Nationwide has…read morealways held my parents auto policies, protected their home, and given them the security of quality life insurance. But they're just an insurance company, right? When I moved back to Columbus, I was actually a (dissatisfied) customer with another insurance company and shopping USAA very seriously. Anyone who's served and is eligible knows that you just don't beat USAA's insurance offerings. I don't even remember why, but one day at my dad's behest I decided to do a quote with Nationwide just for giggles. We ran a dozen quotes with different deductibles, vehicle combinations, and coverages. We had genuine discussions about whether or not Nationwide was going to be a good fit for my budget and needs. We just plain talked about cars. I found an insurance agent who loves cars. I kid you not. Mark made a lasting impression on me with his genuine desire to lend me his time, expertise, and advice through my shopping process. In the end, the cost didn't make sense and we ended up staying with my wife's insurer. Fast forward a few months and we got fed up with our current insurer and on a whim, I called Mark again. I'd had an accident fall off of my history in the months prior and not only was Nationwide able to beat USAA's (and my current insurer's) rate offerings through various discount programs and incentives, the quality of one-on-one service we received was yet again phenomenal. Having been a member with this agency for just over two years now, I can all but assure you that I'm their worst customer. I micromanage my bill. I question every change. I constantly hassle Mark about why things look the way they do on my policies. Every single time I call, I hang up with a smile on my face. Mark ALWAYS gets me squared away, even if he has to go get me an answer and follow up later. I never have to wait weeks (or even days) for a call-back. I never get canned or scripted answers to my concerns. The guy genuinely cares about his members. I can't recommend this agency highly enough. You simply can't put a price on the quality of service they provide their members, and I've never been happier (or really anything but apathetic) with an insurer's handling of member issues and concerns.

In addition, she has demonstrated a concerning lack of knowledge regarding the handling of auto insurance claims. As the innocent party who was hit by one of your insured drivers, I have been requesting a comparable rental vehicle while my SUV is being repaired. I rely on an SUV for both my work responsibilities and to transport an elderly family member who is unable to safely enter and exit a sedan. Despite these legitimate needs and the fact that Grange's insured is at fault, Julia has refused to provide an appropriate rental vehicle for my loss of use. I have also repeatedly requested to speak with her supervisor, but those requests have gone unanswered. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. Furthermore, the vehicle estimator advised me that my SUV should not be driven due to the extent of the damage. Yet because of Julia's refusal to respond and her failure to properly handle this claim, I have been left without a reasonable solution. Based on this experience, I would never choose your company for my own insurance needs, nor would I recommend it to others. I strongly believe Julia would benefit from additional training in both customer service and claims handling. If this matter is not addressed promptly, I will have no choice but to involve legal counsel to protect my interests.
