I was a customer of Liberty, and was very happy with their service. When they switched over to Ehrlich, I committed to giving them a shot, but would switch to someone else if they underperformed. Turned out that Ehrlich has been just as solid as Liberty, and I'm thrilled that I stayed. Every year, I sign up for the comprehensive plan, which has done an amazing job of keeping insects out of my house. There's always once a year when yellowjackets or wasps build a nest in the soffit outside - I call Ehrlich, they zap it, and the bugs are gone for good. I also have them spray at the beginning of fall to keep the stinkbugs out, and that has worked 100%. Technicians are amazing and professional, and aside from their antique approach to online bill pay, I wouldn't change a thing. read more

this is how well Ehrlich exterminates. They lie, they don't check the house, the don't exterminate, as you can see the monthly report shows no evidence of rodents. Every year we go to open up our summer house in the northeast in May- gave ehrlich one more chance this season. Furniture etc ruined. Received monthly statements and reports "no problem"... and they also add services not requested - we have been charged for mosquitos and ticks all winter too... yes- what a problem everyone has with ticks and mosquitos during the winter.... don't use this company ever. Complained previously, promised would not happen again, and you see in the photos, how they honor. I also begged for emergency service. 6 of us, spent three days this weekend, cleaning the entire house out, throwing out the ruined items, trying to decontaminate, scared out of our minds with Hanta Virus in the back of our heads, and I was told they have no room on the schedule for an emergency service, wait until next appointment June 8th- THIS IS HOW THEY DO BUSINESS. For more than two weeks they have completely ignored me. The earliest they offered to come out for an initial inspection was two months after my first phone call. I thought this was unacceptable since I pay a monthly fee for their Pest365+. It's been more than two weeks and I've called 8 times. My request has been escalated 5 times. I've talked to 3 supervisors who say all they can do is escalate my request. I have received zero call backs, zero updates on these escalations and I still do not have an appointment scheduled. When I posted this review around the same time I also spoke with your customer representative to resolve this issue. I have attached three doc for your reference. On 10/19/2022, I called and spoke with the Ehrlich customer represent (18887613030) by phone because I received a bill in regular mail from Ehrlich. The customer representative listened my situation and said the company will investigate this issue. On the same very day, I have received an invoice which Ehrlich did not provide but this time the invoice sent in email instead of regular mail because I provided them the email address. After I spoke with the representative no one call or send me an email or left message in my voice mail. On 12/16/2022, I tried to contact with Ehrlich via email (pestexperts@jcehrlich.com) but did not get any response until now. Then I posted my review in this site. You responded but issue never resolve. I called to the customer service after your response because I did not want to post my private information in this post but still same, issue never resolve. No one contacted with me until 02/11/23. On 02/11/2023, I have received a letter (regular mail) from Ehrlich that Ehrlich will send this invoice for $416.28 to collection department within 10 business day if I do not pay. This same day contact with the customer representative, name Vicky at 5:07pm New York time and she said some one will contact me within 48 hour. Same response gave me other representative previously. I feel like, the biggest mistake I have made to contact with Ehrlich pest control. Do you charge your customer when you send your crew to the site and they could not start their Job because crew do not have the proper tool to work and never showed up to the job site after that? This is very frustrating because we all are very busy with our lives but this extra issue which no one desire. Unreliable. The first appointment I made no one showed up for so I called and I was told the next available appointment was a month away but since I technically already had an existing appointment I would be called back to schedule a sooner appointment . No body called me back. So I called a third time and to make another appointment and was told the inspector would arrive on my appointment date between 4-5 o'clock. At 4:15 I was texted by the inspector and told that he will not be coming because he was being held over at a previous appointment. I contacted the company and all they did was offer to schedule a new appointment for two weeks away. 4 phone calls and two days of my time and me changing my work schedule for this company to do absolutely nothing. read more

Completely unreliable - use at your own peril! I called them after hearing animal noises in my attic early in the summer, and after one visit during which the technician actually planted bait to lure raccoons, no follow-up. Took multiple calls and emails to get a return visit, at which time they told me I had no problem despite an obvious smell. Unfortunately, I believed them, and two weeks later, an air conditioning repairman discovered that raccoons had chewed up all my duct work and had completely fouled the attic. I had to have the attic sanitized and stripped down to the bare wood, replace all duct work and insulation, and install a new air handler. Repair and remediation cost over $46,000, which was only partially covered by my homeowner's insurance. See photos below. When I brought this to the attention of their District Manager, Tim Nichols, he referred it to their insurance carrier, who, after 4 months of foot-dragging, denied any negligence whatsoever. Absolutely zero follow through .Hired Ehrlich to help with a squirrel problem in my new house. They came and set up some one way doors on the holes of my roof and said they would have to come back in 2 weeks to remove them. 2 weeks passed and nothing. I had to call to have them come back out and they couldn't find me in their system- after giving them a check for $1,600 I'd hope they remembered me. They finally found me in their other system? Sent the same guy back out- who continued to pee in my backyard behind my garage- tinkered with the squirrel exits and told me he'd have to come back in another 2 weeks. Well they never followed up and I still have the squirrel exits on my house. Ehrlich doesn't care to follow up and make sure the job is done, but they happily took my check. Ps. A week after they said they'd reach out to fix the problem from this review we still have not heard from them. They just copy and paste the same response to every unhappy customer....3 weeks later they still haven't reached out....a month later they never reached out like they said they would on their reply to this review- 7 months later- never heard from them. He always calls ahead, explains everything thoroughly and gives us a timeline for results along with guidance on when to call again if we see any activity. The technicians are very helpful when they show up, but the back office is unreliable, to say the least. Scheduled appointments, even when confirmed in advance in writing, often don't happen - with little explanation afterwards other than that the visit was "on hold." You need to verify that each scheduled service call was actually made if you are not on-site. That doesn't inspire a lot of trust. However, Ehrlich was quick to contact me when they thought I was late paying my bill. I wasn't, but it would seem to highlight their focus. read more

I called Ehlich Pest Control on May 5th for a problem with ants, & arranged for service the next day. Dan, the man i spoke to, was very informative, told me the name of the serviceman that would be coming with a 2 hour time frame. He also gave me a direct line to call with any questions. The serviceman did not show up in the appointed time, & had not called. So I tried calling Dan to check. Someone else answered, & although she couldn't reach Dan, sent a text to the serviceman, & assured me he was on his way. He did not come & did not call. I tried calling again the next 2 days, & left messages. In one case, I got someone on the phone who saw that the appointment had been scheduled, but that the serviceman was out sick. Again, I was assured someone would call back. After a few more days of frustrating calls, we hired another company to come. The icing on the cake, was 2 weeks later, I was away, called to get my messages. There was a message from a technician from Ehrlic to say he was on his way to my house! Waited around all day (with the carpenter ants), they never came, never called. I had a contract with Ehrlich after they took over Liberty's accounts. I started to have issues with a squirrel this fall, and talked to the technician, Mark, who'd been treating my house. Mark said he would put out extra bait, and when that didn't work, he came again and tried to figure out where they were getting in. He came up empty. A few days later I figured out where they were getting in, and called him. He said he'd come out, put on "one way valves" and that should address the issue. 2 weeks later, it was still a problem. I texted him and asked if he'd put in the valves and he said "yes" and he'd come out again, and that was the last I heard from him. He stopped returning my calls and texts. I sought out a new company, that was well reviewed. When they came out, they told me that my bait traps hadn't been serviced in a long time. I called Ehrlich to complain. It took 2 calls and 3 days before a manager, Chris, called me back. Chris took an attitude with me immediately when we got on the phone, speaking with a demeaning, dismissive tone. When I told him what had happened, and what the other exterminator had said, he replied "they're telling you that to get your business. WE DO THAT, TOO!" When I told him that Mark hadn't done what he told me he would, his response was that I wasn't covered for squirrels, and that Mark was right in not doing work under those circumstances. When I pointed out that Mark had TOLD me he'd DONE the work, but hadn't, Chris brushed that off as a minor issue. So, BEWARE of Ehrlich. BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION, they will tell you what they need to to get your business, and if they don't deliver, they will give you an excuse rather than an apology or a refund. read more

Do not hire Ehrlich! They are dishonest scammers. Long story short, we had to cancel an appointment, we called twice to make sure it had been cancelled and were assured that it had. They sent the guy anyway. When I saw on my security camera that their truck was pulling up to my house, I called their office and told them to get in touch with the guy and tell him not to spray my shed because I was not paying for a service that I had cancelled. I was assured (very rudely) by a person who was supposed to be a manager that I would not be billed. Surprise, surprise, I am being billed. I left a message for the person whose name is on the bill, but nobody has gotten back to me. They are the worst. You don't get to send a guy to a CANCELLED appointment and then bill me for it. Beware of poor billing practice. The tech was always late if he even showed up for his appt. There seems to be a lack of communication with each department of this company. I'd end up with partial service and get billed for full service. I called to request an adjustment or the service and no one would return my calls. The customer service reps always says they have to submit to the local office for approval. After two phone calls trying to correct bills with incorrect charges. I finally get a new bill with the adjustment in a bill format stating delinquent notice with a $5 late payment fee. It has been like this with this company for this past year. I have been a long time customer of Liberty Pest Control now Ehrlich Pest Control. I have to agree with the other customers that since the take over, the service has gone down...not from the technicians but from the office. I have not experienced a lack of call backs but I have had a "no-show". Also, there seems to be a lack of good record keeping and communication when it comes to appointments. I informed the office that I would be away and they scheduled me (unknown to me) for a service while I was away. Kind of hard to service a house when you can't get into it or into the backyard. Fortunately, they called my sister and she told them I was away. On the brighter side, I was able to get a re-schedule pretty quickly. My technician, Corey, is amazing! He always goes above and beyond!! He's the reason I continue to patronize this company. If you can deal with the office and their issues, it is worth using this company. Ehrlich installed a system to keep squirrels out of my attic. They arrived on time and were extremely professional and knowledgeable.

I gave these folks a terrible review due to their unreliable and irresponsible behavior. Someone from Head Office called (I will not post his name) and assured me that he could see from the records that the local Erlich operation had messed up. I was set up on a monthly treatment schedule, and but the local operation "never had my services in their system." This head offce person told me that due to their mistake, he would comp the treatments for the rest of the season for me. Well, guess what: I am now being hounded for "unpaid invoices" for the treatments that were supposed to be comped! These guys are incompetent, unprofessional, and do not appear to be able to schedule Christmas! Do not use them. Go elsewhere if you value your your house - or your sanity!!! read more

I scheduled with Ehrlich Pest Control in October to help take care of a mouse issue. If I hadn't already invested almost $300.00 at this point I think I would tell them never mind. I have had two no shows, no calls. They did not actually do the job they said they would do and put bait traps in my house with poison when I specifically told them not to due to having pets and a baby in the house. They have never looked for entry points in my house and the person that laid the traps came back a MONTH after putting down the traps and was generally shocked that no one had come in to plug up holes. No one communicates and at this point I have done a better job getting rid of the mice then they have. I am supposed to be doing their monthly set up but I'm definitely starting to rethink it. We had a major squirrel problem at our old farmhouse, plus mice, plus flies--all of which were very tough to handle because the house is impossible to fully seal. The last outfit we tried was nice but didn't do much, and didn't solve the problem. Ehrlich was pretty expensive, but the work was, in a sense, minor construction, in that they had to use a complex of ladders (essentially a mini-scaffold) to access steep roofing and put mesh and foam in difficult-to-reach spots alongside several dormer windows. The work also came with a one-year guarantee and they already came back for a total of three visits, just to make sure the treatment is working. On the third visit, they threw in some baits and traps for our mouse problem. So far, the squirrels seem to be gone. Howard was extremely professional, accessible and reliable as our point man. Aaron, our tech, came just when he was supposed to, was very nice and knowledgeable and articulate in answering all our questions. So far we are extremely pleased with Ehrlich, and would highly recommend them for your tough pest problems! read more

Prior to it's acquisition by Erlich, my home had been serviced by Liberty Pest for more years than I can count. Never had a problem. The technicians employed by Erlich are well trained and professional in the performance of their job. However, the office staffing is practically non-existent. I have received several communications in the past month claiming that I had unpaid invoices. The trouble was that I never received an invoice, I called the office to explain the situation and was able to resolve the issue by paying over the telephone, or so I thought. This week I received a letter claiming I had additional unpaid invoices, which was hard to believe as I had paid for the entire year last month. I have tried four times this morning to contact the office to resolve the issue, but no one answers and no one returns my calls. I have had similar problems ever since Erlich acquired Liberty. I can't see any resolution to these recurring problems, other than finding a new service supplier. Too bad because the technicians are great. read more

Ugh, worst company ever. We had an issue with birds in our attic last weekend. We contacted Ehrlich to come out for an emergency call, & were informed no one was available on Saturday. So my husband & I removed the birds, (which ended up getting stuck between the drywall & insulation) ourselves. We promptly made an appointment to seal off the space the following Monday, which ended in a no-show from Ehrlich. A phone call to the corporate office connected us to the regional sales office where we spoke to Carlos. He told us that our appointment was never on the schedule, (even though the corporate office easily found it), that it wasn't covered under our $800 annual membership, & even if it was there was no availability for weeks anyways. He was extremely rude & dismissive & unsympathetic to our problem. We were extremely worried about whether more birds would come in & build a nest within the next couple of days so wanted to seal off the vent & clean up the space asap. We immediately called Suburban Pest Control, who came out, sealed the space the next day & didn't charge us a cent. Should it cost $800 a year for them to spray & replace glue traps quarterly & never be available when you really need them? I don't think so. Do yourself a favor and cancel Ehrlich today. read more

This company is a joke! I dont know how they are even in business. My mom referred me to them because she knew one of the salesman and knew I had a mice problem. I decided to sign up for 2 services - pest free 365 for $40/month and a tick and mosquito plan for 4 treatments at $95/treatment. After I sent in all my enrollment paperwork, I played the waiting game. After 7 days of them having my enrollment paperwork with NO phone call to schedule my initial treatment for pest free 365, I came home to a bill for $40 and decided to call them to discuss my bill and schedule my own appointment. They had called and left me a message 2 days prior with a scheduled appointment for the tick and mosquito plan. On the day of my first 365 treatment, they were a no call/no show. So I called the next day and was very pleasant but I did tell them how unhappy I was from the start, and now this. They apologized and reschedule my 365 appointment and confirmed my tick and mosquito appointment. Today was supposed to be the tick and mosquito treatment, but again, they were a no call/no show... Oh AND I came home to ANOTHER $40 bill for 365 and still haven't received the service! Absolutely ridiculous. Needless to say, I called and cancelled all services. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
