It is located in a quaint neighborhood surrounded by apartments, it's easy to miss because it doesn't face the main road. When we walked in, the hostess stand was right at the entrance, which felt a little unusual. The hostess was also our waitress and wasn't especially friendly, but she appeared to be the only server working, so I'm willing to give her some grace. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and added a side of breakfast potatoes. The potatoes arrived luke warm, which was the only disappointment. Everything else was outstanding! The biscuits and gravy were delicious, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the meal was great! The restaurant itself is spacious, spotless, and even the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Despite a couple of small service hiccups, the quality of the food more than made up for it. If you're looking for a great breakfast before a day at Disney, don't overlook Eggs Up Grill. Went here on a Monday morning as we were in the area so there was no wait which is always welcome at a breakfast spot. Atmosphere is that of a more elevated diner so we were curious as to what the food was going to taste like. My husband seemed to really enjoy the croissant donuts which seem like a specialty of theirs; I thought it was ok. The churro crunch french toast was solid, hard to say whether it tasted more like french toast or churro. The classic benny was also satisfying, and it was nice to be able to sub home fries with regular fries. After our first breakfast at our Disney resort was - honestly better than we expected- just not what we were looking for when we have a little more time. We wanted a good like typical breakfast diner, and I kept coming across the standard chains - First Watch, Maple Street, etc. then this one caught my eye! There was no wait on a Monday late morning. Our server was Luna, and she was friendly and helpful. I tried their Benedict with the chicken fried steak and green chiles and - wow! That's the best twist on a Benedict I've ever heard of, and it was executed well too. Their chicken fried steak was great. The English muffin is crusted with pepper jack cheese which was an unexpected flavor. The green chiles visually looked like a lot, but it was really a great amount. When you ask for home fries crispy, boy - do they deliver! Might have been a tad crispy for my taste so I'd probably go with the standard way, just personal preference. My husband tried the home fries bowl and was happy there. One kiddo liked their burger and fries. The other ordered the pick 3, which is genius for a kids menu. No needing to substitute anything, just order exactly what the kids will eat. Coffee was just okay. I'd probably just order that elsewhere personally. But overall, this was a great find! Second time at this location. I returned for the steak and eggs because it was so good last time. We were greeted upon entering and seated immediately. We wanted a booth so we asked to be relocated. The table we were then escorted to was not properly cleaned. After we sat down, we looked over the menu. I, of course, ordered the Steak and Eggs again. I sub for fruits instead of home fries or grits. I then ordered the Caramel Cinnamon Smile Coffee. Mom ordered the Waffle with Eggs and Bacon. The Steak and Eggs were on point just as I remembered. The steak was well seasoned and cooked to the right temperature requested. The coffee was delicious and not sweet. Mom enjoyed her food too. At about 9am, it got really busy. Groups of families were coming in and the restaurant started filling up earlier. I would recommend staff be more observant and not seat diners to dirty tables. We ordered the crab cake benedict and the Texican bowl, and both were well cooked, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Now I'm a big breakfast person and one of my fave things is breakfast potatoes- not sure how they made theirs but the sautéed onions throughout were SOO GOOD! My steak was cooked to perfection as I requested. Took my leftovers back to my room and reheated them that's how good everything was LOL. My only drawback were parking & the wait. I'm not sure if this was the location that caused the wait to be a bit chaotic but wowzers, go expecting to wait 30+ minutes in your car. There's nowhere for you to wait near the restaurant as they share a strip with other busy shops and a bagel restaurant. We sat outdoors (we're visitors to FL) so soaking up the morning sun (and it was HOT @ 10am in NOVEMBER ) was okay with us but I can see how the placement of their outdoor seating isn't ideal because of where the sun rises and there's no covering outside of your tables umbrella. I had an early day so I was pleased to see this place opens at 6am DAILY! I was greeted by a nice lady named Betsy, very professional & friendly. I always judge a breakfast place by two things: 1) how much champagne is in my mimosa, 2) the potatoes. This place exceeded my expectations for a decently affordable, homey, diner type of place :) My mimosa was 5 stars because I can kinda see through it. My boyfriend got the Big Tex Benny which was REALLY GOOD! I got a Goodness Gracious Omelet and I must say that most omelets kind of overdo it on the feta cheese but this had just the right amount. The only thing is that the amount of potatoes weren't the same between different entrees, but they were seasoned perfectly! The service was very quick too for how busy they were. I was genuinely impressed with how fast and efficiently everything came out. Now, the reviews on here were raving about the French toast... so we took a Creme Brûlée French Toast to-go. There are also several tables outside that help a bit. Service was quick and friendly. They were quite attentive as well. I had the Chimi Steak Scramble off the Summer Smiles menu (see photo). It was a unique dish with eggs, avocado, tomatoes and skirt steak. The chimichurri sauce made it unique. The potatoes were soft, not crispy, but still had a good flavor. First off I wanted the peppermint hot cocoa and they were out of peppermint so our lovely waitress added peppermint bits to the hot cocoa itself hoping they'd melt and flavor it and they did. I was so excited to try this place since it's newer to the area but I was really disappointed. As soon as we walked in it took forever for the hostess to greet us and then seat us. We went on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't busy, with plenty of tables open. Our server came to the table and didn't introduce himself or ask if we have been there before or anything he straight up asked if we knew what we wanted to drink and then walked away. When he came back with the drinks he asked if we knew what we wanted to order. My boyfriend got some kind of texmex Benedict with grits and I got the deuces with eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The pancakes were good but as soon as I put the cold syrup on them it turned them cold and the bacon was so chewy. My boyfriends grits were so bland and tasted like water. But then, our wonderful waitress threw me a curve ball. She mentioned they had HOT, made to order, Croissant Donuts. Oh no! We would frequent Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach area a few times a year. We came across Eggs Up Grill and it was so good that we had breakfast there every morning. So we were thrilled to find one close to our hotel while on vacation in Orlando. The restaurant is very bright and clean. It was an all male staff, from cooks, host, waiters, etc. all men. I thought that was interesting! Our prepared food sat under the heat lamps FOREVER! And the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Maybe four tables of customers in the entire restaurant. 2-4 people per table. So not large parties at all. We watched our food sit there so long that my husband wanted to leave. By the time our food arrived, it was like warm to room temperature. Workers standing around talking, no sense of urgency to get your food out in a timely manner. Let's put it this way, my French toast wasn't even warm enough to melt the butter. Our bacon was room temperature. We were just totally disappointed. Then I realized, women's ability to multitasking comes in handy in this line of work. My husband ordered a side of toast, and it too, sat under the heating lamps, and wasn't brought to the table until we were 90% finished with our meal. I'm hoping, if they just opened, that they can get better systems in place. Very disappointed. read more
