I've never written a review like this before, and when I look back on this, I'll probably feel that this is not my proudest moment, but I've also never had an experience like this before. I actually lost my appetite when I saw my food. It wasn't so much the food itself, but what I received for what I paid. So I actually visited their food truck and not their brick and mortar. The Rruck was out in Auburn Hills for the Stellantis Wild Wheels at Work event that they hold yearly. I wanted to try their brisket and it being lunch decided to opt for their 2-meat sandwich for $16. Since I didn't want to mix meats, I told them that I'll just have double brisket. Well after ringing it up, my total was $23! I clarified that I wanted the sandwich and not the meal and I was told that there was an up charge for double brisket. Apparently a $7 up charge. Now if I ended up getting an extra side of brisket, I may have been able to justify it to myself, but after receiving the sandwich, it looks like I received just a single portion of brisket (3 slices). If this was the "double brisket" I shudder to find out what the regular sandwich at $16 will get you. (See pics) In all honesty, I was so disguised at what I was charged, I completely lost my appetite and gave the sandwich away. To quote S.L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction "sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I would still never eat them dirty..." I will never visit this place again. A Michelin Chef can get away with charging you $23 for a brisket sandwich, but I'm sure it would be elevated and not just 3 slices of meat on a bun topped with some sauce. Since Agave and Lime is known for its bowls, I had to get one. I had the owners build one for me. It consisted of cilantro lime rice, adobo chicken, black beans, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, roasted corn, salsa roja, and truck sauce. The contents were as balanced as they could be, and the salsa roja and truck sauce complemented each other well. I also got the baja shrimp tacos. These tacos were flavorful, and more importantly, stuffed! The diced mangos were also a nice touch. My favorite part of the meal though was the cantina nachos. Similar to the bowl, the contents were well balanced, and all the right flavors were present. The nachos alone can easily feed a small group. If you look at breweries' food truck schedules prior to going like I do, be on the look out for Agave and Lime!
