This place is AWESOME. We found it after running around to appointments. Everything is freshly made and the crepes are made right in front of you. We have only had the dessert crepes but there is so much more. Very reasonable priced. We live over 45 minutes away and still go regularly because it is absolutely worth it. NEVER going back again. The food was actually really good, but the service was anything but. We waited around 10 minutes just for someone to help us because we were paying with cash. When someone finally came over, the customer service was severely lacking. She didn't greet us or ask what we wanted to order -- instead, she just stared at us for a few seconds before making a snarky remark about us having to redo our order with her to pay cash, which we already knew after waiting so long. When 8 Turn Crêpe first opened, they were generous with their custard and fruit. Now, the quality has gone downhill badly. The crêpes are dry, with only 4 or 5 thin slices of fruit placed on top and nothing inside. There's barely any custard -- it's so dry you practically need water just to swallow it. On top of that, prices have gone up while ingredients have clearly been reduced. They even ask for tips, and if you want extra custard, you have to pay for it. This isn't a pizza place where charging for extra toppings makes sense -- custard is a basic part of a crêpe. I won't be going back, and I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money here anymore. read more

Walking up to the store, they do have a display of all their crepes, which looks quite nice and proved difficult to eat in the cones they are served in. We all got a savory and a sweet crepe by far the sweet crepes were preferred. While the savory crepes were not bad, they just lacked flavor and as mentioned before, they were hard to eat in the cone they are served in. Highly suggest yall fix your menu board. After a pretty heavy, rich dinner, we needed something sweet to satisfy our sweet tooth. We've had ETC at Katy Chinatown so we decided to check out the new one in Pearland. We walked into an empty store which meant we got top notch service and our order came out quickly. I was craving some chocolate that day so I went with the Chocolate Nut Party. This had a variety of nuts, gelato, truffles and all sorts of yummy goodness. It was just the right amount of sweet. The yogurt gave it a slight tartness that made all the flavors work well together. I had no intentions on going this place as I had just picked up some smoothies from Jamba Juice, but something drew me in- curiosity perhaps. The owner was very nice and explained the concept of the savory crepes vs dessert/classic crepes. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak crepe, Thai chicken crepe, Strawberry Nutella crepe, and the Fruit cocktail Harajuku crepe. The Thai Chicken didn't even make it home. This was my first time at Eight Turn Crepe. It is a really cute shop - I love all the fake food models they have of different crepes. My friend said it reminded her of the restaurant displays in Japan, where she lived for a while when she was younger. I ordered the dulce de leche banana crepe to go, which you can also get as dulce de leche strawberry. It was really good. I liked that it had whipped yogurt in it, which cut down on what otherwise might have been overpowering sweetness, and the crepe part was yummy as well. The wrapper and to-go cup was nicely designed. You can tear the wrapper as you go so your hands don't get messy from the filling inside the crepe. (Of course, I failed to notice the "tear here" directions until I already got chocolate on my hands.) The crepe was filling as well. My friend and I had contemplated going to Jamba Juice next door as well, but (1) we both decided to get sweet crepes instead of savory and (2) we were too full to also have a smoothie anyway! They also have gelato and some coffee drinks on their menu that looks good as well, but we didn't try them out this time. read more

This place is so dope. Interesting concept and definitely hip. Now I am not a crepes girl. Never saw the appeal. But the way they elevated it here makes me a teeny weeny more into crepes. I looooved the lox. But I'm not sure if it's because naturally I'm obsessed with lox sandwiches (being a NY/NJer) . It eats super fresh and the only one that had not turned into a soggy mess by the time I got home. Also tried the chicken thai (get it spicy) which was delish!!! Very warm and savory and flavorful. My least favorite was the matcha strawberry. It didn't taste bad per se...but I put it in my fridge and tried to eat a bit for dessert after dinner (this was about 5 hours after purchase) and it was not good at all. Very mushy and unappetizing. The service here was great. Slight wait which may be problematic if I had not been the only one. Final grade: B I'd go back for the lox and maybe try the tiramisu. read more

First off, glad to see a crepe place in Pearland! I also have to go into Houston or Sugarland to find crepes. Sometimes I just want to be closer to home. This place is fairly new. I went in about an hour or so before they closed. I believe the owner was the one helping me and ringing me up. Not sure but he was very friendly with me. I designed my own crepe and I enjoyed their options & I enjoyed the taste as well. The only down side for me is I didn't get a chance to eat it fresh. I had to wait, so it was kind of cold by the time I ate it, but I will go back and try it fresh some time. I also took a sample of the Mango Gelato & Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato. I really liked the Mango gelato. I didn't like the actual nuts in the Hazelnut gelato, but the flavor was cool. If you like nuts in your sweets then you will enjoy that flavor. Again I'm just happy a crepe place is closer to my area of town, but it was needed in the pearland area anyway. I want to give it another chance so that I can try the crepe as soon as its made. Very nice to have this option in Pearland. I've tried several flavors and they are all delicious. I can't eat wheat so this opens up a lot of choices for me. I've been to this location multiple times and every time that I go, I have to wait 30-40 minutes for my order to arrive. Even the times I've been when it was just me in the building, it took the same amount of time. When I went with my family, our orders came at all different times. By the time the last person got their order, the first person who got their crepe already finished. Even other crepe places are faster than this place. I have come here twice for the crepes, but this last time I ordered the nutella latte and it took 40 minutes for it to come out. It tasted of only milk and coffee and not at all like nutella. That's also just personal preference and I know they don't make the recipes, but I just wanted to warn those who would want to order this expecting something sweet. The food is alright. It's clean. Stopped in the other day. They have two kiosk tablets to enter your order and pay via tap credit cards so that you don't have to talk to another human being. And they have one normal cash register. The couple in front of me had some issues paying because their credit card didn't have the tap-to-pay capability. The cashier tried to help, but she didn't know how to process a credit card. They ended up paying with a phone that could do the tap-to-pay. I asked the cashier if they accept cash, she said yes. Also be aware that they require you to give them a phone number just to start an order. I ordered one of their fruit crepes and it came out to $11.90. The cashier short-changed me. When I brought it to her attention, she replied oh we don't have coins; like that's the norm at this establishment. That would have been nice to know before I ordered, or maybe at the time I handed over my $15, or at the very least when you were handing me back three dollars. But she said nothing. I wasn't going to quibble over ten cents either way, but you could have earned yourself a tip there if you were nice about it. Anyway, the wait wasn't that long and the crepe I received was okay. Nothing worth returning for at any price point, but for what I received, I think $12 is about $3 too much. This place seems to put emphasis on its high tech gizmos and not enough on basic customer service or being prepared to take payment in anything other than tap-to-pay. I'm being generous with 3 stars, and giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I just came in on an off day or maybe I didn't order the best thing on the menu. My friends had the crepes and I had the gelato. The gelato was ok, not anything like amorino gelato which is the best in houston by far. My friends did not really like their crepes, they did not like the mix of yogurt and chocolate kind of a weird combination... and the fact that the crepes were cold. Coming from europe and having crepes growing up it was just too much trying to be outside of the box.
