Great diner. Biscuits & gravy, fried green tomatoes, fried eggs, grits all delicious. Cute and clean space. Service was fast.

The Med is a small diner in downtown Asheville. Laid back. Pretty traditional menu. Breakfast is served all day. I went for the two egg breakfast with toast, grits and bacon. The two eggs were supposed to be over medium ... they were little closer to over easy than I like. The grits had a really good flavor and were cooked right. I did not care for them be poured over my eggs. There was a lot of staff but not much attention paid to tables once the food was delivered. The price was reasonable.

Food and service were excellent. Hot and delicious. Biscuits and gravy with egg is off the charts amazing.

The Med was a great diner type breakfast spot in Downtown Asheville. I usually order 1 pancake with whatever else I get, and this time was no different. However, I didn't realize the pancakes were as wide as the plates! The grits were great, the thick kind, eggs were scrambled and seasoned, and when I asked for a SIDE of bacon, I got a place of 4 big pieces (as opposed to 2 at most places). Service was great, will definitely go back next time we are in town!

The Med hit the spot for me as I visited a local joint while in town. Both me and my coworker order the Bodega. I had mushrooms added to mine and the cook was nice enough to put one on top of the brioche bun which was a perfect combo of soft and crisp. This was the best thing I ate while visiting. The service was fast and courteous. Even though it has street parking only it was worth the visit.

Perfect breakfast spot in Asheville. I went there last while my son was sleeping, just had a spicy bloody Mar a side of sausage, and a side of bacon. Was perfect, so I came back next day and did the same thing.

Breakfast gem! Staff was super sweet and gave a great coffee recommendation around the corner when we had to wait for our table. Food was outstanding! Generous potions and very flavorful. Must visit and worth the wait.

Craving some Diner goodness before rolling out of Asheville or a morning treat to get you moving? Unassuming diner Americana with scratch made food that tastes even better than it smells & prompt service with a smile will keep you coming back. French toast is thick cut and oh so good. And any of the bowls are big enough to share. Small place - and worth the wait (if you have one). Don't miss the Med!

Our evening started with complimentary champagne....booked in advance and told the staff we were in town celebrating and they took great care of us. We skipped the apps, but were impressed that they offer smaller plates, along with their entrees. My wife ordered the 4 Oz filet, which was so tender that it didn't require a steak knife to cut it. Her butter knife was sufficient enough. Honestly, her fork would've been enough. You can tell they have good beef quality....the filet was very tasty. Was served with a sauce and whipped potatoes, along with fresh green beans. I ordered their scallops and polenta dish. Honestly, I think the garnish was a bit over the top.....however, their scallops were delicious and tender. I normally like a good sear but can appreciate how they prepared theirs. The seasoning was flavorful and their sauce with the garnish went well with it. The only mark I can make had to do with the polenta. It was quite tasty, but the consistency didn't match the description of the dish. Regardless, it paired very well with the scallops. Ended the night with complimentary dessert, which was their blackberry peach crumble with ice cream, which was delicious. One of the best desserts we've had in some time. Our waiter James was fantastic. He was great in describing dishes, and was timely with the service and making sure our drinks were taken care of. The manager on duty, Brooke, was wonderful as well and even extended well wishes on our celebration. All in all, their staff did a great job. You can also tell that the other tables got similar service as well. We had all intentions on coming back and checking out their brunch, which was highly recommended, but ended up doing something else the following day. This is a solid option for date night dining. Very intimate setting downtown. Parking is ridiculous to try and get close by, especially on a Friday night, but theres a parking deck under a mile away from the front door. This is another Asheville spot we'll have in the rotation. Very impressed and can't wait to try other options there in the future.

Solid 15/10 Rating We could not decide on the Entree, so we went with the Bison, veggies and Mashed potatoes. This was also a Homeroom. Not your typical greasy meal. It was well prepared, non-greasy, and I'm not a fan of blackberry, but the blackberry bbq glaze was Fantastic. Also this was very light if you're wanting to indulge in a light meal. Not to mention the veggies. The broccoli and carrots were also soaked with flavor and juices, so every bite was just leaking with flavor and not your typical dry veggie. We went all out with appetizers and main courses, and everything was excellent. For starters, my husband ordered the buffalo chicken bites and I got the fried pickles. I ordered the "Bacon Crunch" style Juicy Lucy, which came stuffed with cheese and topped with bacon jam, pickles, crisp bacon slices, and potato chips for a perfect crunch. My husband went for the "Lucy Loco" burger, which came loaded with jalapeños. Both burgers had incredible flavor, were an ample size, and hit the spot perfectly. The sides were just as impressive.
