This place received raving reviews on Facebook in addition to the fact that she's Tap 22's sister (from what I've heard) so I was very excited to try this place. The ambiance is modern and sleek, absolutely loved, warm and inviting atmosphere, all staff were extremely helpful and attentive. I ventured out of my comfort zone and ordered a breakfast burrito which def had quality ingredients, large, and definitely filling. Not my fave, I prefer my meat mixed in with the egg mixture in a breakfast burrito, it would have been okay if the egg didn't need salt, there also wasn't any cheese (which I do feel is very necessary in a burrito), and I prefer salsa with my breakfast burrito, the burrito was served with a large jalapeño which was tasty. My partner ordered the brisket skillet, the hash browns were a little too overcooked for our liking (when you got to the bottom of the dish) and the dish was just okay. We also ordered pancakes which were pretty darn delicious and probably the best I've ever tasted. I had a black coffee which was dark,strong and perfectly brewed, and also a fresh orange juice which was very refreshing. I wanted to purchase a gift certificate but they didn't have any, they said maybe in one week but we were hoping to give one away for a birthday gift today. Overall I'll def be back to try some other menu items and should have just got some good old fashioned biscuits and gravy (which looked amazing btw) or a breakfast sandwich. read more

We went in on a Saturday around 11am. The place was packed. Very little parking available. We really wanted to try Egg Parlor. The reviews have been great. So we went in and put our names down. Only a 10-15 wait. It was defiantly worth it. The service from start to finish was great. The staff is friendly. Then our food came out. Once again, they don't let you down. All of our food was fresh and tasted spot on with the spices added. I had the breakfast burrito and it was amazing. The home fries are a must to try. My wife had the special. Breakfast tacos. Had a bite and it was savory. You need to run to Egg Parlor and check it out. I guarantee you will not leave hungry and your taste buds will thank you. read more

So here's the deal, the food is pretty good (a little greasy though), but THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! It got to the point that I wouldn't even attempt to ask our waitress for anything and just go pop around trying to get whatever we needed ourselves. Pretty strange - we had to wait like 5-10 minutes after food was served to get silverware, even though we mentioned several times that we needed silverware well before the food arrived. What makes it worse was that we were literally the only customers in the restaurant, so it's not like you can say they were busy. I don't know, maybe they were just checked out? Never got any refills on drinks. Never even got a water. But I got to say the French toast, chorizo skillet, and chorizo benedict were pretty awesome. I got the chorizo benedict with meat on the side because I'm a vegetarian. The fried jalapeño is so good and unique, and of course spicy!!! The French toast, which I got for the kids, was delicious. Coffee tasted like dirt. Soda was flat. And idk what the water tastes like bc they never brought it out. Prices are pretty cheap though. So really, idk how to review this place. I wavered a lot between 3 and 4 stars. Food was great! But service was really bad. I just really wish someone could give them the message about bad service. With a place with food this good, it doesn't take much to be a 5 star restaurant. Literally just put silverware and drinks down and refill maybe once. Perhaps they should change their system to be a "serve yourself" when it comes to silverware, napkins, drinks etc and just have them bring out the food when ready. It'll make it easier on them (not like it was that hard given that we were the ONLY people at the restaurant). Too bad though. Probably won't go back. But food was indeed delicious. Update: I wavered a lot between 3 and 4 stars, and ultimately landed on a 3. Then after speaking to my husband, who said he'd never go back and that he felt sick afterwards, I changed to a 2 star :/. Had to try it and wasn't bad but won't go back. Two things previously reported showed up....toast - how hard can it be to have the toast come out with the meal and also as reported the butter was smeared across the toast? but did not melt. Also as reported the potatoes were not browned or the leat bit crispy with flavor being overwhelmed with the red bell peppers they were warmed with. I had the chicken fried steak and it was one of the better pre-fab'd ones I've had -better than Denny's about the same as Cracker Barrel. We pretty busy at 1030 with two waitresses doing an fair job of keeping up. Parking is spotty as they share the strip with other merchants - several nail place only spaces were empty....even with some space out back (no rear entrance - if it were full parking would be a problem. New breakfast/lunch restaurant in Silvis. We tried it for breakfast late morning on a weekday. Busy but we didn't have to wait. Service was attentive and friendly. We ordered chicken and pancake and chicken and French toast. Both were delicious. The pancake was huge and very flavorful. The chicken was crusted with Captain Crunch cereal. Food was ok, but pricey for what it was. Breakfast potatoes have a mixture of peppers and onions and also have a hint of a chorizo taste. I honestly would prefer hash browns myself. Also I was disappointed that there wasn't a kids menu. My kids split a $10 meal. Overall I would go to a family style restaurant and get much more food for cheaper and tastes just as well. Love the menu options with traditional breakfast dishes with their own creative spin. I gave it 4 stars because the management/service needs to improve. We started off with mimosas ( they have 5-6 varieties) while we waited for a table. They definitely need to up their management of busing tables and getting people seated. A table sat empty for 10-15 minutes until a customer got up and pointed it out to the hostess. There were 5 empty tables at once that took time before they were cleaned. Don't be in a rush and you'll be fine. The staff is very pleasant. Once we ordered our food and it was brought to the table it was delightful. The plating is beautiful and modern. My granddaughter got strawberry stuffed French toast, my husband got the chicken fried steak and I got the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy comes with an egg and sausage patty on top; I replaced the sausage with bacon. We all enjoyed our food. I thought the gravy was delicious too. Some places are not so great and this was definitely gravy I would come back for. People around us had pancakes that looked amazing, light and fluffy and large; I'll have to try that next time. We finished our meal off sharing a chocolate croissant with large strawberries and chocolate on the side. Wow! A great ending to our experience here! We will definitely be back! read more

Breakfast last Saturday, ordered biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs over easy on top, no potatoes, no meat. I assumed sausage gravy but no, it was only white flour gravy and a hockey puck for a biscuit, old, dry and hard. Both eggs on top were broken. Also delivered with sausage patties that I didn't eat but had to pay for. Doubtful I'll be returning any time soo. read more

Really poor service today. One waitress working the whole restaurant . Poor girl was cleaning off tables, closing out tabs, rolling up rugs, and waiting tables. She kept apologizing about the service. Waited a long time for food .Food quality also not up to par today. Waffles were heavy like cake donut texture and pancakes were tough. So to start off I have to say the food was fantastic. My first time in here but frequent tap 22. My friend and I loved the food! Should have docked two stars for the service though! When I go somewhere and spend my hard earned money, I'm looking for the whole package. Including an awesome or at least good server. Worst service I have had in years. Been in the restaurant business myself for decades. I know what goes on and what to expect. Danniell was not engaging or friendly at all. They were busy for certain but you still have to smile and engage with your customers. Not once did she! Finally got our orders. Got a mimosa, saw her make a flight of them and asked about what all they were. She pointed to the menu. Not a single word. Never asked if I wanted to try it, took our food orders, Remembering by heart, good for her. That's impressive. Too bad she doesn't know how to smile or be friendly. Say thankyou, ask if we need anything.... Wanted to try the flight. Asked her while she was making drinks in front of us how much. She answered, but didn't ask if I'd like one. I finally said could I get one please. Not one word. Made it, set it down, walked away. Served our food walked away. Had to ask another girl for my water. Salt and pepper, and ketchup. This girl could make three times as much money with little effort if she would smile and engage even just a little. To top it off, the owner stopped in while we were eating, Danniell engaged her, smiled, laughed, right in front of us. Really!! Do you have any idea how this girl is treating your customers??? Would like to try this place again, would not like to have her ever as our server... If you hate your job, don't have one in customer service because that's what this is. My wife and I have been there two times and have enjoyed it . Food was good, service fine and good size servings. Two observations. The later you get there the larger the crowd . Parking is limited. The whole purpose of serving food in/on an iron skillet is to keep the food nice and hot so that the flavor is there during the entire meal. So.....when some moron decides that using a PLASTIC skillet is a good idea guess what happens? The food does not stay warm and loses flavor quickly. And to top it off, these aholes are charging a real-skillet level price. So, just another Quad City restaurant that doesn't get it and is all about profit over actual quality. Service was ok however the bus boy came to our table didn't ask if we were done or if we needed a box (I still had half a burrito on my plate) he took the plates away then came back and proceeded to take our drinks which we were still drinking and wiped the table down all without saying one word to us. Egg Parlor is a pretty good breakfast/brunch place in the QC. I went for the first time a few weeks ago and the service was pretty good. Our waitress said they were short staffed on that day but service was still quick and pleasant. The coffee was okay but their fresh orange juice was very good. I got the chicken and french toast and it was probably the best I've ever had! Chicken was juicy and crispy and the french toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I am usually pretty picky when it comes to french toast but I was very satisfied. Their syrup is also very good. I will definitely go back and get it again! read more

So my mom and I decided to go here we've never been here before the manager and the staff was very rude. Our food smelled like straight dust then we try to explain to them and then they're only reply was that our food is made fresh. They didn't even try to remake it so then I had to pay $16 for food that we didn't even eat. I would not recommend coming here. read more

My work order 4 Biscuits & Gravy, if you put all of them together still wouldn't be enough for one order. For the price of the Biscuits & Gravy the lease you can do is add a lot more gravy. There was hardly any gravy on the plate. You get more gravy from Hardees then you do from here. From the other pictures I've just seen on yelp, our gravy wasn't anything like the theirs. Our gravy was very thin & brown in color. The egg for me was over cooked I like over easy though. the biscuits were dry because you didn't have enough gravy to cover them up. read more

Terrible! We visited the Egg Parlor on a Saturday morning for brunch. My wife had the avocado Benedict, I ordered the breakfast burrito. I also ordered the strawberry orange juice mimosa. There was NO champagne in the mimosa. It was a glass of strawberry orange juice. When the food came out, my wife took one bite of her Benedict and said she couldn't eat anymore. The eggs were supposed to be poached but were hard. There was an unidentifiable bad taste to the entire dish. The burrito I ordered had no meat-just full of potatoes and eggs. Another issue was cleanliness or the lack thereof. My wife's coffee cup had chapstick remnants from the previous customer. There were smears from other food on the plates. The only redeeming quality was the great customer service from the waitress. The restaurant did remove the Benedict plate from our bill, which was nice since neither of us ate a thing. Needless to say, we left there and went to breakfast elsewhere. read more
