All I can say is Wow! I can't believe we haven't tried this place sooner. From the moment you step inside, it was nice and bright and everyone looked like they were enjoying their meals. Even the girl who saw that I was standing at the wrong end of the counter to order was smiling when she guided me to the opposite end. I wasn't sure what to order but I knew I wanted to create my own bowl. She advised me on what the different rice and dips were and also let me know I could try a sample of anything if I wanted. I wasn't sure how spicy the Harissa chicken would be so I tried that and asked if I could do half of the chicken and roasted vegetables which I did. My husband went with the Harissa chicken avocado bowl. Once I got to the end of the line and ready to pay, the next girl asked what dressing I would like and I asked for her recommendation. She said the garlic dressing was a favorite and now it is mine. The portions were big enough for us to take our leftovers home and enjoy. What an amazing step up from Chipotle which is just 2 doors down. You can tell how popular and well-liked Cava is just by the amount of take out bags we saw lined up on the shelf. Well, that was surprisingly delicious! I'm a fan of the custom meal in a bowl concept, but it can be really hit or miss depending on the chain. I've never been to Cava before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I went with the spicy grilled chicken over super greens and lentils, with hummus and harissa, as well as pickled onions, Kalamata olives, tomato and onion salad, sumac slaw, and the fiery broccoli salad. My meal was awesome. I was pleasantly surprised with the punchiness of the spice in the grilled chicken. It was great. All of the salads were fresh and delicious, and the hummus and harissa toppings were great too, a very nice compliment to everything in the bowl. The only downside was the intake process, which was a bit clunky. When I first arrived there were about 12 people on line and nobody was there to get the orders going. Thai lasted a good 5 minutes and I almost walked away. But once that person arrived things moved along nicely. Also the counter that they're sliding the bowls along was a little bit on the dirty side, so the bottom of my bowl had all kinds of weird sauce and vegetable pieces on it, which I did not appreciate it as I took it out of the bag. Other than that though, my experience was great. I would highly recommend Cava. Five stars. read more

Had a bit of a craving after visiting the Posner location for the first time. This place is even smaller in size than the Posner location so be sure you can find seating if you plan on staying to eat. The servers helped, but did confuse me a bit when it was time to ring up as "half/half" could refer to the greens/rice or the protein options and I think we both went different ways with it. The food overall was ok, but I feel like the newer location might have been a little bit fresher. Its still a decent restaurant and worth the visit if you haven't been or if you haven't had a Mediterranean bowl before. read more

First time here for a work lunch. I had never heard of this place and it immediately felt like the Mediterranean version of a much better Chipotle or Moe's. I ordered a Mediterranean bowl with steak and Falafel, brown rice, lentils, avocado, tzatziki sauce and shredded cheese. I also ordered some garlic pita chips and a drink bro going my total to $25. This was very tasty and fresh. The downside is that $25 is a lot more than I ever want to or should pay for lunch on work break. Now, that I've said that, the bowl I ordered really could have been shared by two. So, when I bring my husband, we can share and that makes the cost just right. One other downside is that the dining room is quite small, especially for the crowds that they had for lunch. Service is friendly and the restaurant appeared tidy and nice. read more

This was my second time at the restaurant. I feel like if you order the dressings on the side it looks less messy. They put the lid on it last time and it wasn't picture friendly. If you like rice, you can just order rice and no greens, and get the free lettuce on the toppings area. I got the saffron rice, harissa chicken and steak. I got corn, tomatoes, cucumber, spicy hummus, reg hummus, taziki dressing. I ordered the avocado, which is extra and the pita chips! The pita chips are so delicious! I really enjoyed the food so much. The freshness of the food and great customer service is a winning match! They have many drinks and the lemonades and teas are not very sweet. One of my friends told me to put half lemon lime soda/half tea (like an Arnold Palmer of sorts) and it was delicious! The next day, the half I couldn't eat was just as delicious! Overall this location is great. The shopping plaza has plenty of parking available. I've only ever grabbed pickup orders so my time in the restaurant has been limited. I will say, the quality of the food is a crapshoot as to who is making your order. Sometimes my bowl is rather skimpy and other times it feels more packed. I definitely wish there was some consistency in the way they make orders. Highly recommend checking your order before leaving the store because I've had wrong orders and things missing before as well. When things are right, I'm happy with the food from Cava! Absurd portions for the kids meal. $10.80 for this kids meal and it's barely more than a tablespoon of meat?! I even asked whether this was right because it's never been this skimpy at any other location and was told this is the correct amount by the server and customer service. These items were all listed on the receipts on the containers so I don't know why they weren't in the bag. Orders should be checked for completeness before sealing the bag. I ordered a bowl through UberEats and it had my name on the bag and inside was someone else's order. The quality looked sloppy and half the size of an actual order if you go pick it up yourself. We liked the former iteration, Zoe's better but this dumbed down version is till good. You can get bowls made the way you want it or their self-styled bowls. The bowls are sufficiently sized and the price is average. It is newly opened and they handled the very crowded dining area very well, moving along at a steady pace. The food was flavorful and I felt good about eating healthy while enjoying my food. They have juices and Maine made soda (not great). My only criticism was there was insufficient seating and tables inside. I had to grab a table while my wife completed our order. Hopefully they will add more tables and seating or work out a deal with next door establishment to use some of their outside seating. Overall a good deal for your money, read more
