I love Il Cervo!! I'm surprised it doesn't have a higher rating. The interior is so beautiful, the servers are always so nice & helpful if you have questions when ordering, and the food is so good!! The garlic focaccia is a must. As well as the bacon wrapped date. I love the pizza and pastas. It never disappoints!

The staff at Il Cervo were genuinely welcoming, which set a great tone for the night. I ordered the Conchiglie alla Vodka with red shrimp and mascarpone, and while the flavors were acceptable , the presentation and prep felt flat -- it just lacked imagination, and they can definitely do better. I practically counted five medium shrimp, and for a minute I thought I was served cheese balls instead of a pasta dish. The overall vibe of the restaurant leaned a little lethargic, which didn't help elevate the experience. Hoping they bring more energy and creativity next time.

My last experience at Il Cervo was truly awful. We made reservations and were seated promptly but in the tiniest booth by the bar. I am a normal size person, and it was so uncomfortable. You could barely move. Even my friend, who is quite thin was having issues getting comfortable. These booths are honestly made for children. Not only were the booths tiny but the service was so slow - took forever for drinks. When we finally got our food, the pizza was undercooked and quite a bit smaller in size than previous experiences. I've been 4-5 times and my experience has always been positive, but this one was quite the opposite. I should not have to strain myself in the booth to finish my $20 drink. Honestly, I do enjoy Il Cervo, but I absolutely wont sit at the bar booths again. We did ask about another table in the dining and were told they were all full.

A classy, top-tier Italian restaurant for any occasion. Whether you're looking for a nice date night, cocktails with the girls, or just some good food, you've come to the right place. At the top of the Trade Hotel, location is perfect with gorgeous views of downtown Milwaukee. I went for a bachelorette party and the staff were very accommodating, even giving the bride a free glass of champagne which was so sweet! The food is amazing! The portions were perfect, especially since pasta can go both ways. The creste de gallo was perfectly cooked and the shaved truffle on top, chef's kiss. The roasted garlic focaccia had a nice savory mascarpone sauce to dip in. Overall, a top restaurant in the Milwaukee area.

We recently enjoyed a Mother's Day dinner at Il Cervo. With construction all around parking was tight but we took advantage of the valet parking. Our server greeted us right away with water, and was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. The Colombo and Spritz al Sambuca were great zero-proof options. The view of the city was the perfect backdrop for evening - we had a great view from our table, and then popped out onto the balcony to take it all in after the meal. We shared the Medjool dates as an appetizer (very good), and for entrees had pappardelle, conchiglie alla vodka (gluten-sensitive), and spicy chicken 'Parmesan' served over a creamy risotto - every single thing was delicious. We didn't save room for dessert this time but they had several delicious options. We'll be back!

Highlights 1) Gluten-Friendly Options 2) Cool Ambiance 3) Great Views It's been well over a year since I last visited Il Cervo and I'm so glad we picked this spot for Saturday night dinner! I easily made a reservation online a little over a week in advance. I'm glad I had the reservation as it was quite busy. The fun ambiance and great views of the city are noticed immediately. I would love to come back and enjoy the rooftop patio when the weather gets nicer! Service was great start to finish. The menu is modern Italian and quite big! Our server was well versed in gluten-friendly options and I was excited to hear they had gluten-friendly pizza and pasta. We did the gluten-friendly, polenta fried mozzarella, dates, a pizza and the salmon. All of our food was flavorful and delicious. We will be back!

Great restaurant! Our server was fantastic, giving us recommendations and constantly refilling water and checking on us. We started with the Roasted Garlic Focaccia which was amazing. The focaccia had a nice crisp to it and the mascarpone fontina fonduta was very tasty. I ordered the Mafaldi which was delicious. As described by our server as a deconstructed lasagna. Noodles were perfect, lots of meat and flavor. Overall we enjoyed the food however cocktails were a bit overpriced. I ordered a seasonal Toasted Pear Martini and it was nothing special.

Top floor restaurant at The Trade. I arrived at the hotel late but needed to get some dinner. I was glad that this restaurant is open late Up to the 8th floor and headed to the bar. Service was good. Very attentive to my needs. My entree arrived pretty quickly. Nice and hot and fresh. It was pretty tasty. Add a couple of drinks and it was a great meal. The bar also has an outside area with heaters and fire pits. Definitely a great place to hang out until midnight.

The views of the city are great & the drinks were great!! Food is good but I think I have some other favorite pasta places in the area which is why it doesn't get my 5 stars!

Had the most amazing meal here last night! I definitely recommend reservations and give yourself extra time for parking. This place is on the 9th floor of the Trade Hotel and across the street from Fiserv. Our server was so knowledgeable and gave a great overview of the menu. We started with their cheesy roasted garlic focaccia, a must try for sure. We had their artichoke hearts which were lightly breaded and delicious. We split the lemon rotola pasta, incredibly filling, even splitting the meal. We tacked on their roasted carrots. I'm a sucker for a roasted carrot side and these did not disappoint. We ended our meal sharing the tiramisu, which was also fantastic. This can be a pricey place but definitely worth it!

What a view! Il Cervo is on the 9th floor of the trade hotel! I came in for brunch and had a great time! Just need some warmer weather I'll I'll be back for the patio! I was greeted by George, the General manager, when I arrived. He was very hospitable and made sure I had everything I needed. Thanks again!

Food was underwhelming. Chicken Parmesan was super oily and pepperoni pizza was nothing special. Started off with the bread with cream appetizer and the bread was too crispy to enjoy. I would say you are merely paying for the vibes of the place and views. Very cute place and service was good. Food was just overpriced for the quality.

Great ambiance, delicious + unique menu, and stellar service. Highly recommend if you're looking for fine Italian dining with a view in Milwaukee!

They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. You can also buy cheeses from the dairy and others, as well as assorted related products at a small retail section or cut fresh from the cheese case. Parking is on the street and can be a pain in this saturated area. The reason for the drop in stars? Prior visits got you more wines and more food to pair it with.
