and enjoyed their quiche and hamburger. The cocktails were refreshing and the lunch course is a good deal and a great way to sample 2 or 3 different courses. I had the soup, chicken, and olive oil cake. I liked the flavors and texture but I thought my soup and chicken were overly salty. My husband ordered the Jamon sandwich and said it was "a joke". He said there was one piece of ham, the cheese was dry, the bread was chewy. He felt none of the flavors worked together and he wouldn't order it again. The desserts were wonderful, a lot of texture, flavor, and we loved the olive oil cake!

The restaurant itself is lively but chill - is there a word for that!? lol very laid back, friendly and informed staff. We were able to snag a seat at the bar which was great - it's probably got 12-15 seats. Full dinner service too! My husband got a mezcal old fashioned (not on the menu) and I got a spicy margarita. The drink menu features plenty of specialty cocktails, and I took our server's recommendation and ordered the Whisky Paloma, which was an excellent choice. I loved the chili dust along the rim. If you like pizza, they have an interesting selection featuring ingredients such as peaches, figs, and bacon. It was hard to decide, but I ended up ordering the Burrata pizza with grilled peaches, arugula, and honey. It was very good and would have been even better with a few more grilled peaches. I also ordered the grilled octopus because, if it's on the menu, I just have to try it. It was very good, along with the accompanying roasted potatoes. I prefer my octopus well grilled and firm, and this preparation was a bit softer than I would have liked. We finished with the tiramisu, which was a little disappointing. It was both very cold, as though it had just been thawed, and a bit soggy. Service: The service was very good throughout the evening. We were seated right away, and our server did a nice job of getting us settled in. The drinks and food arrived surprisingly quickly, and we felt well attended to throughout the meal. Thanks, Robert! Atmosphere: The building is a gem, with old brick on the outside and a modern, relaxing design on the inside. There is a foyer where guests are greeted and can wait for their tables. The wood wall treatments and lighting are inventive and upbeat. The many hard surfaces make the acoustics a bit loud, but we were still able to have a conversation comfortably. Overall, it was a very good experience. With a bit more attention to some of the final touches on the food, this could have been an even better experience. We would enjoy coming back again.
