Went for breakfast and I have to say it was phenomenal. It's a very cool place and everybody there is very nice. I had an iced cold brew coffee and my husband had his favorite iced tea. I had avocado toast and gluten-free bread. And I have to say that gluten-free bread usually is subpar, but this one was the best I've had. My husband had a grilled cheese sandwich with blueberry compote and a cup of tomato soup. It was fabulous. We ordered at the counter and they brought the food out fairly quickly to our table.

I am obsessed with Bru! I travel to AVL fairly frequently and try to plan my mornings to make sure I have time to sit down and eat here. The staff is so friendly and it's a very chill environment. The food is incredible. The coffee is fabulous and the food is even better. I genuinely crave this place.

Fantastic breakfast spot with great food and plenty of options with delicious coffee as well. We loved it! I had the cottage cheese eggs which was the perfect amount of food. Husband had the huevos rancheros which was good too!

I came here with my husband a couple days ago when we were visiting Asheville. The service was great, our waitress was very helpful and attentive. And the food was also quite tasty, I ordered the baked cottage cheese eggs (10/10) and my husband got the huevos rancheros. We both really enjoyed our dishes. As for the drinks, I got the cookies & cream latte and it was very yummy. My husband just got an Americano (he's boring) but he liked it. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting, it's a cute little cafe. 10/10 would go again!

This place is fantastic! The coffee was delicious and flavored with in-house syrups that weren't too sweet! The food (breakfast sandwich) was incredible - locally sourced beef and perfectly cooked egg were so good. I would be here every day if I lived in the area! Great service as well and everyone was very kind!

This locally owned and operated business just opened in Asheville. The name Brü refers to the fact they are both a coffee bar and a beer bar, also serving food. It's a small narrow place with bar stools for sitting at several long bars, including one with a roll-up window that faces onto Biltmore Ave, so you can sit and watch the world go by. Great when it is rolled up and you get the breeze. Like many places in Asheville these days, you order at the counter and they bring your order to you. The service was friendly and efficient. The taps were not operational yet when we went during their soft opening, so we had coffee instead of beer. The dark roast was very good and very reasonably priced. They had their draft beer list posted already and it looked like a great selection of beers, mostly local, but some out of the area -- but all interesting craft beers in any case. The menu includes breakfast and lunch items. The menu is fairly small, but very innovative and the food was very good. We were there at lunch time. We had to try the pastrami tacos. Where have you ever seen that on a menu? Thick tasty chunks of pastrami with tasty toppings in a taco shell. Our only suggestion would be to maybe add a small side of chips or greens. There were 2 good-sized tacos, but they'd be even better if there was some kind of side. We also had the salmon bowl, which was next level, like you'd get at a really good Japanese restaurant. The salmon serving itself wasn't huge, but tasted so good and was so well prepared that it was worth it. The skin was cooked to perfection, with the inside left a little fleshier, almost like you'd get typically with pan-seared tuna. We ordered it because it came with cucumbers, edamame, avocado and basil leaves, all served over white rice. That sounded kind of weird, so we wanted to see if it all worked together, and did it ever! Everything played well off each other and the meal was healthy, fresh and just filling enough. One suggestion might be to maybe serve it over a combination of rice (brown or white) and quinoa. The quinoa could give it just a little more crunchiness and character. But overall, everything was really good. A cute little place that's a great new addition to the Asheville food scene. We'll be back for beers, more food and the cool vibe.

I've been here several times now and it's my new favorite breakfast spot. My favorite drink is the Hazelnut Cortado and my favorite breakfast is the Baked Cottage Cheese Eggs. SO good!! They also serve lunch, dinner and beer and it's on my list to try. Great vibes and awesome staff as well!

I stopped in here to study, and the open floor plan and huge open windows for fresh air made it the perfect spot! My favorite part: a gluten free and local smash burger. Like a REAL comfort food smash burger without the guilt. The man working the bar recommended it to me and it was amazing!! The fries were so fresh and super crispy. 10/10 recommend especially if you have dietary restrictions that make eating out hard!

    Mocha. DELICIOUS

My husband and I are foodies. Came here on a wim because we loved the vibe and SO glad we did. We got the mocha, ultimate bacon sammie, the cottage cheese eggs and the crispy salmon bowl... everything was SO GOOD. We had to thank the chef because we were so impressed. The service was great, the baristas were so sweet and helpful. We will definitely be coming back every time we're in town. Highly recommend!!

Every dish was a masterpiece, bold and elegant, comforting and exciting all at once. This is vegan food that doesn't whisper or apologize--it commands the room. The flavors were layered, intentional, and downright magical. Each plate arrived like a work of art, and somehow tasted even better than it looked. I kept thinking, there is no way the next dish can top this--and yet, it always did. Plant proves, without question, that vegan cuisine can be indulgent, luxurious, and unforgettable. And then... the dessert. I am not exaggerating when I say it deserves its own standing ovation. Rich, decadent, perfectly balanced--one bite and time stopped. If happiness had a flavor, this would be it. I would return to Plant for dessert alone, without a second thought. Plant is hands-down the best vegan restaurant in Asheville. It's passion, creativity, and excellence on a plate. If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out on something truly special. This is the kind of place that ruins other restaurants for you--in the best possible way.

Each bite has a unique depth of flavor. Some vegan foods that I've tried has a tendency to be over salted or seasoned or just hides behind some type of soy-based protein for texture and to try to be something it's not. I can happily say plant has dodged this with ease We got the Cauliflower, Roasted Beets, Broccolini (seasonal, not pictured sorry), Cheese Board (not pictured ... sorry again), and The Curry.Honestly have fun with the menu, there was nothing that missed. I would say most definitely get the Cheese Board. It came with a unique set of cheeses with different flavors and textures. How do you age a cashew cheese?!?! It came with a nice assortment of pickled veggies, fruits, gluten free bed, and olives. Nice and big too If you couldn't already, I loved my experience here. Perfect ambiance for a date night too! First, a logistics tip for anyone else visiting: give yourself plenty of extra time to find parking, as it takes a while to hunt down a spot down here. Also, double-check that you are making your reservation for the right location! There are a couple in the area and it can get confusing quickly. As for the food, my meal was quite good. I ordered the fried chicken with green beans and grits, and everything on my plate was delicious. However, my husband's meal was a bit of a letdown. He had the chicken and waffles--he felt his chicken was on the overcooked side, and the waffle itself had the texture of pancakes rather than being crisp. Service was also a bit slow during our visit. The most frustrating part was noticing that our food came out after a table of four that had actually been seated after we were. It was worth a try while we were in town, but given the service pacing and the hiccups with my husband's food, I don't think we'd head back on a return trip.
