I found Frank's tattoo and piercing shop through his apprentice and I have zero regrets! I originally was going to get pierced by his apprentice but we had scheduling issues so he offered to do it in her place. Frank is THE most thorough piercer I've ever had. I've gotten over 6+ piercings and he's the only one who was the most thorough in explaining everything, the process, and anything else you can think of. He's the first piercer I've been to that uses the hoops to visualize where the piercing will lay and I love being able to check in the mirror. Most pierces just mark your ear and send you off to the mirror but I love that I had a physically element to compare to! The shop is clean and has a great variety of basic earrings you can choose. Frank was super accommodating and friendly. I ended up getting 2 helix piercings near each other and he constantly checked in with me to see if I was okay or dizzy. He even offered sweets. One of the other reasons I'm happy with my visit is he gave other advice that other piercers didn't give me like switch out my pillow (duh!) and place a pillow under your elbow if you toss and turn in your sleep. Overall, I would recommend his shop and his piercings! Some tattoo/piercing places are intimidating and have stinky vibes but this shop is welcoming and warm. Thanks Frank! read more

Walked in to replace a missing septum ball. Frank did it BUT, it hurt so bad while he was doing it. So rough IMO hurt more than piercing it at 12g. not only that when i got up and looked, the new ball looked slightly smaller and he brushed it off saying it was probably just shinier... I went for a walk-in after I got my naval pierced two months ago by a different piercer and it fell out. I went to Frank to get my naval reopened or to see if I needed to get it repierced, since it had been 7 days after it had fallen out. Frank was so informative and confident about the process. We tapered my belly button piercing and were able to get new jewelry in within 5 minutes. He told me that controlling my breathing was what made it easy, and he helped me through the breathing process. My friend wanted a sentence on his chest but he wasn't sure how to orient it on his chest. Frank printed various styles on paper to show what it would look like. When I lost my babygrr a few months ago I knew I needed a tattoo of her gorgeous fuzzy face on my forearm. It's part of my grieving process, don't judge me. :) Since the lockdown had just begun I had plenty of time to narrow down the list of artists for this incredibly important piece of work (to me, at least). I narrowed it down to 3 based on their styles and contacted each of them. 2 of them responded but the vibes weren't right. They didn't ask any questions and seemed a bit put-out I wanted my cat on my arm. Then there was Frank. He responded to me within an hour and actually asked me about the tattoo in-depth. He wasn't at all irritated at what my tat was and engaged like an actual human being! I went back and forth about whether I should include her paws and he never once got upset with my questions. The shop is very clean and the other artist there was friendly, too. Frank went over the needed paperwork and then gave me a few sizes of my Purdy to look at. I immediately turned her portrait to face me and he told me that it should go the other way or it would look upside down to everyone. He even showed me his own arm tat as an example and he was right, it would have looked weird. He managed not to laugh at me for it, lol and he kept a straight face through the explanation. The tattooing itself was professional and you can tell he knows what he's doing. While working on my tat he was detailing the use of the equipment to one of the other artists. It's nice when everyone has a thorough knowledge of the entirety of their profession. Frank checked on me multiple times and communicated very well. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I have 8 tats and was never nervous about any of them until this one. They are pretty much dragon-related and though they all mean a lot to me this picture of my furry soulmate is by far the most important work I've had done. My upper-arm wyvern is awesome but if it didn't come out looking exactly right he'd just need to be renamed from "Grolofnir the Great" to Gary the Middling", no biggie. Mistakes made to this tat would mean it wasn't my Purdykins. The tattoo came out incredible, absolutely awesome! I can't tell anyone enough how much I adore Frank and the tat he gave me. Purdys eyes are just so HER I actually cried a bit. Which for me is a huge deal. Frank and 8th Element are wonderful and I really, really recommend trusting them with whatever art you want done.
