I ordered the Huevos Divorciados, served with both red and green sauces. The green sauce stood out in particular--bright, piquant, and full of fresh tomatillo flavor. - Service was exceptionally friendly and impressively fast. My coffee stayed hot and was refilled often, always with a warm smile. - The atmosphere is clean, bright, and unpretentious. - Es bueno.

Great little Latin cafe with rancheros options that you may have never tried before. We enjoyed the service and the cafe style atmosphere. The food was seasoned well and the red ranchero sauce was full of flavor! Can't wait to try more of their dishes!

This was our favorite breakfast during our trip. Amazing service and outstanding food. The steak chilaquiles were so tasty and I had to try the blueberry cheesecake pancakes and they were soo good! Great place! Enjoyed our visit!

Had a wonderful breakfast here Thanksgiving morning we were the first customers. Then the place quickly filled up with people to eat here. We couldn't finish all the food so we had it for lunch as well very tasty. Everything we tried was perfect !

This is a fairly new breakfast/lunch restaurant located on Biltmore Ave near the hospital and on the way to downtown. Free and adequate parking on site. I had a quick breakfast here between doctor appointments. Service was friendly and quick. The menu has many combinations of Mexican/Latin dishes and I received some advice on finding the dish that fit my current current dietary limitations. I received a generous serving of scrambled eggs with veggies without the jalapenos, refried beans with cheese and skipped the tortillas. The food and plate came out very hot which meant that it didn't get cold during the duration of my meal which was nice. Overall the eggs were perfectly cooked and veggies tasty. Black coffee was very good. There's adequate seating inside for various sized parties.

Amazing food and service. This restaurant is off the charts and the food portions are big. But wow the flavors of food were just delicious and fresh. I recommend the rancheros tacos. I had them twice before we left Asheville. The service was really personal and stellar.

    chilaquiles de birria

Everything about this place is wonderful. We saw an Instagram recommendation and decided to go! So glad we did. There was a wait, about 15-20 mins (they told us 30) there are places to sit outside and wait. The parking lot is small but we didn't not have any issues with parking. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly. Our waiter told us the chef was from Guatemala. The food here was awesome. We are from Texas and miss the authentic Latin/Mexican food. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros and I ordered their special chilaquiles de birria. The food was so good, we went back the next morning! You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

    Spicy shredded beef Omelet

Walk in at 1:40 PM. Sat with around a quarter of the restaurant filled. Ask the young lady what she recommends get the spicy shredded beef omelet with a half order of pancakes with blue berry compote. The Salsa served with the omelet was stellar really blew me away. Compote was excellent as well not overly sweet and didn't require any syrup. Over all I'd say this spot should be on a rotation for anyone who works downtown.

Chilaquiles Verde and Agua de Piña

We're visiting Asheville from Los Angeles and came to Eggs Rancheros Kitchen by recommendation. We're glad that we came because everything was fresh and delicious. The verde sauce was exceptionally flavorful- like I want the recipe flavorful. And our waitress Kimberly was very sweet and on top of things, even though it was a busy time. My only recommendation would be to possibly add rice to the menu as a side. Other than that: 11/10.

    Breakfast Quesadilla and coffee
    Janet C.

I drive past this place regularly and have noted the apparent popularity of it and got to try it for myself today. I ordered the breakfast Quesadilla and at first, I was a bit disappointed because the amount of cheese was too much. After id eaten about half, I added the salsa that came on the side and that improved it significantly and there seemed to be much more veggies in the second half. I think the cheese had just moved to one side. As a vegetarian, I was also disappointed they didn't have more vegetarian options as meat seems to be the star here on their large menu. I might eat here again especially if I'm going with meat eaters.

The best falafel (a daily Benedict special) and that's saying something given I've eaten falafels in Israel, Turkey and NYC. The bed of arugula and hollondaise sauce was chef's kiss. Then there's the side dish of the feta potato salad. OMG! The server called the chef "young, hungry, and polished..." and truly I agree. My honey is a meat and potatoe dude and the burger he had was sumptuous. A hint of horseradish (he thinks) with the smoky bacon and perfect seasoned fries. In summary... total gastronomic taste gasm. The menu is Southern creative. We started with the biscuits and gravy appetizer which might have been a mistake because I was almost too full for my entree after sampling it. The signature gravy was heavenly! We scooped it up with our forks when we ran out of biscuit. The coffee is excellent and we all enjoyed the fresh squeezed juice. (Those are important touches for breakfast.) the service is super friendly. Maybe could use a more extensive child's menu. My older son eats like a little adult but my younger kid is a typical "kid" eater. Although he loved his waffles and the picture provided for coloring. If I lived in this neighborhood, I'd be walking down here all the time.

Our evening started with complimentary champagne....booked in advance and told the staff we were in town celebrating and they took great care of us. We skipped the apps, but were impressed that they offer smaller plates, along with their entrees. My wife ordered the 4 Oz filet, which was so tender that it didn't require a steak knife to cut it. Her butter knife was sufficient enough. Honestly, her fork would've been enough. You can tell they have good beef quality....the filet was very tasty. Was served with a sauce and whipped potatoes, along with fresh green beans. I ordered their scallops and polenta dish. Honestly, I think the garnish was a bit over the top.....however, their scallops were delicious and tender. I normally like a good sear but can appreciate how they prepared theirs. The seasoning was flavorful and their sauce with the garnish went well with it. The only mark I can make had to do with the polenta. It was quite tasty, but the consistency didn't match the description of the dish. Regardless, it paired very well with the scallops. Ended the night with complimentary dessert, which was their blackberry peach crumble with ice cream, which was delicious. One of the best desserts we've had in some time. Our waiter James was fantastic. He was great in describing dishes, and was timely with the service and making sure our drinks were taken care of. The manager on duty, Brooke, was wonderful as well and even extended well wishes on our celebration. All in all, their staff did a great job. You can also tell that the other tables got similar service as well. We had all intentions on coming back and checking out their brunch, which was highly recommended, but ended up doing something else the following day. This is a solid option for date night dining. Very intimate setting downtown. Parking is ridiculous to try and get close by, especially on a Friday night, but theres a parking deck under a mile away from the front door. This is another Asheville spot we'll have in the rotation. Very impressed and can't wait to try other options there in the future.
